I was so happy to hear you say you did absolutely no housework while you were creating!!! At last, someone else who would prefer to play in the craft room! I'm sure my friends think I'm mad making "things" that don't actually have any useful purpose, but it gives me so much pleasure. Thanks for your wonderful videos, I find them so easy to follow.🙂🙂
I watched to the end - yes, I'm inspired - fyi, my motto is: God did not put us here to do housework. I'm on vacation away from my studio. But when i get back home I'm going to rewatch this video and make some stuff - because I am not a hoarder - I know where everything is - and It's all organized! thank you for another fab video! p.s. and read your book that came the day before I left on vacation!
Inspired... Inspired.. The perfect timing since I am rearranging and de cluttering before winter rolls in. How can I not be inspired with this EXPLOSION OF CREATIVITY!

I totally agree about upcycling books. Our local library has a warehouse where they take all the unwanted books that people donate to the library and/or books that need to be cleared off their shelves to make room for new ones coming in. Once a year the library has a huge book sale at the library and what's left goes to the warehouse. There are literally SHELVES upon SHELVES of gorgeous books of every size and genre that you can imagine in this warehouse. Since I am an Analog Collage Artist... well, I am like a kid in a candy shop... the books (no matter the size) are only $.25 each! So, other Artists & Creators might want to check that out in their local library. So, YES... we are salvaging them before they are burned or trashed. What a waste of TREES! All of your videos where you upcycle things is SO IMPORTANT! Less waste, free materials, and unlimited creative possibilities! I have a good imagination, but YOURS... well, is ASTOUNDING! Keep doing what you're doing because it's IMPORTANT on many levels! MUCH Love & RESPECT... Deborah
This had to be my most favorite episode! I am extremely guilty of loving the hunt of ephemera and discarded craft supplies at yard sales, estate sales, thrift stores etc. I love that you don't use printable ephemera! That is my goal! Then your creation is truly original! You must be exhausted since the explosion! Lol! Rest up, we need you back next week, Natasha!
You’re not a hoarder if it leaves your house to live someplace else!!! You are a “resourceful” person who gathers materials needed to make BEAUTIFUL hand-made creations to bring joy to those who will receive them! Thank you for the inspirations! 💝🧵💝✂️💝
"it is a thing!" 😊😊 I love how you don't worry about what use you could get out of the things you create! That is probably why you create such beautiful "things"! 🌼🌼🏵️🌼🏵️
"Nothing spectacular"? Darling, this statement of yours tells more about you than anything else. These ARE spectacular! To think you took scraps that anyone outside the junk journaling world would have sent to the landfill and made this explosion of beauty is just amazing. You have given me so many ideas. I don't think the Muse visited you - I think you ARE the Muse!
Love to see all the craziness becoming something, useful/not very /not at all😁 but beautiful 🌸and with not any other purpose but to inspire your imagination and inspire others too ,🥰Never ends, and this and this 😂😇 so sweet . I recently made that organizer made of a big paper bag for my hubby as a present 🎁 For him to store all of our valentines cards and messages through the years , also added some post notes and note pads and embellish it in the front with pieces of his favorite canned drinks and teas .I enjoyed making it and he as well using it . Thanks for helping us get inspired . Blessings 😊
Natasha you speak to me. I don’t use digitals either. I don’t have a printer and to get the digitals printed at a shop is not cost effective. You were my first journaling channel and I started journal making because of you. You made me look at objects in a whole new way. Adding my amen to this! You are by far my favorite inspiration! I have expanded so much watching your videos. I went on a cruise and took a bag of ephemeral tools and such and had a good time in the mornings having coffee and making things out of sales brochures and napkins and paper I found around the ship including bingo pages and things! Thank you Natasha for all your hard work and inspirations!!! Smiles ❤
"What is it? It's a thing!" ;-) So inspiring! And timely too: I was looking for something that would cheer me up and I saw your video. Thank you so much, I am ready to face the world again.
