What I love about the low health portion of the theme is that it's actually a remix of the original title theme from Ark's Release, it's a very good way of signifying the journey you, as a survivor on the Ark went through, Your Unknown Beginning, To your Triumphant End.
On a RP cluster I played on a long time ago: The twelve tribes, we had been at war for months. Yet we had set our differences aside for this day, the meteor (server reset) was mere hours away from destroying everything we knew and loved. But we had one remaining goal... to destroy this ‘thing’ once and for all. The three titans stood overhead, our armies waited in their positions. Fifteen MEK pilots awaited their orders. Fourty gigas. Seventeen Velonasaurs. 5 lightning wyverns. A crash meant we had to get rid of the velos in favor of more gigas. The leader of the alpha tribe, who would be piloting the mega mek, began his speech (he worked on this all morning). “Friends and foes! Today we gather for our final battle. Our deaths are assured, so we have no need to hold anything back. Use everything you have, fight with the fury of a megapithicus, the cohesion of the broodmothers swarm, and awaken the might of the dragon. Wyverns! Rule the air as the manticore had! Meks! Utilize that element better than rockwell ever could! Titans! Show them your majesty! It’s time for war! Fight to your last breath! I will not say where we shall go, for I do not know. *triggers the terminal and the theme begins* Should Valhalla exist, I will join you all for a feast!”

Yeah. I think the final boss deserves to be Rockwell. He’s always wanted to walk in the path of godhood and now he truly is by the looks of it in Genesis 2 trailer. It’s up to us survivors and HLNA to put an end to Rockwell, the corruption and everything before the colony ship reaches its destination.

it's because the spawning of the boss is supposed to be scary and menacing-looking such as discouraging you of how big the target is and not being able to fend off of this huge creature but luckily you have that huge mek looking thing to defeat the boss.
Also considering that this is the creature that took over Earth, the king of shadows, the lord of corruption, the King Titan. Proving that this is the final battle and all we’ve been through has lead to this moment where we finish the titans and restore the planet before its too late
I agree, when it came out it made it feel very climatic and like it was the end of Ark. Alpha King had a special cutscene after the credits which disproved that, but it was still fitting.
I’ll wait until we hear Rockwell’s new theme in Genesis Part 2. I’m sure that one will be as epic as this one. The true final battle to kill Rockwell before the colony ship reaches its destination and spreads his will across the cosmos forever. All leading up to the awaited Ark II.

Also considering about how long he’s been on this ship and creating his own life to perfect his new world and spreading his body throughout the ship to metamorph into something new. His blood is fueled by element. So by going to the planet of which element came from, he’ll become virtually unstoppable by the time the ship reaches where he wants to go. Rockwell doesn’t kill us cause he knows that his plans are already to far in motion for us to do anything to stop him. Those eye squids we see in the trailer seem to be spores that spread his body. If he creates an entire invasion of these creatures I’m sure that’s how he’ll spread his will across the cosmos. Just a theory my dude.
Gareth Coker is really good at making a compelling, memorable base theme and integrating it into the important tracks in his work. The ARK theme is also in the boss fights for the Overseer, Corrupted Master Controller and Rockwell Prime. As well as having variations for each of five story maps main themes

