For mine, I have quartz counters, I took a 1/4” tile bit and made a hole half the depth of the counter thickness, super glued some dowel rods in there, cut it flush to the underside of the counter and then screwed into those. Been a year and it hasn’t moved!
You can also put the dishwasher brackets on the side and just side mount it. Been installing for a couple of years and not once have I used one of those horrid looking brackets, plus next time center your dishwasher, looked like gap on the right is slightly larger then left gap. Not a big deal here, but If you do a panel ready dw it’ll matter.
Some dishwashers don’t need that bracket. Open the door and look to the left and right along the seal. You will see plugs that pop out or just holes. The screws are out side of the seal so they don’t get wet. They attach to the cabinet face frame so pre drill.
Would you kindly offer recommendations for a do it yourself women’s tool kit. What do I need for nail pops, small cracks, bath tub re-caulking, leaky faucet handle, broken 4 pin pot light. Thank you for helping me keep up, but I keep buying possibly unnecessary and expensive tools.
5/8” Plywood is used on top of the cabinets before the quartz, granite, marble, etc. Use 1/2” screws with that bracket and screw it up into the plywood.
I worked for a ge dealer and can confirm that’s this is right 1 hole for a power wire and water feed line and one upper hole for proper drainage that drain pump will fail under a year 1000% of the time
@@user-be4up1ux1ffunny how the people who work for the company don’t know anything about install. These have enough drain line to run a high loop entirely underneath the sink done hundreds.
@@TheDippnbros so what your saying is you have messed up hundreds of install my guy just read the manual I know there is plenty of drain line but just because you can doesn’t mean you should
Dishwashers are a joke. Any process engineer worth their salt will tell you handling things is major waste. Never mind the bending over. The dishwasher should be built into a cabinet so it doesn't need to be taken out again and moved. If you're going to pick it up, knock the food off and rinse it. Just wash it too, it's a scam.
Pretty short screw placed in the mounting bracket, let's hope the mounting bracket doesn't disconnect after multiple movement of the dishwasher's door opening and shutting.
Dude, you are a Beast. Most plumbers hate The sight of a dishwasher. 😂
Did granite for 4 years. Use the screws that come with the dishwasher bracket. Yes they are small. But they are mighty.

Lowe’s also has adhesive brackets so you don’t have to screw into as much
You need to show him how to hook up the water line and electrical on the dishwasher

Do you screw the mounting bracket to the granite? And how ?

U DW drainage installed not 💯% correct,
There should be another hole up in the cabinet for drainage (so water go from up down to drain)

I was also thinking the same thing. I wonder how secure the screw fits into the cheese grater part.
