honestly i appreciate this approach for playable characters more, make them more unique and make the player think how they can approach each stage. with noise focusing on his unmatched vertical mobility and vigi on his versatile kit and unmatched firepower
Peppino is a perfect base for each character ti build off of for basic gameplay being able to morph just about everything into anything making them amazingly soffent characters to play as and Peppino being the perfect all rounder character as he can do everything and while not perfectly he can still do everything
As far as I can tell, Vigi is the “flying” character. Peppino is all around fast Pepperman is bouncy Vigi uses his weapons to fly and dash Noise is like Vigi, but he’s a lot more vertical with his drill move
this popped up in my recommendations out of nowhere and i wasn't sure what to expect but this definitely blew me away. the amount effort and love put into this is astounding, and all of it feels like it fits right in with the vanilla game which is extremely impressive. whenever this is available i'd love to try it
Something I like is how his moveset is like Noise’s in how it’s designed for the levels. It’s designed to be similar enough to Peppino’s that it can effectively play every level, but different enough to where it‘a a different experience when playing.

I freaking love how smooth he looks to play while being technical. Official Noise is chaos and that's in character, but I never expected vigi to look like he got perfectly in the levels while still having a moveset you would expect. I especially like how you stop to shoot enemies while still moving forward quickly. That just fits so well.

I've never realy vibed witrh playable Vigilante, like I liked his animations and stuff, but the gun and dynamite always seemed like they'd be cumbersome to use, but I love the additions this take on him has, this is a version of him I actually want to play
At this point I don't even care about an official playable vigi because it will never be any better than this moveset, I stand by saying this is THE best vigilante moveset out of any mod that would ever exist for Pizza Tower. This has been my first mod I've ever come across on all of Pizza Tower modding and I'm really glad to see how much it progressed even after having you know what happen (the L-word is banned on discord) which is how I found out about it (and how I managed to play it) RIP Death that I Deservioli as the rightful Vigi lap 2 theme (it was originally his theme), I wish we could've kept it somehow 😔 And even if the normal superjump is gone, Vigi still manages to keep some mobility, which I love. Wonder if both versions of superjump (normal Peppino-like but slower AND faster dynamite superjump) could coexist somehow
I like the idea that the Vigilante has no transformations, it’s a unique gimmick in terms of separating him from other playable characters, plus given how crazy the transformations get, not doing them fits his serious no-nonsense demeanor. In fact, I recall that originally the Vigilante didn’t have any taunt poses, just one where he glared at the player as if to say “I’m not doin’ any of that stupid crap”. Still, I do like the taunt poses you added for him here. I also like the idea that Farmer John E. Cheese and Mort are the Vigilante’s supporters the same wait Gustavo (and Brick) and Mr. Stick were for Peppino and Noisette and Noisey were for the Noise!
While Vigi does have new taunts that are a bit more flashy than his no nonsense taunts, his breakdance replacement is a bit more in character lol. He just does the stare at the camera like in his boss when you don't pick up the gun.
This is our goal with the mod, to make them feel as legitimate as we can, like as if they were officially added into the game, and have them as the definitive versions of the characters.

I love how at times this iteration of Vigert just has "stop and go" type action with the dynamite throws, it just seems straight up fun and i adore the effort put into making this iteration as awesome as the word awesome can go ദ്ദി≧▽≦)
This has some things I kind of hoped the Noise update would have, like changing the collectable pizza toppings to something the character would be more interested in collecting (the Noise used to collect Sweets in early Pizza Tower builds, but in the Noise update, he just collected the normal Pizza toppings, despite supposedly hating Pizza). Regardless of that, though, this looks really cool, and given that McPig axed playable Vigilante, it's cool to see fans take up the concept and try to make it work.
The team did a stellar job. Vigilante's sprites are fit for the official game and the soundtracks are fire🔥 Also, in the escape sequence the rooms start to shift and sway (i thought i was tripping ngl). I think due to his grandfather appearing while escaping makes vigilante mentally unstable which causes the environment to be unstable too (or it may be just stress idk). In short, this mod is undoubtedly a chef's kiss
Man now I want to play as the Vigilante so badly Hopefully he will become an official character in the future because he just fits right in, McPig please take notes
If Pepino is the well-rounded speedy character and Noise is the technical wildcard/greased weasel with his quirky movement, this rendition of Vigilante feels like it fits a "control" niche. His movement is a lot less slippery but instead feels more methodical and predictable, whilst still keeping the flow going. Nice work!

