This is the result of Japan's dedication to music education from Kindergarten to High School.
So many young and talented musicians come out from Japan.

Glad you checked these guys out. They are definitely an Instrumental band. At the time of this recording Hal Ca (guitar) and Miyu (Bass) were about 15-16, Mio (drums) was 18. Just sayin' - the sky's the limit for these young'uns. BTW, Miyu is playing a custom 7-string ESP base, made especially for him, and not available in ESP's catalogue. I totally get you Bro (of course that's partly because I'm old enough to be your dad, and you remind me of one of my sons🙂).

Good reaction! This video is from 2018 when Haruka (guitar) and Miyu (bass) were both 15. There is a live version of this song that is really epic and great audience response ruclips.net/video/buQPvINJcA0/видео.html They are way better now and especially with their most recent material from their album Guernica which is more on the prog side. Her influences include Akira from Loudness, Steve Vai, EVH, Yngwie Malmsteen, Buckethead amongst others. Not sure if she knows Jeff Loomis or Metal Church though but yes you can hear a little Jeff in there for sure. I recommend the song "Gunfire" live in studio ruclips.net/video/n6OZRHApn3U/видео.html

You got to another band that I was thrilled to discover a couple of years ago. For as young as they are (I think the guitarist, Hal-Ca, is still a teenager), they have been playing together since 2014. I also believe the bassist and drummer are brothers, the drummer being the older brother. My introduction to them was their video of a small club live performance for the song Blaze. I was instantly hooked on this band. They were in the US in 2019 and I am hoping they make a return next year.

The new songs (2022) are going to be for a Anime Tribute album where they are taking well known theme songs and reworking them to a new level in their style. As for Hal-Ca singing, I think it is more of the management idea and you can tell they have been working with instructors over the last few years. They are testing that out live. This is common in Japanese music industry as they push "Artist Development".

Thanks for checking out Asterism. They are from Fukuoka, Japan. They consist of:
    Haruka Noma, guitars (“HAL-CA”)
    Miyu Yoshinaka, bass
    Mio Yoshinaka, drums
They were formed in 2014 when Noma was 11 and the brothers were 12 and 14 respectively. They were all playing at a talent fair for young musicians in their hometown, when one of the music scouts noticed them, had a hunch and suggested they play together. Most of their current youtube catalogue is fan-made live video footage, much of it at the Hard Rock Café in Fukuoka. There are also a few clips from their one tour in the U.S., when they played Austin and Los Angeles. From the start, they have written most of their own music, covering a wide range of styles.
The brothers bring a lot of jazz and funk ideas into their playing. Miyu plays 4,5 and 7-string basses, which are co-lead instruments in his hands. They are all phenomenal talents, but the big draw has been Noma, known by her first name Haruka or by her stage name Hal-Ca. She has been likened to a reincarnation of Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan, with bits of Joe Satriani, Nuno Bettencourt and Akira Takasaki, among others, thrown in. Even in the Japanese scene, with its overload of extraordinarily technical instrumentalists, she stands out. She also writes most of the band’s music.
You picked a good one to start with. More:

Fantastic that you got to this! I’d just assumed that request was lost in the stack! It blows my mind she’d got her first guitar only 5 1/2 years before this video was made. To be in your mid teens and have this level of skill and performance and composing music that’s truly transformative leaves me awestruck. Thanks again for bringing Asterism’s “Dawn” to the forefront of your channel! And yah, I’ve heard plenty of people say how they hear various other greats in her playing. Personally, I was shocked to hear shades of Eric Johnson in some of her chords and fret runs. 🤯💪🏻🤘🏻

It is truly amazing that this "Dawn" was composed, arranged it as one song, and was able to perform it by a junior high school students of Japan who were only 14 or 15 years old. Everyone notices that they have advanced playing skills at a young age, but what really should be appreciated the most is that they have acquired compositional skills, including the ability to arrange music, at this age. It's amazing that not only HAL-CA, but all three of them have the ability to compose in three different ways, and they can arranging and playing songs at the age of only teenagers.
The variety of songs they compose is wide-ranging, and to us it is as diverse as if we were looking at over the 70-years history of Western music. It covers all elements of the UK, US, European and Japan music of the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s, and is integrated and played with the sensibilities of today's teenagers.
How could they have done this in such a short period of time?
Perhaps it all started when the three of them grew up in an environment where their parents liked Western music and listened to songs at home as a hobby, and their parents gave children musical instruments to try out.
The period when they learned the instrument was probably linked to the brain growth process in the growth period from child to adult. I guess the adults around them were stunned, because they absorbed and grew at an incredible rate.
However, it will be unclear whether their songwriting ability came out with because they were growing children, or whether they originally had genius songwriting ability, unless we look at them in the future.

Unfortunately, the current Japan music industry does not have an environment that genius talents like them into stars. The general public doesn't like to listen to this kind of music.
If we leave them in Japan like this environment, their talent will only be crushed in minor scenes without ever seeing the light of day in the major scenes. I think "Amuse" is out of hand. They should leave early.
They should move quickly to their native field, the Western music market, to meet producers and capitalists who find and interest their talent and abilities. The current Japan music industry will not be able to take advantage of their abilities

You are too ignorant of the current state of the music industry in Japan. Unfortunately, there are no producers and no environment that can nurture these born geniuses into popular stars.
As proof of this, they made their professional debut in 2018, and after more than five years they still remain so unknown in Japan that they are still stuck in a live music club with a capacity of around 100 people.
This is due to the fact that the Japanese music industry has no producers who appreciate this type of talent as a sellable commodity value.
In addition, many of the same younger generation in Japan today no longer listen to performance-oriented music, especially rock and metal.
In order to overcome this situation, they too have been converted from performance-oriented song structures to song-based music since last year.
There are pros and cons, but I don't think this change to a song-oriented approach is a choice that makes the most of their true strengths.
But I guess that is the reality of today's Japan.
Of course, there were many tasteful producers in the Japanese music industry in the past. But many of them have already retired from the forefront or have already passed away due to age.
Japan is not what it used to be. I hope my prediction will come true and ASTERISM will one day rise to stardom.

I love their skills and the music quite a bit. She is probably the best female guitar player I have ever seen. The only problem is without a vocalist in the band their songs are missing an element. I could only listen to one or two songs in a row before getting bored without any vocals. It starts to sound like a long drawn out guitar solo then. But you are correct, the bass player and guitarist are among the best ever.
