- Today I'm going to be taking a look at the Motorola G Play 2024, possibly the first time ever when a G Play device is worth a look.

Snapdragon 680 not 665
6nm too 🙏💯
Whoops, thanks for the correction!
I got this phone 11-29-24. & It upgraded to Android 14 the next morning. The sound is terrific and when I'm in my bedroom which is basically a drop zone for signals, this one continues with business.
In my opinion that no one asked for
It runs with the big dogs and can hold its own too.
Why would it not be worth a look? Do you only review phones for those with tons of money? ie. rich people? This (and the last 3 models I've owned) have been fantastic for me, and at an absolutely UNBEATABLE PRICE. For the price, you get A LOT MORE THAN YOU DESERVE. This phone is fantastic, I have the 2019, the 2021, and the 2022. I only got the 2022 because I dropped the 2021... Or I would've waited another year. $100-$150 per 2 years is phenomenal... Best budget phone in existence. Stop talking trash about budget phones. It's just plain ignorant.
100% agreed
i own the '23 and love it
Bro... was thinking the same thing
To be honest, I'm basing this review more on the experience of others I know who have owned these phones, not myself, so in that sense I agree there are probably some things I don't know about them. That being said, everyone I know who has owned a Moto G Play device prior to the 2024 model have been extremely disappointed with the usability, reliability, and durability of these phones. Usually they end up paying a little more to get something like a Google Pixel A series device (especially preowned or refurbished) and that seems to work much better, and those cost only slightly more than a Moto G.
Wait so you made a review without actually reviewing the phone? Thats kinda crummy@techshowyt
This phone out performs my samsung a15 for a little less money. This moto has way less issues than my Samsung a15 has so I'm glad I got the moto to replace it
Yep, I don't even bother with the Samsung A line. They're way overpriced for what you get
I ALWAYS HEAR SO MANY PEOPLE CRITICISMS ON MOTOROLA PHONES. WHAT I LOVE ABOUT SOME OF MOTOROLA PHONES THEY ACTUALLY HAVE "STEREO SPEAKERS SOUND" I DON'T THINK IF ANYONE PAYS UP TO $1,000 PLUS FOR AN IPHONE OR A SAMSUNG GALAXY YOU WILL GET STEREO SOUND IN ANY OF THEM. IF I'M INCORRECT SOMEONE KINDLY CORRECT ME. I'M GOING TO BE A MOTOROLA MAN UNTIL I DIE!
I got this phone a few months ago and use it as a second phone for work/business. It works great and for the price it's super affordable. I got mine through simple mobile on a prepaid plan.
Seems like a good phone, also the camera really isn’t that bad to me. My phone broke, so this seems like the perfect replacement.
People are paying 1000 for a samsung or iphone
And just because this phone is unexpensive they say its bad lol 😂
Im getting that phone tomorrow and I was wanting to know more about the phone. I watched this video and it was very helpful!
Yea i don't know for a person that cant afford a phone that cost as much as a new car moto g play phone is the best phone I've ever had but then again i dont fly in a personal jet so.
I’m pretty sure the Dolby Atmos stuff is related to supporting surround-sound / Spatial Audio in media that is designed for it.
I thought maybe that was the case too. But I tried several streaming/music services that have Dolby Atmos content, and it all sounded the same to me, I still preferred the sound out of my other devices.
I know It's kind of nitpicky but It doesn't seem like a great feature if it doesn't benefit the average user.
watching on my 2024 g play and you got it 100%. I'm not a heavy camera user and the atmos dolby is only a volume booster, but i't awesome for the price. plus it updated to android 14 (i don't think it'll get any more).
it's just that flash that i find really funny 😂. i recommend it for someone that just wants it for basic stuff. and the virtual ram is better off not being used. in the long run, virtual memory will ruin the internal memory and there is really no difference in performance, especially if you're doing basic stuff. just make sure you close apps you aren't using to get the most out of the available ram.
great review 👍
I agree, this phone is a great comeback for Motorola and I'm excited to see if they continue to drastically improve the G Play line.
Thanks so much for watching and dropping a comment!
This phone is awesome.
@riikerman it does everything I wanted to do and it doesn't very well.
How is the battery life on the motorola play 2024?
@Ksense644 Epic. Two days +
Not a terrible phone tbh
Do you think Roblox would play on this phone at least somewhat decently?
Its play smoothly its basically a iPhone trust me
I have just recently bought this Phone and have not tried the apps. That is why i am using youtube to learn about it. The first thing I noticed with this one is that it wastes battery charge by being activated too easily with almost any touch or motion.
Does this support tap pay just asking cause I just bought one today if it doesn't that okay too
Moto are good phone been getting them since the early 2000s. And they last longer than LG Samsung and others.
I still have my samsung a145g and i love it😊
awesome video
It's at $109.99 on Amazon US (Dec 26). Seems great for elderly relatives and light phone users.
Just saw it for $40 on Walmart hence why I’m here for the review lol
@@diesel961 Is it locked to a carrier? The Amazon one is unlocked.
@@da009999the one I’m looking at is locked to straight talk. If I wanted it simply for a single game that was only available on Android. Would that do anything ?
Was that unlocked? 40 dollar is great.@@diesel961
Walmart 29.99 😂
29.99 Walmart 😊
Bought for under $32 without a plan perfect and smoothe android without having to spend hundreds of dollars , camera is decent but not a iPhone so yea
I honestly just got it as a starter phone for my little brother
I’m actually gonna buy one of these for $29.99 at Walmart, and use it for a security camera lmao. I’m hoping the camera is ok enough.
I'd definitely say it's good enough to be a security camera, and for that price you really can't beat it
@ sweet, thanks for the reply. 👍🏼
Link to Walmart
hi, what do you mean by using as a security camera?? Please and thank you.
@ hello I mean using an app like Alfred. To monitor my pets/fish tanks at home (:
its NEVER free... its carrier locked and you sign up for a year of Unlimited to get it "for free". No unlocked device is free.
Who cares
I care. 😂😂😂
3000rs is enough for this phone
