So a while ago in the pizza tower speedrun discord I saw a few funny kaizo cyop rooms, and this got me really invested in the idea of a celeste-esque pizza tower kaizo level.
This thought eventually led me to make the B-Side levels utilizing some speedrun tech I've learned to make some levels, but I really wasn't satisfied.
Not unsatisfied that I think the b-side levels are bad, no, I'm pretty proud of them. But that the b-side levels really aren't that hard and didn't really represent true kaizo or difficult celeste levels.
I also made a few funny short but super difficult rooms in CYOP that I made but never intended them to be a full level. Up until I just decided that I want to make a full kaizo level.
I started off with a crust cove like level utilizing conveyer boosting but kinda scrapped that, I then decided to make a shotgun tech level, which then led to the creation of this.
And yeah... this is definitely the hardest level to my knowledge, I highly doubt anyone else is gonna beat this, but if you do, please send a video, I will be thoroughly impressed. (Make sure to use the SRC hotfix mod)

Also room 6/final room is laggy because of how big it is so hopefully when mitchell optimizes tiles in src hotfix it won't be as laggy

sidenote for people saying "now p rank it" this level has no combo start, secrets, lap 2, nor would there be any way to implement those in with good design

Secrets: have it in the starting areas, doing rooms roughly like these (bonus points if it has a mini tutorial in it)
Lap 2: implement it like the john pillar
Enemy: have the bomb goblin be the one enemy and scatter toppin collectibles throughout.

Secrets: What's the point in adding these if you just give them to the player for free. Unless I'm misinterpreting the first point, either way if I wanted to expand my map I would add secrets as extra optional challenges, however, I do not wish for the map to be bigger than it already is (I intend for it to be short) and on the other end if I just give the player 3 secrets for free that defeats the purpose imo.
Lap 2: Again, just giving the player free lap 2 just kinda defeats the purpose. It also just feels kinda jank. And having lap 2 function as normal would be an even far worse idea.
Enemy: The combo has to be started in the first room, and the combo cannot come from something that comes from a baddie spawner. I could start the combo in the first room then have a baddie spawner on top of an outlet every room to keep combo, but this is a horrible idea due to the screenshake. There's also other ideas I have but I feel they just worsen the quality of the map as a whole. I could also use the combo as an actual challenge by adding non-renewable points but then you have awkward stuff like room 4 (and possibly 6 somewhat) being trivial because of the pizza cutouts refreshing combo.
At the end of the day the "P-rank" is just a visual thing anyways in this context, I think the treasure being used for S-rank is good enough. I just see absolutely no point to making a level P-rankable considering this level has nothing to do with traditional level design. Why go through effort to make the level P-rankable just because it'd be "cool" when I could just.... not.... considering the P-rank really wouldn't carry much meaning anyways.
Despite having a couple hundred hours in this game, I doubt I could even do one section of this. Pizza Tower speedrunners terrify me. (in a good way)

Yeah, this map is like Cotton Alley Remastered (fan-chapter) from Super Meat Boy, it took me (400 hours in SMB) about 1 hour to finish only 7-1

to be fair not only did I make the map and playtest it a bunch I also beat it a couple times beforehand, clearing it the first time is always hard but the more you play something the more consistent you get at it which allows me to breeze through it for the recording
