I am just getting into Junk Journaling and I am loving watching your tutorials. This is not the first one I have watched. They really are awesome. I have been nervous about starting, I guess I feel like these things have to be perfect, which logically I know is not the case. You have inspired me to start and stop worrying about being perfect. Your ideas are amazing.
I too was afraid to start creating journals. I had a lot of hit and misses but I continued to learn until I became afraid of NOT creating them so to speak lol. Well done to you for stepping out of your circle to doing something creative and fun. Have a blessed day. :)
I love how there are comments from 4 years ago, and 4 hours ago. Your videos continue to inspire people -- like me. Ive made many junk journals but thanks to you, I finally made my first 4 signature junk journal today following one of your tutorials after being too intimidated for years with so many pages and measurements. My son will now have a fishing inspired journal made with so much love and memories 💙 Thank you 🙏
Having watched this video 3times now , I think i am ready to start , I love the way you are so detailed in your tutorial,s and nice and slow . For us newbies thank you 😊
What a VERY IMPORTANT Video!!! Just “The Best!!” Especially for us who have Never Done this before!! Thank You SO MUCH for ALL the mi-nute details!! It Helps So Much!! & Thank You for not going So Fast!! “YOU” Are a…The “Treasure!!”💓💓💓🙌🥰🎁
when assembling the signatures, i added to the outside rather than flipping through each one to find the middle. mainly because i always ended up with something not caught! LOL!!! Either way, they are super fun to make. Thank you for sharing your wonderfully detailed notes.
OOOOOHhhhh!! Took me a little while to understand what you mean! That is a fabulous idea! I have to try doing that. Why haven't I already? For goodness sake!! Seems so much simpler!
was crusing around for some info about how to make your own wallpaper out of scraps and saw one of your videos; I clicked and thanks to you I want to make my own paper with my scrap and make a matching envelope. Hopefully it works, thank you for your wonderful tutorial.
I just recently learned about "the happy planner" and how you can really make planners, etc. your own. While watching videos on making planners, I kept hearing about different types of journals & planners (one being a junk journal) & I was intrigued. I found your videos & have learned so much! I can't wait till I can get into the dollar store & get supplies to start journaling! Thank you for your videos & for being so precise. You explain it in a way that I can follow. Thanks again!!😊💜
What a great tutorial well all of your videos are great I enjoy them so much specially your patience, ideas, colors, etc. I sure learn a lot in every tutorial & the best your personality and sure understand when you mention about owning a Crop a Dile one understands the cost of importing many things out of USA or overseas may cost. I have so many things I wish to purchase but have other priorities. Thank you so much for all you share🌸🌸🌸
Another beautiful tutorial Natasa but I can't believe how many adds they've added to your video! I realise they need to be there but it takes away from what you are doing. Keep up the great work 💚
OCD and Neurotic have found the perfect home, and I am captivated! I am now a huge fan and devour everything you post. Thank you for your relentless single minded pursuit of craft. I have learned so much
Natashia, Wow! Really love this journal with your creative ideas to encourage a novice, me, to try. This is the kind of journal I am sure I need. Thank you for sharing. Must watch your compilation and design. Blessings.
Thank you for always saying the best things for all the steps. You are amazing and a awesome teacher👏👏👏have enjoyed all your videos and the inspiration you give!!!!
I enjoyed watching the process very much, because of time and concentration I watched this video in in several sessions. I love, that I can go back to every step whenever I want and have a closer look. Speaking of closings: I absolutely love the closing! And I don't mind warping, honestly I like it, I think it adds to a Journal. But I'm a non perfectionist in creating Journals by myself *hahaha
I love your tutorials so much! Your voice is beautiful and calming, your steps are very easy and your demonstrating is easy to follow. Thank you so much for your talent.
I liked the idea of adding "Coloring Pages"...hadn't thought of that. toss in a small bag of colored pens or pencils in to your tote along with the journal, heading somewhere you know you'll be waiting. 😁
I’m sorry I haven’t watched u before I just found out about this stuff. I have just used my phone for reading books and games. Really glad I found this stuff I just love it !!! :-)
I’m so glad you told us about the Silent Setter! I also do so covet a Crocodile 😀 But my budget won’t allow it at the moment, especially with just starting up and all 😀
I am in the process of making one of these .. I started a month ago LOL and I am nearly done.. mine is a little chunkier but same concept :) gonna make more but leave them blank and make little Kits so they can decorate them how they like it :)
Wonderful tutorial! -- and such an elegant result!!! I so appreciate the list of steps you provide & your process explanations are thorough and easy to follow. I love the way you organized the signatures! "Higgledy-piggledy" is fun for a 'look book', but for my working journals, I prefer a more serene & orderly format which provides room for the user's own creativity. Your format is both practical & adaptable. BTW - I understand the frustration of not having the perfect tools at hand. I've found it helpful to keep a 'Journaling Journal' for notes & reviews on supplies and suppliers with pockets for receipts & packing slips. Off now to find the "Silent Setter" -- and to buy more of my favorite glue! lol
Than’ yo so much. I’m taking a photo of my granddaughter every monday for her first year. Plus some cute extras and this will make a great album for her. Not as a journal as such just a lovely album.
