I don’t think any other channel I’ve seen has really taken the time to go over the types of grass and how to fish them, and what about bass biology affects their behavior regarding grass. Top tier fishing video

As 90% of the lakes near my home are heavily over grown with weeds and pad fields I have been searching for videos on how to fish such vegitation as effectively as I can especially from shore as I do not own a boat.
This was the only video I have seen of the dozens I watched that explained what different types of grass/weeds are in lakes how to correctly identify them and how best to fish them.
You are to be commended on producing the absolute best most informative video on how to fish grass to maximize your chances to catch bass I have ever seen and I've watched more than I can recall.
Why I enjoy your videos so much and purposely seek them out is your videos are always 80% or more helpful information and little time trying to sell things. You are a true educator of how to become a better more successful fisherman
Please keep putting out as good of content on fishing as there is out there.

Great video. I fish up at Goose Pond on lake guntersville and eel grass is out of control. Buzz baits at night catch alot more grass than fish. I use mostly scum frogs to negate picking off my lures. Back in the 80s it was hydrilla that was talked about mostly. But all in all grass equals bass so we just have to adapt. Thanks again for the informative video. We'll done for sure.

Tyler- Gotta say dude, I've been fishing most of my life, and this video is one for the archives! I've never seen a more organized, comprehensive and well presented seminar on grass types, regional prevalence, bass positioning, etc. It's all the things we collect over time being out on the water, but you filled in so much more info than "hands on". Thanx from all of us who might have been as impressed with this presentation as I was!

My friend and I were fishing a creek in NW PA. We came to an area about 3 ft. deep and I could see eelgrass (I think) and a channel running through it. I saw a bass laying on the edge of the channel and I had my friend cast passed it. He was using a perch colored Rapala and I was able to watch him reel it and guide his cadence. It was an awesome sight to see when the bass came out of the grass and hit his lure. He landed it and it was around 2lbs. Thanks for making this video it was very informative

Buddy.... This is one of the most informative breakdowns in the RUclips bass community. I've been studying bass fishing for just over a year now.. religiously.. I'm talking over a thousand hours easily.. And this is hands down one of the fullest breakdowns I've found. It's better than anything Bass U has on grass, and without the sales pitch. This would have saved me hours when I was first getting started. Unreal job, man. For real.

very helpful video. Thank you so much for putting the time into this. I just subbed and definitely looking forward to part 2 because I Kayak fish a lot of smaller lakes in central Florida where we we have a lot of spatterdock lily for example and it's been a challenge to fish that for me but I know they're up under it.
One thing that would be really helpful (to me) is to show some real world examples of how to get the various lures into these vegetations and avoid getting a hook full of junk. You mention a squarebill for grass. I can see a nightmare throwing that into hydrilla for example.

Phenomenal information! I fish Santee Cooper and it’s full of grass and cypress trees. We have a canal that runs off the Lake Moultrie dam and into Cooper River. Cooper River is full of hydrilla with lots of rice fields. Nutrients flow from Santee Cooper and keep Cooper River healthy. With all the hydrilla, the place is loaded with dunks. Decades ago, I had the opportunity for double digits in Cooper River. Today, it’s a struggle to locate any giants. I’m trying to learn different big fish techniques and a better understanding of hydrilla. I don’t know if the giants are gone or hiding under the massive hydrilla mats. Keep the info coming!
