Jim has made such a big impact. These collab. videos are so enjoyable and interesting. I too discovered Janey through an earlier Jim video. Please keep the visits to other creators up! They are great.
I love watching both of your channels. Thank you for all your hard work.
I have enjoyed the videos with you and Janey. You both make gardening fun and offer so much good advice. I like that you share your failures along with your many successes. Safe travels as you head back to Raleigh. Your trip has been enviable.
Thanks for introducing Janey's garden to us❤ love that she learned from Jim's channel and is now applying it in her new garden with her own style.
Janey’s enthusiasm is infectious!
Another awesome collaboration! Love these! Thanks to all involved! 😊
Great video….question for Janey…have you ever planted a Plumeria? I’m in zone 9b and a great tree with beautiful smelling flowers and easy care.
Hi . Very cool video .l always watch your channel also the channel of my wonderful friend Janey . Have anice day .
Janey, don't worry your pretty little head. I could hear Jim perfectly fine. Don't be too hard on yourself. You're doing a great job despite some difficulties.
Paul is a great man, I’m glad you mentioned him. I learned so much from him. Hello from Romania!
Love Janey! So glad you visited her! ❤
Thank you for sharing Janey's garden and her take on gardening. She has a way with colorful plantings...reminds me of a painting.
Thanks for this, Jim! You and Janey are two of only a handful of gardeners whose RUclips videos I watch without fail. I am in North Central Texas, so I am in a different zone and climate than both of you, but I still pick up a lot every time. I appreciate the gifts you bring to the world for our learning and enjoyment.
Jim, I've always loved watching you and thought you were a good guy. But my opinion of you has gone even higher since you went to visit Janey.
It is so kind and thoughtful and considerate to visit Janey and help her out, especially when she's temporarily disabled.
I love ya, Jim!
Thanks Janey. Just added JP to my subscriber list. Looks like binge watching in the future for me...
Love you two together!! The enthusiasm is catching!!
Thank you for taking us on this new project! I'm excited to follow along!
This is so fun to watch. Nice collaboration between Jim and Janey. I have a suggestion for Janey and her well understood need to get it all done yesterday. Graphing out your garden on paper really helps. Figuring out where the hardscape and large trees etc will be placed. Draw it out. It will keep the garden cohesive and cost you less in planting and removing plants. Graphing it out is really fun for your brain and imagination too. Much easier to change plans on paper. Thank you.
I really loved it when you talked about how each region is different and has different growing conditions. I live in southern Michigan and surprisingly we experience drought conditions frequently in summers nowadays.
I love watching Janey and I totally agree that being aware of regional differences is a key. I am trying to pick plants that are suited to NC coastal conditions. I love roses so I am picking roses that are fine living in sandy soils. Blanket flowers grow in the sand dunes as a weed so they are getting planted in my yard.
Awesome!! you’re two of my favorite RUclipsrs. 9b is definitely a hard place to grow plants
I love how you're interviewing all the great gardener's across the country. Really enjoying the videos 😊😊
Really fun to watch. Jim’s wealth of knowledge and experience along side Janey’s infectious enthusiasm. Great collaboration. Thanks
Jim indeed makes a great impact! I have a self accredited horticultural degree just by watching his videos in the past 3-4 years!😂😂😂
You’re the best Jim Putnam!
I have so enjoyed these videos that you have done with Janey. I like your frankness and honesty delivered in such a sweet way. Thanks, Jim
Love both of your channels!
I love when my garden “friends” do videos together! Thanks for sharing!
So enjoyable, so much enthusiasm from two of my favorite gardeners!
Love Janey, glad to find you through her!
🎉🎉🎉fan girling🎉🎉🎉 You two are my go to garden instructors!
Wonderful interview! Love Janey!
Janey so glad I found you and Jim
The challenge of the different climate is interesting.
Wow! Her previous landscaping looked amazing! Gonna be hard to top that, but I have a feeling she’ll probably pull it off! Good luck!!
So many people learn from Jim, just finished doing some annoying hummingbird vines that keep popping up in my garden,Jim said now is the best time when they are going to sleep
I love Janey's you tube channel; can't wait to see all the changes she makes. Thanks, Jim, for the video, I'm a new subscriber. I'm in zone 6a western New York but I watch a lot of different youtubers its so interesting.
Jim I have a question about deer damage. In one night the deer rubbed their antlers on several small trees ripping limbs from the trunk. The corkscrew willow and sweet bay are the most damaged. What should I do. The bark is scuffed off more than 18 inches on a 3 inch trunk. I’ve enjoyed your travel videos.