Everything just looks and sounds official! I didn't expect him to be so... finished? I guess that's the right word Also this isn't related to Vigi himself, but I really like the stage tilting effect during Pizza Time, McPig should add it to the real game (with an option to turn it off if you so desire), I always love me a good Metroid reference. I really like the stage backgrounds in the TV screen as well, it adds some spice (pun not intended) to it, I'd love if that was also in the game, now that I look at the TV Screen from the vanilla game it looks a little bland now

If so then that would sick. also its for the better that you used a custom song then the original Vigilante song since that sounds like a bad ending theme for the ending sequence.
I don't know if this happens in the original game, but I loved the screen moving when the escape time started, it reminds me of super metroid. And besides, from what I saw in this video, the vigilante seems to be a very OP character, but it also seems to be difficult to learn how to play, but once you get the hang of it, no one will stop you lol. ok this is awesome and super accurate to the character but why is his john gutter theme not a few toppings more it fits so much better because his whole thing is justice and heroism instead there's a cowboy hip hop track? it's not like an entrance theme being more slow to start doesn't make sense, unearthly blues is very weird and slow at the start... noise's entrance theme is a hip hop track because he's the noise and is just the kind of carefree bastard to do that sort of thing also that screen tilt effect during the escape is awesome and the lap 2 theme is very good, it could be a little more western-hero-y but as it is it's pretty good i think it would make sense for the pizzascape title card to have him as a knight ready to fight and ancient cheese's title card to show him as like, indiana jones raiding the temple, and bloodsauce's title card showing him breaking from prison with freshly-broken handcuffs on basically, when making the title cards, the theme would be "what does a vengeful hero look like in this setting"

you should make it so that the vigilante cant kill some enemies because of the whole justice thing he goes for. but also extend his combo meter as well so compensate. for example he wouldnt be able to harm the cheese slimes but would be able to harm the gangsters in pig city
Considering what the noise update did to change the noise boss fight when playing the same character, how about also re-skinning the vigilante boss fight against a rival called "The Sherriff"?
OMG! What a masterpiece is that one! So unique and very very original! Vigi has new, brand moveset along with new toppins, new P rank, new OST and so on? Man, that's gonna be the best mod ever! I can't wait to see what you will gonna do and with other bosses too. (Btw, will this mod include and Fake Peppino?) Also, I love that during his escape, his Ghost Grandpa is there to show Vigi the way out (So touching really!) And I love alot and Vigi's lap 2 theme so much (I can't wait you to upload it in RUclips soon)! Suggestion: for fun farm, vigilante should start the level putting mort in his hat for the mort platforming like noise drinking gasoline. Suggestion 2: the western district boss should be snotty in a hat. Suggestion 3: when the noise fight reaches its conclusion and noise whips out his minigun the vigilante would just shoot him.

for that you can have the three good pt mods. round 2, Full course and Chef's kiss and then you have the best of each world
We are currently working on Pepperman and all the others, they will have distinct movesets rivaling Vigi seen in the footage, if not even more unique.

The sway and shift is just the panic effect in pizza time. It was used back in the SAGE demo iirc.

I think for a few toppins more is a better entrance theme for vigilante, also, cheesed up should learn from you
you should make it so that the vigilante cant kill some enemies because of the whole justice thing he goes for. but also extend his combo meter as well so compensate. for example he wouldnt be able to harm the cheese slimes but would be able to harm the gangsters in pig city

Vigilante needed to added in game
Considering what the noise update did to change the noise boss fight when playing the same character, how about also re-skinning the vigilante boss fight against a rival called "The Sherriff"?
I've planned boss replacements since the start of last year, they will be unique sprited characters, even Noise gets a new one.

Suggestion: for fun farm, vigilante should start the level putting mort in his hat for the mort platforming like noise drinking gasoline.
Suggestion 2: the western district boss should be snotty in a hat.
Suggestion 3: when the noise fight reaches its conclusion and noise whips out his minigun the vigilante would just shoot him.
