Jim and Steph, thank you for visiting MapleWalk. It was fun getting to know both of you! It's always a joy to show knowledgeable visitors the efforts of our labor. Looking forward to seeing you again and sharing more of MapleWalk with your loyal subscribers.
I’m from Greenville, NC. I work for myself doing landscaping, and it also my one and only hobby. I’ve really gotten into designing lately, and I love seeing other’s gardens, perspectives, and how they view a space. I need to come visit next time I’m in Charlotte. I’ve wanted to check it out for a few years, but it just hasn’t worked out.
Tom and Lib, your garden is absolutely amazing. Your knowledge, care, and dedication to maintaining it is an inspiration to us all. Thank you for sharing your artistic creation with us. I would love to have you for neighbors so you could be my garden mentors!
This was one of my favorite tours, and I watch them all. Tom seemed super down to Earth! "I've killed more than you'll ever plant." Love what he and his wife have created. Thanks for taking us there, Jim & Steff!
My garden is like yours, Jim. It’s small and packed full because I love so many plants. Hence it requires considerable attention to save the plants from each other This spacious garden is like a breath of fresh air. Deep breath!
Awesome tour! I love how Steph’s walk through combined with the drone footage showed us more of the garden than the walk and talk ever could. Excellent video.
Delighted to see this tour and hear straight from Tom’s mouth an invitation, anytime, free.!!! If I lived nearby it would be my daily walk. I won’t live long enough to create such a beautiful place.
What i love about these gardeners and their gardeners are the knowledge they encompass around each plant. They give you their experiences with the various plants and actual advice on what you can expect from them. Thanks, Jim and Steph!
Beautiful! That Mondo grass lawn! That’s the best example I’ve ever seen! Seems like you could hear every little thing in that setting. Thank you for sharing your garden.
This tour takes my breath away - just when you think you've seen the most beautiful and lush view of the landscape, another turn in the garden shows us another view, just as, or more beautiful than the one before. Thank you to Lib and Tom for hosting Stephany and Jim at MapleWalk and providing a memorable experience for all of us viewers. Thank you, Stephany and Jim, I'm on the edge of my seat for more content from this garden.
I’ve followed you for several years and have learned so much from you. I really enjoyed these two garden tour videos in Charlotte. It was just the right amount of information mixed with quiet walking video. Great job! Thank you! I hope to visit Maplewalk one day!
Another amazing tour. His generosity to open this garden for the public to enjoy is such a gift! The tranquility is remarkable and his personality infectious! ❤️
You find the most delightful gardeners who are willing to share their beautiful garden scapes. I always get inspiration from your featured garden tours.
I agree about the spring being best, especially here in the south...our fall typically leaves a lot to be desired...I think our heat deters the best color.
That Acuba is spectacular...I gotta have it. And the stone bench. This was another good one, Jim. Your guest was a delight, knowledgeable, yet full of personal stories. ❤
Oh so true I've killed so many things too!! Slowly but surely I've learnt and lo & behold some things are growing! Loved this! That Wolf Eyes Dogwood.. be still my heart! What a great bunch of garden tours you're giving us... thank you! PS that bunny-- he really wants to meet you! 🐰
Such a beautiful garden! I greatly appreciate all the stories about the features, plants and how it has developed through the years. I would want to visit many times in every season because I’m sure I would notice something different each time! Lovely! 💕💕💕👌👌👌
Incredible! I appreciated the voice silent walk through, I actually used the Merlin app to identify the birds I was hearing. Looking forward to you returning for more content.
I've been a resident of Chaotte since 1996 and just found out about Maplewalk this Mother's Day. It, and the Serenity garden nearby, are fantastic private, yet public, gardens easily accessible in south Charlotte. I would highly recommend visiting if you're ever in The Queen City! 💜
Thank you for the quiet spaces in the video. Most enjoyable. Like trying to watch an athletic competition, I’d much prefer to watch than listen to the “commentary.” Charlotte gardens visits were great!
Incredible!!! I love, love that they do everything themselves. I understand that this is a tour(not RUclipsrs) but there are a handful of popular RUclipsrs that become successful with their channels and hire a bunch of help. I don’t hold that against them but my interest dissipates really fast as having a beautiful garden self grown vs having professional landscapers come in and complete half of the work(planting, hardscape, etc), is everything. This garden is amazing! Bravo!!!!
Thanks for sharing this walk with us! It was like going home to me. Lived in the next neighborhood over, watched in amazement as that garden grew and grew and grew. A lovely haven in a very busy city.
So stunning. I'm always drawn to flowers, but then I see these incredible gardens that rely more on foliage and texture. Serene. A good reminder to seek balance in a garden.
Thank you for doing this tour! I love Maples but I don’t have a lot of space. My son has became addicted to maples. He loves to find the unique varieties. I hope to help him create a small growing area where he can continue to grow and learn more about them.
Wonderful conversation and video. I really enjoyed seeing such a beautiful garden and also hearing the stories about the hardscape. Thank you for always showing us great gardens!
I really love watching your videos. You are so knowledgeable and so passionate about plants. I love these kind of trips too. You give me a lot of inspiration.

Jim: WHAT are those sublime large trees, pruned expertly to max sunlight, the really tall, gracefully-limbed trees surrounding MapleWalk, please???
Such a beautiful and peaceful garden. Thank you!
