    One thing I really appreciate is how you allow your guests to talk. Some youtubers feel like they have to steal the show and answer their own questions but you allow the guests to share their knowledge. Thank you.

    That weeping Japanese maple! Omg I’m in love with it! Absolutely amazing tree. I love how Jay opened it up to see inside. It looks like a fairy house. If I wrote/ illustrated a children’s book I’d add that tree because it truly looks magical. Those before and after are insane!! It doesn’t look like the same place at all.

    I usually like at least some turf, because I like the contrast of nice turf and plants, but this property is absolutely beautiful. That is how you do a no turf yard. Clearly everything has been well thought out, and not to mention the homeowner has taken care of it. Anything looks good the first couple years, but things need ongoing maintenance. Amazing house and garden.

    I'm so jealous of the beautiful conifers in this garden that I can't grow in my 9a Gulf Coast area. I'm trying to find one that is narrow and small to add a little height and winter interest to my front garden. I'm thinking that a juniper is my best choice to survive our extreme heat and humidity and have been waiting for an Aquavita Juniper to become available. I could use some blue foliage in my garden.

    • @alanerpington5698
      @alanerpington5698 Месяц назад +1

      @@alanerpington5698 I haven't heard any news for a couple of years now that I've been waiting to find some. It's not looking good as a couple of online nurseries have discontinued them. I've just emailed Proven Winners Direct to inquire about the status as they still list them on their website.

    My next door neighbor planted one of those contorted filberts, she moved and I guess the new owners thought the plant was dead because they cut it to the ground early this spring. It has started sending shoots up from the trunk. If they knew what she paid for it I don't think they would have been so quick to chop it down lol.

    Do the Ruby Falls Redbuds or Golden Falls do well in the sun over here in East, NC? Or do they need shade? I know the Eastern Redbud Species are everywhere. Don’t see cultivars very often, though.

Everillo dies out during the winter for me here so much it doesn't recover and the Bowles seems to handle our winter better . It's just an observation I've made over the years after having both plants and trying them both in different places/conditions in my garden . That being said the white /green variegated everillo is hardier for me than the lime green .
