Great job! Tires seen 😂. Looking good with the snow ⛄️. Goes to show what an individual can do with proper mind set! What car are you going to do next 😃
Thank you but I am spent. This process as you know drains you big time. Especially the paint was a killer. Going to enjoy her for a while and only if it makes sense will I think about maybe a body only restoration and flip. No full restorations.
@@68mustangrestoration34 I haven’t tried painting yet but you encouraged me. But I’ve been tapping and muddying drywall. Now painting and it gets discouraging again. Tiny flaws smack you in face when you add paint 😢 But easy to fix with drywall.
My only tip is even coverage. first I tried by holding gun close to panel and got streaks. Hold further away will waste some paint but ended up giving me the best finish especially with metallic.best of luck on the paint just take your time and you will be fine
Thank you and your English is fine. Good luck on your restoration. Only advice is to assemble as much as you can before paint as I missed a few things and had to drill fresh paint. That was scary
@@68mustangrestoration34 Already painted only need too buff the paint soon " 289 is completely done with edelbrock head new carb etc , Automatic to T5 with hydrolic clutch it s a nice project .The engine bay was mint no rust at all .
Looks fantastic great job you definitely have to drop by if you are ever cruising in my area. I can show you where I am at with my 67 fastback restomod.
would love to, we are not that far apart. BUT.... need the weather and roads to get much better. Next stop is certification and plates. Although we no longer have to pay for renewal sticker I am still getting historic plates to protect her from future government regulations ... I hope
Yes, it is the Sanden compressor and no it is not polished. But since it is aluminum it does have a good shine. Appreciate the comments and good luck on your restoration.
Loved your build very much!! Question for you, is there a reason to have only front disk brakes? I also just put in front disks on my 67 and the pedal is really spongy and soft so I’m thinking about doing the rear also.
Maybe check your rear shoes and adjust them closer to the drums. The further they are away the more your brake pedal has to travel. Lift rear and turn adjustment screw until wheel spin feels some resistance. Also make sure all air is out as my pedal is rock solid after half inch of travel. Is yours power or manual brakes as that makes a difference
I was really close to changing to 15 but in the beginning I said I wanted to keep the originality so i am going to try my brothers 225 70R 14s. If they look good I will keep the 14s. If they do not fit I will reconsider going with 15s. Thank you for the support
Really looking forward to seeing the "C" stripes on the car. Awesome job, thanks for taking us along.
Thank you. It will finish off the car

Is your air conditioner the Sanden unit? Also is it the regular finish or polished? I'm restoring a 68 Mustang as well. Yours is beautiful!