The Judge, The King of Shadows, The King of Titans, Kaijus, Monsters, King of The Corruption, This monster caused earth to become a desolate wasteland, this Titan came to earth and drove it to extinction. He is the strongest being to ever live, he fries meks circuits by looking at them, he squashes Gigas with his fingers, he is the thing that you have nightmares about, he is the scariest Sleep Paralysis Demon, he leaves survivors in pure shock, he is the King Titan.
Man, seeing a full server, full of players with a massive line of Gigas, manas and all other kinds of stuff also the Tribe starting the fight managed to bring out 2 Mega Meks vs this was one hell of a memorable fight. Ark is awesome!
When I fought the king titan with my friend, all our gigas just stood there and did nothing and all our titans died instantly for some reason. One the worst fights for me. I never liked the actual endgame boss fights in ark because dino controll is just way too wonky and the pathing AI always seems to take the worst path possible.
I remember how when I first discovered that King Titan was the final boss of Extinction oh, I was disappointed. I mean he's only a few stuff removed from Godzilla. It didn't seem to fit. Then I read the Explorer notes and it made sense although it still felt like it was working backwards to justify it. He's not just a big random monster, he's the personification of element itself which has long been established to be a bad thing. He made more sense but he still felt like a random choice. It wasn't until I heard the song that everything clicked. It pulls it all together, if the fight such a sense of majesty and importance. And in this one moment it truly feels like this is what our quiz leading to the entire time. This song truly captured the feel that you have been working towards this one fight to save the entire world the entire time. It portrays the importance of the battle but also the fact that it is so heavily continuing the leitmotif of Ark, forces you to reflect on the steps you made along the way. The things you've tamed and lost. The friends you've made. The challenges you've overcome. And then when you've got the boss too low hell a triumphant version of it kicks in, urging you on that you can in fact do this you are so close. Does all results in a track that is not only the best theme in Ark, but among the best final boss themes period.
You can consider them both as endgame. I am bigger fan of genesis 2. But titans, meks,all creatures, mega mek really felt more endgame than genesis part 2 creatures such as exo mek, shadowmane, stryder...
If they try to go back to the center, that means they’re trying to heal, so you need to try and keep them in the center to prevent them from doing that and regaining a bunch of health, but if you’re trying to tame them, that’s a good thing, they’ll heal up so you can ensure they come out as alpha
This is it! The last thing in your way before you save earth and cleanse the element from the soil. He may look scary but with the power you've gained from defeating the 3 other Titans. I know you can do this! Get in your Mech. It could be the last time you ever do...
Even if the king titan is not the hardest he IS the most powerful boss you are just able to bring infinite amount of tames and items and titans unlike others boss who are limited to 20 tames just imagine fighting him with only 20 tames

This is one of my favourite songs in ark, the king titan is such an amazing creature(looks somewhat like godzilla just taller, has longer arms and has other cool abilities) extinction was one of the best dlc’s for ark as it added some of the BIGGEST creatures to the game(ice titan, desert titan, forest titan and of course the KING TITAN)

Here is how I would have the corrupted titan. 1. Actually make him corrupt, he barely has corruption on him only around his belly. 2. Have him look like what a corrupted overlords would look like 3. Increase his size by half a quarter.

When listening to the others for a while you just find this one is too simple. Take moeders or the master controller for example. They have both amazing and exotic themes that makes them very different, especially phase 2 of the master controller

Dude, king titan is bigger than godzilla king of monsters. It's 854 meters tall the gamma!! The Alpha one is a little bit taller than gamma and beta. Can you imagine how big is godzilla is?! It's 108 meters tall.