There’s a channel called Urban Farmstead from Sacramento. Kyle, I believe, is a firefighter. He has 45 videos. A lot of them are very interesting.
I love both of your channels and to hear you Jim say you're collaborating with Janey as she has a good outlook is a compliment.
I'm in the UK but on a SW coast elevated position, with clay soil (our village literally had a colliery and brick works).I don't have a standard cottage garden. I can't even have hanging baskets as they get thrown against walls.
The 'not a race' mindset is definitely a good way of thinking about gardens and changing even minor areas.
Best wishes to you both, from a very wet Wales, UK.
Fantastic video! I love the difference between your different gardens. It truly shows the difference between zones. Thank you for the video.
Squirrels and Deer here. Got a picture of a Buck eating my Mums in my Pots on the porch ( Ring doorbell said someone was at my door ) 😂
Really enjoyed seeing Janie and Jim together in the video today. Great content, I am only 45 minutes away from Raleigh NC.
Donna here, so fun seeing you tour other peoples gardens. Janey's channel just popped up on my list last year after I watched one of your videos, and of course I had to binge watch. Great interview!
I had wondered Janie what was underneath all the mulch. I understand the frustration with all the different materials used. I had a landscaper that used plastic, then another whom I asked to remove the plastic, well they didn't now some of my garden beds have a layer of plastic, mulch, landscape fabric and more mulch. I could scream, since I am not physically or financially able to get it redone correctly. I feel like a taken advantage of elderly widow. Jim you have always given such good information.
Janie has a great utube!!!
Good show with Janey. And I can hear BOTH of y’all. 😂 {{love you Janey}}
No rabbits, no squirrels and no deer on our side of the freeway but gophers galore !!! coastal Arcata, CA , zone 9b
I love that you went to Janey's!!!!
This was great, I love Janey and it was good to see you with her!
Since she’s starting from scrap, she should take the time to contour the landscape and make a little watershed and capture water so it doesn’t just runoff.
They both have AWSOME personalities!
Janey, the audio was fine. It's just the way that man talks. It's a bit hard to understand him at times.
🌴ENJOYED 🌴
Thanks for great video. Wonderful for you to have this road trip and visit other gardens!
So enjoying these collaboration videos with you and Janie!
Loving your tours. Great info. You tube has given us a great gardening community!
Love these videos Jim. As always a wealth of information.
Ive watched her for years but this is the first time seeing her new place.
great video! So fun to watch two of my favorite gardeners!
Love that Jim is going to diff zones to meet great gardeners to hopefully extend our knowledge to zones pertaining to our own gardens . Any zone 5b gardeners that you can visit Jim? 😅
He’s visited Erin, The Impatient Gardener! 😊
Great conversation! I enjoyed seeing you & Janey converse.
Janey, it’s really looking like a garden! Take care!
Your climate seems similar to Houston, TX. I actually have seen several new plants on your show that I bought seeds for and I’m gonna be trying them out this spring!
I live in Houston, I totally understand this channel
Loved this! Thanks for sharing! 🌺
Janey is delightful. I hope she fully heals soon.
Janey seems like wonderful person!
Hi Jim. Yes I watched Janey too. I didn’t know she moved as well. I’ve discovered several RUclips garden channels I followed over the years had relocated due to space. I truly appreciate what Janey said. The fun part about gardening is nothing is set in stone. Things can always be moved. I rearranged multiple plants this fall in my garden which I’m truly happy with. I’ll be doing more this Spring. TY for this nice meet up ❤
Happy to see Janey on your channel, Jim!!! Great collab. Love the comradery in the RUclips gardening community 🌱🌻
Thank you so much for your focus on sustainability and local character in gardening. I'm so lucky to be right down the road from Jim so his location specific tips will work for me, but I enjoy learning from Janey too. Can't wait to see her garden evolve!
Jim definitely has made a lot of impact to many gardeners of all different levels including myself! I certainly has learned a lot from him already and will continue!! No non-nonsense way of bringing pertinent information in gardening to viewers!! Tks again Jim for sharing your broad valuable knowledge!! 👍😃
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
So fun awesome thank yall
Thanks Jim and Janey. 🦃🍁🍂💚🙃
Great conversation between you two. I've enjoyed following you on your trip to all the gardens. Glad you got Janie and her new garden projects.