@@iamdawt I think we need to have that mindset more often when creating, at least I know I do. Not everything we make has to have a name like a “tag” or a “pocket.” And not everything has to serve a function or purpose. We create because we love what we do, it brings us joy & happiness, so why is so hard for us to just create something that serves the purpose of just “being”? You are fantastic in recycling, re purposing, giving old stuff new life ………. I can go on and on so NO you are NOT a hoarder . Thank you so much this is definitely my go to video from now on. 🥰
You have me pegged for the WHOLE Junk journal journey! My daughter gave me a junk journal kit 2 years ago. I have binged watched your tutorials and have gone CrAzY hitting thrift shops. I have always loved to find treasures before, but I see things in a whole new way! I see ALL these cool things and nab them up! Now I'm in the process of being overwhelmed and trying to come up with ways to organize them, so I can find what I'm looking for! I neglect my housework too. I just can't get motivated to do housework when I'm feeling sooooo creative with a million ideas in my head. I'm so glad I'm not alone 😊😊😊. ❤❤❤the video, great stuff 👍👍👍.
You are an inspiration! Yes please on the tutorial on your first journal, it's adorable, everything is adorable! I gotta clean and create! You're adorable you're not mad! Love it all!
I was surprised how many things of yours I have made! You taught me how to make journals and make them pretty. I thank you for the treasure trove of videos. Please don’t ever stop!
You’re a creative genius. I love how you explain and demonstrate your process. You’re brave enough to show your vulnerability and it’s what keeps us all coming back for more. I look forward to your inspirational videos.
OMG!!! Watching this video, I felt like a puppy let loose in a room full of treats! I am beyond inspired. I love the double envelope pages, the laminated pages and tags, and all of it. Your enthusiasm is contagious! And yes, housework must wait when the creative muse strikes! Thank you again!
I love your personality, journaling layouts, your instructions and this here is indeed a beautiful treasure explosion, Love it! Continue to inspire for you are an inspiration to us all :) ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ blessings:).
That is something really importante that people should understand more: making things like this, just because is fun, just because you like it, is incredibly important! I'm glad you did no housework while you where doing these beauties, 'coz sometimes, not always, but sometimes this is just more important. And they are beautiful! thank you for sharing!
Thank you ,thank you for not throwing all those parts and pieces away. You created with what you have and made the most beautiful one of a kind pieces. I am inspired!
I am definitely in the "collecting stuff" phase. I have a difficult time saying no to a beautiful gardening book, or especially vintage readers digest. Thanks for the inspiration today 🙏
Dear Hoarder, I adore your projects on this video, and your sense of humor 😁. I love the scrappy journals, the giant tag flip for writing notes, and sewing fabric to the edges of paper. I appreciate this inspirational video; I really needed it today. Be well. #thankyou 🖤
Your MADNESS!!!!!! is just awesome! The ending was just perfect, and YES!!!! I always get creativity and a huge smile when I watch you! You are just adorable! Thanks for sharing all your fun and you have a happy day!
It's so true about the buying stuff for crafting. You see the potential in EVERYTHING. But it get to the point where the stuff starts to stress us out. I still go thrifting but it has to be amazing, or a "too good to be true" bargain for me to buy it. Natasha, what a bounty you have created! I'm going to do a bunch of the predecorated book pages. That's a fantastic idea.
Someone called me a hoarder as though it was a bad thing! Der - it's my craft stash!! Sometimes we just have to "collect" things to get to that point where it's just enough to inspire our creativity. I love all of the 'things' and pockets and tags that your stash has inspired you to create ✨️
Natasa, you blew my mind last week, this week I’m speechless. I have never seen such a mind bending array of junk journal beauty and purpose all packed into one video. Yes, you are a huge inspiration. Housework totally goes out the window when I'm creating so definitely with you on that! I've spent 10 months 'collecting' supplies, I absolutely LOVE the hunt! Now it's time to make, make, make! It would be great to see you recreate your first journal:) You are such an amazing artist!!! Thank you! 😘
First I want to mention, that it is so recognisable. My kabinets are also very filled with usable junk. But your creations are endless and absolutely beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
So many fabulous ideas! I'm truly inspired! I really loved the old comic book papers, the whimsical houses, the vinyl journal (please do a tutorial), and the writing boards. This makes me want to clean my craft room, which looks like I'm a hoarder! 😜 I am also pleased to know someone else doesn't do housework when they're crafting...LOL
Not Joe, but Mary - thank you, thank you, thank you, Natasha, for using your own marvelous creativity, rather than purchasing the digitals, albeit beautiful, designed by other artists. The challenge to my creativity keeps me growing and I thank you for that.
Junk Journaling is new to me and YES I find myself constantly on the supply hunt, I have yet to MAKE anything. Your creative explosion has given me inspiration to put the thoughts I had while procuring to life!
Wow! I do love your "things". Glad you could find your kids to take care of them in the midst of your wonderful and inspiring explosion.🙂 Yay for no house work ! Thank you !
