  • WHAT RADIATOR FAN RESISTOR IS. WHAT IT DOES AND SYMPTOMS OF A BAD RADIATOR FAN RESISTOR
If you are trying to figure out what radiator fan resistor is, how a radiator fan resistor works and what the symptoms are of a bad radiator fan resistor we will explain this in the video. Radiator fan resistor is very important part of the cooling system of your car and you need to make sure that it performs right otherwise you may experience problems with the cooling system and car overheating. This radiator fan resistor in on Dodge but most makes will use that design.

Thanka for this video injabe a 2015 chrysler 300s 3.6 and i had no low speed only high. After seeing your video went to the junkyard and grabbed a resistor off a 2011 300. Put it in about an hour ago and now i have my low speed fan back and my car no longer only uses the high speed van to cool the car at 110 degrees. Now it stays nice and level aro8nd 98 to 100 degrees at idle. High speed fan doesnt even come on now. Thanks for your help!🎉

So for example - if the car gets to like 91 degrees the fan or fans should turn on, But instead of that 91 degrees it turns on at like 93 or 94? Would that be a symptom of failing??

The one I was buying was From Auto Zone. I believe it was a Denso Brand. Wel the last time I replaced it they made a big deal cause I kept going and I told them it was their fan resistors.
So I got my money back and bought one from Rock Auto. I bought the cheapest one just to test it out and to keep the fan housing since I threw out my old one. Well this cheap fan(cause the resistor comes with the fan already) has lasted me more then the one from auto zone. The bad thing about it is that it shakes when it turns on Low/ medium speed. What I am going to do now is buy a AC Delco one. Bad thing is that it comes with just the fan so You Will need a housing. Dont throw away your old housing. I am hoping that one works flawlessly. These cars suck. Even when I got it off the lot the ax couldn’t keep up with this Texas Heat while parked idling. Best of luck.

How does it work? You explained its part of the system but didn't say anything about its function? How can a fixed resitor value make changes? Poor camera work. Talking fast with thick accent. Couldn't get anything helpful from this video.
