You are such a joy to watch. You have no idea how you brighten this lonely ladies day. Blessings to you. Look forward to seeing your next video. Would love to be able to create as you do. Debra H.
+The1952trouble Debra, you are very sweet. You make want to run right out and make another video...oh wait, I did. I made a couple more already this week. Soon you'll be telling me to slow down hahahaha. Tami
Loved your tip on how to use the banner framelit and covering only part of it with the cutting pads to cut a rectangle shape - I never knew that! What a pretty card!
Thanks. I can be creative when I have to do math in my head ha ha. I just didn't want to have to figure out the measurements and knew there had to be another way. This was so easy, I'm sure I'll use it again in the future. Tami
+Kimberly Gabel Thanks so much for writing Kimberly!! You are super sweet to say that. I live to inspire, and I love when you get ideas flowing. Be sure to check out my blog for even more: www.stampwithtami.com I post ideas there daily. Tami
good to see crafters using scaps of paper, like the black matting layer. its crazy how many ppl waste so much paper. great video tammy thanks for sharing it
Thank you so much for this tutorial, I have learned a great deal from this one, not least about how to use a square punch to do the banner! I wish I had thought of it! I have been wondering how to do a banner as I don't have the dies as yet and cutting by hand with scissors never looks as neat. Now I have seen you do that, it is blindingly obvious! lol! Love ALL the techniques you have shown here! Thank you! xxx
+karen Perkins Wahoo!!!!! My job is complete! I've helped 1 person learn 1 new thing. That little trick really is a game changer in "banner making" lol. You'll find yourself making them all the time now. Tami
Hi. I am trying to figure out a way to make this look like you are on the outside looking in. The brick wall always makes me think the wall is outside but the window scene is outside. Any ideas??
Yrs, I did comment about that. I was going with snowflakes for my vellum choice, even if it was'realistically incorrect'. I just looked the snowflakes. But if you look at the original, it has a vellum design from the same pack that looked more like a sheer curtain. So if you're going for 'realism' chose one of those vellum designs. Tami
Tami, I just got the Sizzix Brick Wall but I have a cuddlebug. It will work, but it has to be fed sideways. I wish you had shown us exactly how you put your folder in your big shot, because I wanted to see if it was actually the same way as I put it in my cuddlbug. I really couldn't see how you put it in.
+LamborghiniGal if there's one thing I can help you with, it's how to run an impressions folder through the Big Shot lol. I only have 150 other videos of it hahaha.. Here's another video of the brick wall folder, with the steps: stampwithtami.com/blog/2015/09/fall-window/ tami
+stampwithtami.com - Crafting and Card Making from Tami White That's great! Thank you for the link. So, it appears that you put your folder in the same way I had to, in my Cuddlebug. That's good, because I was concerned since I couldn't run it in there with the bricks going side to side. I think they changed the platform size on the Cuddlebug. I think they've made them smaller. I have the newer one and it's a 6" platform. Thank you again for the help! :-)
Good suggestion. I did these cards both ways while creating, and the brick wall didn't flatten when I did it first. But sometimes toolsets do flatten, so as a rule that is a good order . Thanks. Tami

To keep from smashing your embossing, cut the window first, then run it through with the embossing folder. Hugs