Please please please do a tutorial on that little wrap around journal. So lovely!! These are all such beautiful and creative ideas. Thank you so much for sharing. I love your humor, and find you to be somewhat refreshing. Please don’t ever change. ♥️
What an incredible inspiration! There's no way anyone could have watched this video and not get inspired! I love your creativity. Thank you for sharing your explosive energy... quite contagious I'll say. 💞 Happy journaling! 🫶
We inherited a wrappings box from my husbands mother, paper, ribbons, twine, etc. We have kept up with the box for 38 years. I knew all these scrap stuff & paraphernalia had a purpose. I think my daughter in law will take over the tradition. She seems enthusiastic about journaling. Thank you for sharing your gift!
Just love how you use everything you have and make it beautiful. You inspire me to think out of the box. You have a gifted imagination and your creativity has no limits. Love your commentary (you are fun and enjoyable to listen to) and seeing your explosion. Thank you for sharing. Have a nice weekend.
Your excitement is contagious, I absolutely adore your creations, every little piece is special because it wose made with love and by having fun. This is the best therapy, having fun creating something special and unique. You are a never-ending fountain of inspiration, you are one of my favorite junk journaler. I would love to see a tutorial on how you have created that journal, it is absolutely adorable 😍. Hugs and kisses from a Rumanien that lives in Germany.
You inspire everytime I watch one of your videos. I find a piece of fabric and then see a little off cut of lace and next thing you know, the sewing machine is happily helping make a fabric cluster. I bet you have no idea how many people you have inspired and brought a smile to their face! You are amazing and we thank you for what you do and who you are!!❤
Archie & Jughead comic books! I used to get them in the 60's. Really enjoyed this video. Thank you so much for all your inspiring and time consuming videos.♥
Hello Natasa 😊 Of course I watched to the end, I always do. You’ve created so many wonderful projects, truly inspiring ⭐️ and yes please, do make a tutorial of the journal.
LOVE your videos, Natasha! Your creative explosion looks like days of work but it is all so cool, beautiful, and does or doesn’t have a purpose! I was thinking about how much fun it is to just create and then I found YOU! You are wonderful and I love your passion! Keep creating! You provide a wealth of inspiration! Thank you!!! Much love, Julia ❤😊❤
I am not a journal maker or scrapbooker, but I make various greeting cards. So many of your ideas I couldn’t wait to try because I have a lot of things that are laying around and waiting to be used. I am so inspired and I thank you!
WOW! Natasa, you are amazing! You are so very creative, you blow my mind. 🤯 Yes, I think I am still in that stage where I am gathering materials more than I actually create. It is irresistible, it seems. Wish I had your energy and focus. Do you have a secret? You are always very inspiring. Just love you! 💖
Your channel is one of my favorites! I agree 100% with all you said throughout the video. I can truly relate to your comments 💜 you’re a truly remarkable maker! Always with fresh new ideas and comments. ☺️ always look forward to them cause you always inspire me. 🌹 I’m addicted to making these little houses, my fave
You are such an inspiration to everyone! I watched to the end and I’m very inspired by this. I haven’t found anyone that is using any cereal box bags to create or use when junk journaling. I’m sure there are a lot of creators out there that are awesome and I respect that I just haven’t found anyone that I can sit and watch and feel inspired like I feel when I watch you!! I absolutely love you and I’m so inspired by you, you make everything look so beautiful and so expensive but yet it’s explained so well and easy to make. Thank you so much for still creating beautiful things and sharing them with the world!!!
All your videos are so inspiring but this one tops them all. I was actually sitting at the PC when the video started and got up to get my iPad so I could take pictures of the individual pieces as you showed them. I am new to this particular hobby and have purchased so much, but only have made a handful of things. It was so refreshing hearing you say you went through the same thing. Thank you for your candor and thank you for your wonderful videos. Now, I'd better start creating!
Thank you for all of your inspiration, Natasha! I love your ideas & your philosophy! ‘Just stop, create & use what you have already!’ We all have everything we need to create! ❤️
This video should be a requirement to watch by anyone beginning or even thinking of beginning the craft of junk journals or any paper crafts. Also anyone from beginner to advanced. Very creative and inspirational as are all of your videos. Love your narratives as you show your handiwork. You are definitely a PRO!