I know I already posted this on DLYNOX’s King Titan theme video but.. enjoy. Some stuff was changed from the lorewise logic n stuff to make the Titans have more character, if you will. ------------- A story told from the perspective of a survivor I walked onto the Forbidden Plains, my three friends- Laura, Bob, and Mike- all by my side, inside of their MEKs. The King of Shadows happened to be waiting for us, rage in his eyes... he knew that WE were who killed his Lessers, and that humans were who brought the other members of his species, his family, to their knees, slaughtering every last Titan in an effort to allow the Reseed Protocol to succeed. But the protocol is not the only reason why my friends and I are going against this mountain sized monster. He’s who destroyed the city that we lived in before the launch of the ARKs. We approached the King, our MEKs’ blades drawn and shimmering. I yelled, “Fuse the MEKs!” to get the others to activate _Function MegaMEK._ Laura pressed a button and the mechanical beasts glowed white, merging with one another at an atomic level. This caused the King Titan to flinch a little, some surprise changing to anger in his expression. The first MegaMEK was what caused the massive gash in the colossal kaiju’s chest. I assigned everyone’s part of the mecha. Bob at the head’s controller. Laura at the legs’ controllers. Mike commanding the fist hand. And me using its TEK Saber. We approached the bringer of apocalypse, all working in sync. The Titan knew exactly what we were planning to do, at least he looked like he did. Naturally, his spikes raised as an intimidation display, but it didn’t falter us in the slightest. I brought the MegaMEK’s blade to the side as Laura stabilized its footing, with Bob moving the fist arm to balance it. The King roared, summoning his corrupted minions. The extensions of him. Alternate viewpoints, if you will. He was smart enough to know how weak the corrupted are in comparison to a kaiju sized mech, which was why he used them as alternate eyes, to watch our every move. He walked to us, slowly, savoring the anticipation of another fight. But boy, did he underestimate us... I swung the MegaMEK’s blade forwards, RIGHT AT HIS ARM. He shrieked when it hit, creating a massive wound in his forearm. But the blade didn’t cut the bone, so he punched at the mech’s head. Luckily, Bob moved its head out of the way. The Titan winced and pulled that arm close, spitting out a violet fireball out shortly after. This gave Mike a chance to punch the dark beast’s face, but he didn’t take it for some reason. Instead he blocked the fireball. Laura stepped out of the way of the flames, not wanting any circuits to fry. I brought the MegaMEK’s blade back again to prepare for another attack, but the King Titan swiped his hands at it too quickly for me, blood dripping from where the TEK Saber cut his forearm open. We lost control for a moment due to the molten element from the Titan’s bloodstream getting into some electronics. Some joy showed on his face. He could tell that he did some damage, enjoying that fact. But that enjoyment was short-lived as my friends and I regained control, before I slashed at his face, tearing out one of his eyes. That must have hurt. And it definitely did, he pulled back and put his hands over his head, letting out an ear-piercing screech. Laura made the MegaMEK step forwards as Mike punched the King Titan’s side, likely breaking one of his ribs. He stood up to his full height, liquid element dripping from where we wounded him. He punched our mech, managing to nearly *rip off* its right arm. Mike was definitely out in terms of combat. But punching exposed his chest, so I skewered the Titan on the MegaMEK’s blade, and then... We won. I pulled the TEK Saber out of the Titan’s chest... covered in faintly glowing, violet blood. I can’t believe it. “We won!!” Laura and Mike exclaimed, with Bob following shortly after. However, deep inside, I felt bad for doing that. He was just trying to avenge his species. But I reassured myself. After all, he did bring the apocalypse...

I remember how when I first discovered that King Titan was the final boss of Extinction oh, I was disappointed. I mean he's only a few stuff removed from Godzilla. It didn't seem to fit.
Then I read the Explorer notes and it made sense although it still felt like it was working backwards to justify it. He's not just a big random monster, he's the personification of element itself which has long been established to be a bad thing. He made more sense but he still felt like a random choice.
It wasn't until I heard the song that everything clicked. It pulls it all together, if the fight such a sense of majesty and importance. And in this one moment it truly feels like this is what our quiz leading to the entire time. This song truly captured the feel that you have been working towards this one fight to save the entire world the entire time. It portrays the importance of the battle but also the fact that it is so heavily continuing the leitmotif of Ark, forces you to reflect on the steps you made along the way. The things you've tamed and lost. The friends you've made. The challenges you've overcome.
And then when you've got the boss too low hell a triumphant version of it kicks in, urging you on that you can in fact do this you are so close.
Does all results in a track that is not only the best theme in Ark, but among the best final boss themes period.

When they are being drawn back to the center it means you aren't doing enough damage quick enough.
If they try to go back to the center, that means they’re trying to heal, so you need to try and keep them in the center to prevent them from doing that and regaining a bunch of health, but if you’re trying to tame them, that’s a good thing, they’ll heal up so you can ensure they come out as alpha

This is one of my favourite songs in ark, the king titan is such an amazing creature(looks somewhat like godzilla just taller, has longer arms and has other cool abilities) extinction was one of the best dlc’s for ark as it added some of the BIGGEST creatures to the game(ice titan, desert titan, forest titan and of course the KING TITAN)

@@thespinosaurus2972 agreed, a lot of people are going to hate me for this, but the king titan theme is my least favorite boss theme. When listening to the others for a while you just find this one is too simple. Take moeders or the master controller for example. They have both amazing and exotic themes that makes them very different, especially phase 2 of the master controller

Dude, king titan is bigger than godzilla king of monsters. It's 854 meters tall the gamma!! The Alpha one is a little bit taller than gamma and beta. Can you imagine how big is godzilla is?! It's 108 meters tall.

