    Hi Tony, thanks so much for taking the time to review more “budget” real world focused equipment rather than just targeting elite components. Once they get a following so many of your peers move on to premium brands meaning reviews for components most of us can’t afford are a dime a dozen and reviews of real world equipment are scarce and often not well balanced or informed. Thanks again.

The looks won't suit at all with the new marantz 😂 would probably hide that beautiful big vu or turn it off at least lol that and some polk r700s mains with r400 centre is will be the basis of my next system if I like how it all sounds and someone has all of it to test in person. How warm did it get after sustained use? I recently bought two but got a good deal at $4,000 for buying a pair.
    I have not had time to set them up yet, and they will be stacked with the 6700H on the top.
    I have two AC Infinity T10 front exhaust fan units, which i will likely put on top of each amp at this stage, i'll open those up to add support to take the weight since these are significantly heavier than those T10s are rated to take, and the bottom one will have the weight of an amp and the weight of the Denon to deal with.
    The amps themselves don't look like they're going to have any issue with that weight ontop of them, they're very solid and the side heatsinks align with half each base foot anyway.

    Excellent review Tony!. Would it be worth using the latest Tonewinner amp AD-8300 with a Marantz SR7015 for 7.2.4, or should I just go with a Two channel external amp to cover all channels? The AD-8300 is currently on special for A$2399 in Melbourne, so it may be an option considering the Marantz MM7025 2 Ch is currently going for A$1890 and the Marantz MM8077 7 Ch is currently going for A$3999.

    • @BuildMontage
      @BuildMontage  Год назад +1

      Hmm... do you want to use the Marantz SR7015 and just cover the additional channels with a 2 channel? I personally (since I have a processor now) would prefer to use amplifiers for all channels if you can swing it. Tonewinner make great bang for buck amplifiers, so maybe you could go all in and switch to a Marantz processor. It all depends what your goals are - if you plan to change or upgrade, I prefer to go processor/separates myself. Either option will work though for sure, budget and your preferences will determine it for sure.

    Thanks

      No I don't have any experience with AMC. My reviews are usually stand alone without comparisons because it's unfair to pick a random amp to compare it with when there are thousands of options. I try to review on it's own merits. I would happily have a Tonewinner in my setup if I needed it.

    I believe that you haven't really experience the full power of your system... If you read this do the following you will thank me!!! Step 1 only use the external amp, but also turn off the internal amp of your Pioneer Elite AV. Step 2 do the auto audio calibration. Step 3 turn up all your speaker level to highest level... Step 4 enjoy it... The higher voltage ⚡ from the RCA outputs your power amplifier will ❤️ it...