I loved this video as always. So many great ideas that I’ll have to watch again and again! I love that you don’t use digitals. I don’t own a printer and I don’t drive so I save everything I can find. Shipping labels and other labels found on boxes, I tear the corrugated boxes into small pieces to make ephemera. I save canned food labels, cat food labels, receipts, found feathers, the stickers on jars, cream cheese boxes, dog bone boxes, Coca Cola boxes, anything that can be used for a journal cover. I’ve started cutting up the clothes I don’t wear to use for embellishments. The lace, zippers, back pockets, buttons and bling are a bonus! I jumped right into my first journal with no experience. It was for my daughter’s Doctoral Hooding Ceremony. I made a binder style journal by hand and covered it in crumpled paper bag to resemble leather after it was painted. It has three large signatures. The journal is approximately 12”x9” and 3” thick (the size was a mistake) lol…it’s full of memorabilia from her junior college years all the way through her doctoral studies and photos of her working in the MLB while in school. But, I never gave it to her. She kept telling people I was saving garbage and it annoyed her that I did. I almost quit crafting all together. I’m so glad I’ve found you and other crafters here. You make me feel comfortable and normal. I’m big on reducing waste and I’m always happy to find a way to use it. These boxes of scraps and papers are my treasures. I also gather acorns every morning, wash and bake them and then lacquer them. Then I string them like beads to hand from my journals. I’d love to see a tutorial on how to make your black journal. Thank you, Debbie
This was a fun video, I loved seeing all the things you have made and I have seen your tutorials on lots of them. I needed this video, I am getting ready to mass make 6 journals and this is full of inspiration to get me busy. I understand how hard it is to cut into a book, but if you don't at some point it will dry rot and get thrown into the trash by someone else. Thank you for sharing.
While watching most of this video, I started to realize I’ll never be able to create things as diverse and beautiful as you have because I don’t have a stockpile of miscellaneous things like you do. I started feeling sad because I REALLY love this style you’ve created and I’m so inspired by you without the tools/“bits and pieces”/collection of stuff to create with, like this. Then suddenly, near the end of the video, you explain your own process of taking initial time to collect all the things you would later create with and now I don’t feel so bad. When I’m back on my feet (been struggling with pain), I am going thrift store shopping!! Thank you! I LOVE your videos! Edit-Btw: you are NOT a hoarder because you actually USE what you have been saving!
Love your ideas as always, plus love the magazine with the little images, how handy. Your little journals could be an elaborate birthday card etc. How nice!
Yes! Collect, use half, go on to something new. Collect, use some, go to the next thing… After so many years of this I have more than I can ever use up! So I’ve started combining, what would you call them? No idea what. But my latest obsession is slow stitching. I can recreate sooo many of your great paper ideas in fabric and then of course mix fabric and paper!! And you can always make it into a book! A stitched, quilted, paper fabric metal beaded painted book with jewelry hanging from it! The madness is never ending! Thank goodness for fits of creative madness! It just feels so darn good! Loved your video!
Ive been working on similar projects this weekend. Great video Natasha. I love making ‘things’ honestly sometimes it really is the process of making the thing that has literally no use to anyone that’s the point and then sometimes I throw it in a box and it stays there until I declutter again then I might add to it. Make something else with it. The clutter just becomes stuck to each other lol until it’s sold or gifted 😂 love your videos I hope you’re having a happy weekend ❤
I was in a bit of a slump the last week or so. Then your video came out today. Wow! So many projects, I am overwhelmed by your creativity! I have been inspired once again by you. Thank you! Oh, and I'd love to see a tutorial on your journal from many years ago. It's gorgeous 😍 ❤️ 💕 💖
I just found this video but if you still see comments this much later, know that your creative explosion was totally inspiring!!! An amazing number of ideas and pretty "things"!! Makes me want to start collecting all the magazines, books, trims, papers, etc. to build a stash of items to start creating!!! I'm sure I have things around the house already and need to go on a treasure hunt here first. Thank you so much for sharing!!! 💕
I feel we have been in the same places creatively, I was a shopper and collector for so may years paper and products and thrift stores, especially lace and crochet for me and man do I love a great thrifted wedding gown to dismantle. None the less when the Pandemic hit as an older person I decided to just "hunker" down, become a recuse and play with my treasures which took up a considerable amount of my space. I too have the occasional Creativity Explosion, I could make 100's of journals and not run out of ephemera for the pages. I am so glad I have all my stash now.