A story told from the perspective of a survivor
I walked onto the Forbidden Plains, my three friends- Laura, Bob, and Mike- all by my side, inside of their MEKs. The King of Shadows happened to be waiting for us, rage in his eyes... he knew that WE were who killed his Lessers, and that humans were who brought the other members of his species, his family, to their knees, slaughtering every last Titan in an effort to allow the Reseed Protocol to succeed. But the protocol is not the only reason why my friends and I are going against this mountain sized monster. He’s who destroyed the city that we lived in before the launch of the ARKs. We approached the King, our MEKs’ blades drawn and shimmering.
I yelled, “Fuse the MEKs!” to get the others to activate _Function MegaMEK._ Laura pressed a button and the mechanical beasts glowed white, merging with one another at an atomic level. This caused the King Titan to flinch a little, some surprise changing to anger in his expression. The first MegaMEK was what caused the massive gash in the colossal kaiju’s chest. I assigned everyone’s part of the mecha.
Bob at the head’s controller.
Laura at the legs’ controllers.
Mike commanding the fist hand.
And me using its TEK Saber.
We approached the bringer of apocalypse, all working in sync. The Titan knew exactly what we were planning to do, at least he looked like he did. Naturally, his spikes raised as an intimidation display, but it didn’t falter us in the slightest. I brought the MegaMEK’s blade to the side as Laura stabilized its footing, with Bob moving the fist arm to balance it.
The King roared, summoning his corrupted minions. The extensions of him. Alternate viewpoints, if you will. He was smart enough to know how weak the corrupted are in comparison to a kaiju sized mech, which was why he used them as alternate eyes, to watch our every move. He walked to us, slowly, savoring the anticipation of another fight. But boy, did he underestimate us...
I swung the MegaMEK’s blade forwards, RIGHT AT HIS ARM. He shrieked when it hit, creating a massive wound in his forearm. But the blade didn’t cut the bone, so he punched at the mech’s head. Luckily, Bob moved its head out of the way. The Titan winced and pulled that arm close, spitting out a violet fireball out shortly after. This gave Mike a chance to punch the dark beast’s face, but he didn’t take it for some reason. Instead he blocked the fireball. Laura stepped out of the way of the flames, not wanting any circuits to fry. I brought the MegaMEK’s blade back again to prepare for another attack, but the King Titan swiped his hands at it too quickly for me, blood dripping from where the TEK Saber cut his forearm open.
We lost control for a moment due to the molten element from the Titan’s bloodstream getting into some electronics. Some joy showed on his face. He could tell that he did some damage, enjoying that fact. But that enjoyment was short-lived as my friends and I regained control, before I slashed at his face, tearing out one of his eyes. That must have hurt. And it definitely did, he pulled back and put his hands over his head, letting out an ear-piercing screech. Laura made the MegaMEK step forwards as Mike punched the King Titan’s side, likely breaking one of his ribs. He stood up to his full height, liquid element dripping from where we wounded him. He punched our mech, managing to nearly *rip off* its right arm. Mike was definitely out in terms of combat. But punching exposed his chest, so I skewered the Titan on the MegaMEK’s blade, and then...
We won.
I pulled the TEK Saber out of the Titan’s chest... covered in faintly glowing, violet blood.
I can’t believe it.
“We won!!” Laura and Mike exclaimed, with Bob following shortly after. However, deep inside, I felt bad for doing that. He was just trying to avenge his species. But I reassured myself. After all, he did bring the apocalypse...