I haven't even watched your tutorial, but love the way you have set it up. So I've immediately subscribed to your channel. Perfect for someone like me!
Thank you, I rescued a wallpaper stash from the recycling and I am going to make a few of these, for Christmas gifts...Thank you for the instructions and all your helpful hints....
I'm embarking on this new craft and really appreciate your detailed tutorial and the reasoning behind the way you do things and yet allowing us to put our own take on it!
Thank you so much for sharing this. I made one after watching. I’m in the Uk and must mention that you really need to be sure to get a thick, heavy Wallpaper, or it will tear as you work with it. I’m just waiting for the right cord than I’m completely done :)
Hello Natasa, about 4-5 years back I went to stores looking for wallpaper books for projects. I have a few of them around. So happy I have found this video. Now I can make use of the wallpapers I have left and made more beautiful items for family and friends. Love all your videos if I haven't already said as much. I'm learning a lot from you & how to recycle tissue boxes and leftovers. Be safe & TYFS
You are awesome Natasha, thanks for your straight forward approach, and you are funny. Appreciate the tips on how to save money I have been needing a serrated ruler you just showed me how to make my own from our metal fencing, thanks heaps.
Natasha: Stumbled across your channel purely by accident yesterday and now I'm planning on making my first DIY journal! I really appreciate your written instructions as well as your easy to follow verbal and visual instructions. Your step-by-step method is logical and precise, which is also appreciated. Your templates for page sizes and binding holes looks so much better and more professional than some of the other channels I watched. Like you, I like my projects to come out as perfectly planned as possible. Thank you for your wonderful tutorial videos on how to make journal covers, inserts, envelopes, and a lot of embellishments. You now have a new subscriber! 📔
Hello! When you couldn't torn that scrapbook paper edge, you could give it a torn look by distressing the edge with scissors! Or a rugh nail file! 😉 Try that! 😘 Thanks for the tutorial! 😁🦋🌈🌺🐦🌄🐞🎶🌟
Thanks for the measurements it really helps. Sometimes people don’t give them and it’s difficult to guess what they are then everything ends up wonky. Thanks for these vids really good instruction.
Enjoyed this video in watercolor terms we call the torn or ripped edges decked look...sounds a bit upper classy...lol many art blessing to you today....
After see all your videos I can say I’m ready to start my first one. Thank you for share all your tips and and your knowledge. Love everything you do. I’m your biggest fan. Hugs and kisses from Mexico. 🥰🤩🙌🏻
Thank you so much for sharing this with us. Your ideas and descriptions were very easy to follow. I am now planning how I can start my own book now... 🌹🌺🌷
I just subscribed to your channel, l love how you added the lace to the lined paper. I have tons of wallpaper samples! Thank you for the wonderful tutorial.
This is a fantastic tutorial, thanks! I've been stopping and starting the video, and taking notes, as I have a go at each step. Yours is the first video where I've been able to follow along and actually create something and it's so exciting! I'm waiting for my covers to fully dry, but I've got my signatures ready to be embellished. Thankyou a million times for sharing your thorough, easy-to-follow instructions! 😊
Excellent tutorial ! I love these journals...easy to follow and such wonderful ideas :). I too have found the trusty utility knife to be my 'best friend'...I got so fed up dragging my guillotine out..much quicker and so simple..yay :). By the way...I bought a Crop-a dile...found punching the holes wasn't too hard, but sometimes the eyelets are hard to 'close' properly and I end up with the old fashioned hammer and Birch tool :)
Heheh Oh I love hearing horror stories about the Crop-a-dile (not that this is a horror story) and its only because I don't own one, so horror stories make me feel better :) Oh how I wish I knew about the utility knife earlier! Its a huge time saver, it works like a charm!! Thank you Susan for watching and commenting :)
This was absolutely amazing, Thank-you so much! Your instructions are so easy to follow for a rather complicated project. I did learn a couple of tips, but I've forgotten at the moment no matter, I'm going to watch the video again before I attempt one.😀 Cheers!
This is a really good tutorial. I have some wallpaper and I have been wondering how I'm going to make journals with it. I really like the flap and wrap around string with the beads. I also make patterns for my journals. it makes everything so much easier. Less measuring. :D
Thank you for your kind words!! I always notice nails when watching videos :) I can't help it. So I try to make mine presentable. Welcome to my channel, and thank you for being here!!
Thanks for this video, Natasa! I've already been through my wallpaper stash and selected and cut 8 covers. I'm looking forward to putting them together!
Hi Natasa, Hope you are well. 3300 people have watched your video!! Amazing! I am going to post it in the group. Great way to pick papers for the signatures rather than the tedious way (me) of doing it one at a time. LOL! xo Meg
Yaaay Meg, thank you so much!! The template is great, but it only works for smaller signatures... I have to come up with a solution with a larger number of pages in a signature...
This is very nice. I have some nice wall paper that i can use to make one or two of these aai like your closure too. The silent setter looks much easier to use and a lot less money than the crop a dial tools. It makes more sense to me too