Oh my goodness!! I am in inspiration overload!! You are incredible, Natasha. Thanks for sharing all of these ideas. It will definitely require watching again.😅❤
34:53 I figured out why I like your videos better than others. It is like I am sitting across from you in your workshop, and we are having a chat over tea. How cool is that??? Inspired!! I wish I could show you my project. A book with hard cover, embossed with tissue, painted. 3 signatures bound to the book spine, 2 more signatures tied into the spine with coffee dyed dried grass. Pockets and sewing and envelopes and belly bands and stamped and distressed coffee dyed pages and quoted cut from books and pictures and a necklace pendant with an old leather shoe lace to close and ...... Mind boggling!!!

Even if it's "trash" (bits 'n pieces), when you're done, it is all treasure! Just amazing creativity. Wow. A veritable Treasure Trove of goodies.
I love it! Consider me INSPIRED. Yes. Creating makes us happy…so worth the time.
Totally would love a tutorial of one of the first journals you ever made!!😍
Coming soon! Thank you
Someone called me a hoarder as though it was a bad thing! Der - it's my craft stash!! Sometimes we just have to "collect" things to get to that point where it's just enough to inspire our creativity. I love all of the 'things' and pockets and tags that your stash has inspired you to create ✨️
Yes, would love a tutorial on that cool looking journal and I love that washi tape!!
Your creative enthusiasm is contagious!!! Thank you!!!
Yes would love a tutorial on that journal it’s so cute
A crafting cavalcade! So many wonderful ideas! Thank you for all your creative inspiration!!
Hey Elena, I.m also an other Romanian living in Germany ❤ Love this WHIMSICAL THERAPY OF OUR NATASA, ESPECIALLY BY CREATING "THINGS"❣❣❣
You inspire everytime I watch one of your videos. I find a piece of fabric and then see a little off cut of lace and next thing you know, the sewing machine is happily helping make a fabric cluster.
I bet you have no idea how many people you have inspired and brought a smile to their face! You are amazing and we thank you for what you do and who you are!!❤
MUCH more important than housework! Making 'things' is an excellent way to spend time! Love your 'explosion' - very inspiring!
you don't horde because you MAKE very cool things and inspire us. Totally fun!!! I have tons if stuff too.
Archie & Jughead comic books! I used to get them in the 60's. Really enjoyed this video. Thank you so much for all your inspiring and time consuming videos.♥
❤And this!!! AND Fabulous!!! Do this annually please.... 😊
Yes please!! Tutorial on the little journal from 8 years ago!! Thank you for the great inspiration!
Natasha….you have changed my life! Your ideas and inspiring attitude are a pure joy!
As always you inspire us to create. Thank you Natasha.
I am not a journal maker or scrapbooker, but I make various greeting cards. So many of your ideas I couldn’t wait to try because I have a lot of things that are laying around and waiting to be used. I am so inspired and I thank you!
Very inspiring - I have lots of ideas jumping around in my head! But oh the housework! 🤣
Creative explosion for sure… I love it.
WOW! Natasa, you are amazing! You are so very creative, you blow my mind. 🤯
Yes, I think I am still in that stage where I am gathering materials more than I actually create. It is irresistible, it seems. Wish I had your energy and focus. Do you have a secret? You are always very inspiring. Just love you! 💖
I remember those stamp catalogues from decades ago they inspired me to get started in stamp crafting!
I would love a tutorial on the flower vinyl journal!!! Please
I think I will be watching this video over and over and over. So many ideas! Thank you!
Your channel is one of my favorites!
I agree 100% with all you said throughout the video. I can truly relate to your comments 💜 you’re a truly remarkable maker! Always with fresh new ideas and comments. ☺️ always look forward to them cause you always inspire me. 🌹
I’m addicted to making these little houses, my fave
Creating is always more important than housework! Thanks for the reminder!!! I love your videos!!!
Yes! Thank you!
What a fun explosion🎉🎉🎉
I would love to just explore your crafting space. So inspiring. I would love a tutorial on that older journal too! ❤️
Haha! No housework while making the video! Great ideas! Thank you!
Ha!! “Josie and the Pussycats” I loved that cartoon when I was a child
Watched this on Easter Sunday, it's like being a kid again and seeing what the Easter Bunny brought me. LOL 😊 Yes I'm inspired!
Aren’t all crafter’s glorious hoarders lol. We’re obsessed ❤
100% not a hoarder an absolute treasure is what you are. I absolutely watched to the very end and am going to go home and create :)
Absolutely inspired and I love your sense of humor. Thank you for your wonderful videos!
I am so inspired by this video! You are so fun to watch and craft with! Thanks for filming 😊
