Daniel was just the best. I fell in love with his music and art at the age of 15.
It was like opening a door to a different world.

I can't stop listening to Dan lately - but he has been a constant these psat 10 years.
Daniel was and will always be a music legend. His songs were so pure. I was lucky enough to see him in providence and the show started with him solo and then when the band stuff started it just wasn't the same so we left.
I'm not a huge music aficionado but had heard of Daniel Johnston but never heard any songs. to heard Barlow say he's up there with lennon and mccartney was enough to motivate me to listen and wow.
Surprised how revered Daniel Johnston is!? Thats an Insulting comment on Daniels talent. Maybe try listening under the bed covers or with headphones on on the Subway at Midnight in a snowstorm.
It was a great interview as long as Lou was talking, whenever the host says something I almost wanted to close the video.

Gibby Haynes of the Butthole Surfers totally gave Daniel LSD though which was not smart.
Gibby is just in on it for the insanity ,hilarity of it. I gave Gibby Heroin too so ...someone always gives us these adorable substances. That is a weird comment lol .
