I marked out in the Snyder Cut, after he put on the black suit he flew above earth, stretched his arms out as if absorbing the sunlight. Then proceeded to beat the crap out of Steppenwolf.
He actually ordered a blue suit on Wish, but they sent him a black one instead. Anyone who has dealt with Wish’s costumer service knows it is just easier to keep what they sent you.

The Reign of the Supermen actually took over a year. Before that, and after his death, they ran "Funeral For A Friend." Then all Superman comics were put in hiatus for a little while.

There’s actually a thematic element to Superman putting on the black suit in the Snyder Cut too. As Clark walks down the walkway in the scout ship in ZSJL we hear both Jor-El and Pa Kent speak to him and give him guidance before and after he puts on the Black suit. In Man of Steel it’s shown that on and off of Krypton, Kryptonians typically wear the black clothes under their armored suits. Jor-El wore it, Zod wore it etc. Superman putting on the black suit in ZSJL is symbolic of him embracing his Kryptonian heritage and becoming “whole” so to speak.
The regeneration matrix did not “bring him back to life”, he didn’t die.
He absolutely did die. Heart stopped and everything. The solar radiation revived him. But medically, and legally, he was dead. Dead dead.

It's like that horrendous darkseid avatar shit. It doesn't matter if some writer comes out of nowhere and says suddenly all the other darkseids weren't actually really him. Which was quickly ignored. And doesn't apply to the stories already written what so ever. So they weren't avatars.

Spoilers:
He goes ham on Steppenwolf. Towards the end, we are in that possible future that Bruce saw in BvS where Lois dies. Clark becomes the new ruler of Earth and he starts hunting down the others. I'm assuming that's what the second movie will be about and it's up to Barry to go back in time to stop that from happening.

Short version, The Eradicator as pure energy, entered Superman's tomb. He attempted to posses Clark's body, just as his soul reentred his body. Solo... In a flash of light as determined later, the eradicator using Kal's dna template created a clone body out of the walls of the tomb itself. Kal's body was brought to the fortress because. The Eradicator very confused after being dispered by Emil Hamilton a few years before thought HE was Kal-EL. The body was taken and put in the egg because it was still a solar battery. Empty but a battery to be recharged as Eradicator could not absorb sunlight directly for energy. So he used the egg. The egg funneled solar energy into Kal's body. The egg transferred it to Eradicator. Clark's resurection was not planned. But it happened anyways. That's why his body was in the suit. Hence his awakening in it. The black S suit one assumes is the same suit with a bit of metal fabrication via the service robots. The Eradicator thought he was the resurected Kal-El in part. Later it figured out who it actually is. Also without Kal's body it could not recharge. Part of why it scarificed itself to stop the Cyborg Superman (Henshaw). Repowered Superman and saved him from the kryptonite blast. After that he put on the red & blue again.
I really wish they did more with Steel; I like what he represented historically and was kinda like a Iron Man / Black Panther combo but for DC

When he comes out of the regeneration matrix it's not actually confirmed he is the original Superman. That is why Eradicator Superman is not on the monitor and they had a panel showing he looks just like Eradicator Superman, too suggest he was Eradicator Superman, who was using the fortress as his own anyways for a while so readers were use to him there giving the robots orders. But everyone knew.

I think they're going to use him more considering he's on the splash page up and front for the new Superman run currently ongoing. Was happy to see that myself since I want the same thing for him.

I'm Black and Puerto Rican like Miles, so its very good to see his heritage in the comics, movie and games. Funny how Superman and Spider-Man are both my favorites heroes from DC and Marvel.
Why does his heritage matter? None of my favorite comic characters look anything like me. I dont care.

@@eskanda3434 Idk where you live but in America, we have heroes of all races and ethnicities but majority are white. Nothing wrong with that but you have to take in 2 things
1. The beginning of these comics were made during times where people of color wouldn't be accepted.
2. Seeing heroes of different races and ethnicities make ppl feel involved (not all feel this way). Seeing someone who comes from their background, someone they can relate to, feels good. Also, I feel it helps shed away the nasty stereotypes.

That Black Suit is a nicer version of his Krypton garments shown in, The Day of the Krypton Man
The Black solar Kryptonian suit was made to absorb solar energy from the sun faster than the regular traditional Superman suit.
Makes sense black absorb heat more than bright color

Makes sense for a black suit to absorb solar energy faster, as the color black absorbs all light whereas other colors reflect electromagnetic radiation of its frequency (color).
The Snyder Cut didn’t go into detail why Superman wears his black and silver resurrection suit because the Warner Bros execs, being unfamiliar with Superman’s comic book history, didn’t wanted Superman in the black and silver suit as they thought it was out of character. Snyder had to sneak it in by agreeing to use the red and blue suit and color corrected the suit to black and silver in post production. It was the best he could do under the circumstances.

I’m confused by some of what you said. Since Superman was resurrected in the Justice League film, it made sense for him to don the black and silver suit in The Snyder Cut.

I wish his suits were a lil more explained like the blue suit being protective against projectiles and stuff because it’s more tightly woven together but it’s also allows FOR less sunlight to be absorbed; whereas the black suit is a lot less protection because of looser woven fabric but allows more direct sunlight to his skin due to the Gaps between the treads. I think these would make his suits cooler and more desirable. Like having a suit that’s fabric works against red sunlight or one that negates some magic etc etc.

Well the black can also refer to the fact that the color black absorbs maximum heat, and as Superman's main source of energy is the sun therefore the 'black' recovery suit makes sense🤔🤔

I love the way that Jack change the Justice League movie it was really really good it had more story to it more things that we were missing and I love the way they show dark side that was really great and I love the way they push him in his black suit.
