Update: Natasha Leon Branch marked her Instagram private and filed a complaint with RUclips that I violated her privacy. I’m currently fighting this complaint on grounds that her information was public on IG and I recorded on my private property that I have a lease for. Expectation of privacy was not violated at any time. Note: If at any time I’m forced to blur or remove content I will post original non blurred content on my TikTok, Vimeo vimeo.com/959109489 (Vimeo removed appealing) and on my website Squatterhunters.com (Squatters Exposed) Thank you all for watching and subscribing giving me the power to make change.

I dont understand, possession is always the owner. As soon as the tenant moves out, it is automatically in possession of the owner. Someone moving in after the legal tenant is burglary, not a civil dispute or a eviction. They get arrested then they can prove in criminal court that they have a legal lease with the homeowner. Laws need to change. Nothing about this is civil action, it's criminal.

We need to expose squatters for what they are - criminals taking one of the places where homeowners ought to feel most secure - their homes. I liked hearing about Netflix lady (she works there) who dealt with someone who took a lease of her home and then put it on airbnb - the owner ended up having to go to the house when she saw airbnb guest were arriving to send them away., meanwhile the man illegally letting it on airbnb has even been over here in the UK to do some concerts! If someone moves in even if they have a "lease" from a fake owner and even if they had no idea in my view the owner's rights should always prevail.

Then they don't pay rent and then scream you can't kick me out. I should say kick THEM out. It's a merry go round of homeless sketchers coming and going from several apartments. They finally got the sheriffs out here after 10 or 11 months to kick 1 squatter out. Manager told me the sheriff's department here in Orange County is backed up 8 months for evictions. Crazy!!

However I just want to mention my read on this situation looks rather sticky , and you should think with protecting what you have created and set in motion . Which your end statement looked like you have well in hand ;)
Thinking as a judge would and might eventually see this case scenario . . . my first question would be , is there a connection between the previous tenant and squatters ?
Is it a case of a mother bailing on her adult children that were taking advantage of her ?
But of course the tenant could clear that up . Just sayin is my first question .

      In the 1800’s for settlers.
Sometimes they break in and change locks. Other times they get mail sent and hire a locksmith.
Cops hands are tied because they have no jurisdiction in civil. Hoping to continue to get more states to make it criminal.

They should be charged with grand theft. The price of the apartment plus court cost. Then seize her bank accounts, paychecks, and taxes. Jail will cut this out quick.

What's the difference between someone breaking into your house while you're there and someone breaking into your house when you're not there. Neither is a crime? You have to wait months to go to court to get them out and then even then you might not be able to? What kind of crazy world is this?

Another scam is a legal renter gives notice of vacating. They act with or through someone else to illegaly rent the unit with a fake lease to someone who believes them to be legitimate. Taking cash deposits and then they gone.
Leaving the property owner and the scam victim in a bad situation. To many scumbags in America

@@wendycook5576 well on this one I didn’t have keys to the unit itself.
