The sound design here is chilling, and love the Scottish voice acting!
First Dear Esther, now Still Wakes The Deep - us Scotland fans are very grateful for the representation! Very excited for this! The catacombs of Aberdeen might be a fun next location, eh? 😉
Who cares
I love Scotland locations by TheChineseRoom either) Still Wakes The Deep strongly reminds me about my Dear Esther, my favorite game!
Add Under the waves to your list too 😊..... I've just started playing it great game
There's no such thing as "representation". It's simply censorship by another name.
But Dear Esther was pretentious railed overrated trash....
Reminds me of Glasgow on a Saturday night out when you’ve had too many beers and are queuing for a taxi, the hallucinations and weird swearing.
Looking forward to this game.
Aye the taxi rank across from Central Station is a sight to behold 😉
looks good! nice to see body presence in a chineese room game -also amazing water effects inside the oil rig scene
This is the type of experience that would be PERFECT for VR. Perfect!
Can't wait for this. It's so good to see y'all continuing to explore the narrative horror stuff. Looking forward to adding this to my Chinese Room collection.
This looks really promising! I adore Everybody's Gone to the Rapture and it was one of my first experiences on Playstation 4. The storytelling, atmosphere and the emotional aspects are one of a kind. What a blast! Hope this one will be a full blown success. Can't wait to see what you're doing with Bloodlines 2.
Still Wakes The Deep strongly reminds me about my Dear Esther, my favorite game! Brilliant atmosphere! But personally I would like to see seascapes, rocks, maybe island like St Kilda in the distance instead of fog.
Getting huge lovecraftian vibes hopefully it is at least somewhat cosmic horror oriented
As a certified horror fan that cannot play horror games, I can confirm that this looks AMAZING, but I will not be playing it. Far too much tension for my middle-aged body to handle.
Great work CR!
Always a pleasure see this beauty.
I'm a TCR long time fan, and 2024 for you but also for us will be an amazing year!!
As always much love for you guys and thanks for all the hard work, passion and love you put in your games!
Thank you so much, Oscar! Your support has been very much felt, we massively appreciate it. 🌻
@@TheChineseRoom it's a pleasure! ❤️
Reminds me of cold fear, we need a game like that
Cold fear is a great game..
HOLY HELL THIS LOOKS SO GOOD
Im actually going to dig bloodlines if this is what the maps are like but hopefully they can translate their beautiful prose to interesting plots schemes and quests. I have faith… for now
We are looking forward to the release of the game. Looks amazing. Smells of the spirit of the last two "Amnesias."
Has anyone else been watching those "big waves in the north sea" youtube clips?
Dan Pinchbeck? Jess Curry? I recently replayed MFP for the first time in many years and my god, the two of them need to make more games like that...
I loved a machine for pigs and everybody's gone to the rapture, so i'm really looking forward to see what the chinese room creates with this game. i wish the team the best of luck!
AT THE MOUNTAINS OF GLASGOW
Just a few more days!
Could you guys update Rapture for PS5? Would love to experience those beautiful visuals in 4K
Ah, sadly this sits with our publisher for the title Sony. We hope they might! 🖤
I am unusually amped for this game.
Please bring this psvr2, whilst I'll definitely be buying this flat screen version a vr version would be ace. Oh and whilst you're at it port everyone's gone to the rapture too please....the first game that's ever made me cry. C'mon then chop chop 😊 x
Im so happy TCR didnt give up on horror after machine for pigs :)
Frictional games went more hard gameplay, Im sure that TCR making a more "walky" horror game is appreciated.
What happened to the PlayStation exclusives? I was a big fan from your PS side!
Don't worry. Still Wakes the Deep will still be available on PS5 :D
🤞 please have physical release! please have physical release! 🤞This is very much my sorta gaming experience
Ça a l’air génial !! J’ai hâte de découvrir ce jeu d’horreur, en plus il a l’air super beau 😍
Bien terror otra vez estilo Amnesia A Machine for Pigs? ojalá sea algo así
KTULHU FHTAGN!!!!

We just announced it yesterday - June 18!! :) Thanks for your patience.
@@TheChineseRoom will it has physical copy?

Day one 1 for me
OILSHOCK
Wathcing your videos makes me happy
Sorry, but there seems to be way too much "follow the yellow" in this game. Just from both trailers, it seems like every path the player takes has some yellow object or paint. It was one of the most complained about features in RE4 Remake and this game looks to be littered with it.
Just let the player figure out the right path...
Didn't notice that, because i'm figuring out my own path anyway, while exploring all other paths at the same time. But if true, it's a bit disappointing - having so much handholding in a game...
@@marcdwonn9772 One theory as to why is because it's been shown that game completion rate is positively correlated to public review score. The more people who complete the game, the higher chance for positive reviews from the masses. For those who get stuck or frustrated, they will be less inclined to leave a favorable review. This is why games will provide hints quickly, or have the player character give the solution before the player becomes frustrated.
The problem with handholding like this for me is that it assumes a low intelligence of the player. If they think I need yellow to guide me the right way without giving me the chance to make those mental deductions myself, I worry if the game will pose any mental challenges throughout its gameplay.
The Half-Life series is so successful in this department because it shows instead of tells, urging the player to think for themselves. An example is in the first game when the headcrab walks in front of the turret and is gunned down. Your player character doesn't just say, "that sounds like a turret, better be careful crossing its path", you make the mental deduction from what you watched.
Oh nice, a video game where you walk, how refreshing
Looks like Callisto Protocol based on an oil rig...nothing new to get excited about.
"gameplay"
I'm kinda tired of "walking simulator" horror games in industry, because I refuse to believe that grown man can't at least try to defend himself
ok. now scram
Bro is discovering horror games for the first time
Fact I can watch the full game on RUclips really sucks and I think that has to stop
The sheer amount of yellow painted hand holding in the first five minutes is enough of a red flag go skip this one even if it's free
Yikes dev from Dear Esther, one of the most overrated pretentious railed walking sims ever made.... might hold off on this one...
