- Thanks to a developer we now know how to get the darksaber in Jedi Survivor. No this is not a mod.

How in the world does it make sense for Cal to have a darksaber?
I know having more lightsabers is fun but cmon be realistic with the expectations

I think we just have to wait for an expansion. If everyone remembers, the red crystal in Jedi Fallen Order also appeared in the Battle Grid free dlc. So, if there's an expansion/dlc for Jedi Survivor and a concept of black crystal for the lightsaber exists in the base game, the dlc can bring an option to equip the real black crystal, not just for the photo mode.
I'm surprised the game didn't already come with a battle grid. Would like to do some boss battles without replaying the whole game

@@thecrimsondragonslayer6533 well, the same reason there's no optimization. They ran out of time. I think they are fixing the game first, then coming up with some extra content.

@@hedgehoginacanoe5838 it's different dark core lightsabers where just a regular lightsaber with a black core instead of a white core whereas the darksaber is completely unique
The Darksaber has a flat blade. Black lightsaber is cylindrical. And yeah, I remember TFU. That was a fun game.

Not THE dark saber all most people really want is the black blade for the normal style saber. Being able to choose between a single edge or standard saber would probably work though given how the game handles attack animations
Someone on Reddit accidentally got a glitch where it looked like they were actually using the dark saber. Unfortunately there is still yet a clear method to do it to be found

Yeah, they could've added it as a lightsaber crystal to find in the game like in The Force Unleashed back in the day.

It's creator was the first mandalorian to join the Jedi order the dark saber is just a unique black lightsaber
I would love to have the Black Lightsaber Crystal for this that did come out before Disney bought Star Wars that first appeared on Star Wars the Force Unleashed that originally grew exclusively on a Sith planet and I am not talking about the "come to the dark side" Sith, but the species of the namesake. Also it was the only one to emit heat unlike normal lightsabers, which would be handy to have on a place like Hoth.

It's technically not even the dark saber cause the dark saber was based on a katana I belive that's just a standard saber without color. But ok

Wait, that actually explains a lot! I mean, until now, we wondered why the darksaber looked totally different than other lightsabers; it's more like a sword, while other lightsabers are more like...baseball bats. But now we get the explanation from this photo mode effect.
My theory is that all lightsabers are actually like darksabers; they all have sharp edges. But they all emit a lot of light, which makes it impossible to see the edges. However, the darksaber doesn't actually emit a lot of light like others; thus, its sharp edges can be seen. And the Darksaber is so hot that, like other lightsabers, it can cut through things even if the sharp edges don't touch.
I think a lot of people think of lightsabers as some kind of blowtorch, but if they were, then we wouldn't have people dueling with lightsabers because the lightsabers would've just gone through each other. So, lightsabers must have some kind of physical support, like a blade on a sword. How does that blade come out of nowhere? I don't know.
Basically, all lightsabers have edges like swords. But they're so bright that you cannot see them. And the sharp edges don't actually matter a lot because it's so hot that even the non-sharp sides (fuller) can cut things.
