a million years ago i walked up to lou before a sebadoh show and told him he had written the soundtrack of my life. the look of disappointment and mild disgust on his face as he turned and walked away has stuck with me for almost 20 years. cool video.

Sebadoh is still such an underrated, amazing band. Bubble and Scrape, Bakesale, Harmacy, all great albums.

My Dinosaur/Sebadoh fandom peaked way back when opportunities to hear 'underground' musicians speak were rare. It's cool to belatedly see such a thing, especially talking about other people's music. The idiosyncratic personal/regional history picks were fascinating. It's also time I dug out that Folk Implosion record!

Holy what? YOU are Lou Barlow? I pretty much worshiped you when I was young at college. Well, to be fair, you and a shitton of other musicians. I assumed, for no particular reason that you were dead. Legit "Smash Your Head on the Punk Rock" was the best thing ever.

Lou joined in at our 40 people chalet party jam at ATP festival a few weeks ago.. and rocked. Had Har Mar there too. Lou played a bass, took off one string, went under the table and rocked out for a few hours :)
