I think most people aren’t liking this fight simply because Okita. He made his debut years ago and is only stepping in the ring when the narrative literally needs a human to win (or tie). Being the 2nd swordsman when Sasaki has been stated multiple times to be the greatest, on the shelf for years, an obscure historical figure and having an almost guaranteed win after Tesla and Leonidas had to die I think is the real reason people aren’t getting hyped
I have zero interest in this fight because he's from another manga 😅
There’s also the whole issue of him being a literal dlc character in a story, mf is straight up a promotional tool for a separate manga it’s how I feel about whoever wins the god tournament unless it’s something like a Zeus run back or Siegfried
That was because okita was sick when he was alive. He never reached his full potential. And he had to be pushed to even reach this high. Sasaki on the other hand fights someone until he wins (mentally)

Ngl, I was expecting Susano to have a counter move for every one of Okita’s moves after he took a stance and all swordsmen of history pointing out their specialized stances.

They had to do random ass power scaling to try and make other Gods & Humans seem closer despite the fact that they literally made Adam & Zeus too OP to respectively be comparable to other Gods

I think this mangas popularity is starting to dwindle. I will still read it because I whole heartedly love the concept, but with it being monthly and translation teams require more time to polish, along with most of the fans barely talking about it anymore makes me think that the golden age of it popularity in 2021 is a thing of the past.

My biggest problem with the fight is susanoo and okita altho both strong and Cool keep famboying over each other mid fight and even when it gets serious i can’t take it seriosly and all the mid fight cuts ain’t helping either
To be honest on the Shiva vs Raiden match I was the same way didn’t really like the start of it but it ramped up from 5 to 95 and became great.

@pixelgun4789 the main issue is that they need to end up with a clean 6-6 record since it is a 13 round tournament and if Susanoo wins then the next 2 fights are 100% human wins, irregardless of who the fighters are

@@pixelgun4789 there isn't much of a plot twist to do. This is a very formulaic manga and it has one of two ways it can go. Okita wins and the next fight has the element of surprise (unless it is Loki, who is going to lose). Or we have a tie in this fight and round 11 and then Loki loses round 12 unless Loki does a double suicide in round 11. This is the big issue with writting tournament based mangas in this format, like what happened with the KVP tournament. There is a third option though, which is the most interesting in that it is 6-6 and round 13 is a tie (Odin commits a double suicide) and since the humans have a 14th fighter, an elder god shows up.
I think Susanoo will lose just like with jack and Hercules which is whatever I’m only wait on two gods to fight and that’s Anubis and Apollo other than that anything that happens till then I’m neutral on
I think it just has a lot of stuff happening outside the fight so the actual fight isn't being focused on, it sucks because this fight could be amazing but so much is going on I'd hate for it to end like this

Part of me cannot help but wonder if the reason why Record of Ragnarok only releases once a month is because of all the spin offs that they are making I would assume that working on those spin offs would take some of their time away from the main series? If not then it does make me wonder why they only release a new chapter on the 25th of each month. I really wish it didn’t take so long to get chapters out, especially considering the fact that the longer it takes for them to get chapters out the longer it will take for the anime to come out. I’m not trying to badmouth the creators of Record of Ragnarok I’m just getting some frustration off of my chest and that’s because I love this manga/anime very much and I just want to see more
It releases once a month for the same reason the boruto manga, and DBS released once a month

@@masontalbert6037 Because different magazines have different schedules. Take for example Shonen Jump, wich has a weekly release schedule, thus, its series are weekly. DBS, Boruto and ROR are monthly because the magazines they're published in are monthly, not because of time constraints.

Aw man, Mr Weeb didn’t include my take on how Okita is just Walmart Brand Speed o Sound Sonic
They came out around the same time, Sonic made his webcomic debut around august of 2009 and I think this version of Okita debuted at the end of 2009/beginning of 2010 in the manga "Tenshou no Ryoma", made by Shinya Umemura who later when on to make "Chiruran:Shinsengumi Requiem" and "Record of Ragnarok" and it's various Spin-offs. Couldn't find the specific dates of their debut.
Well turns out I was wrong, Tenshou no Ryoma came out on December 3, 2005, which means that this version of Okita Souji is way older than Speed o Sound Sonic from OPM.

I always take a break from a series if i follow it for 6 months straight…just happened to be a break for this fight. So far i like the fight but it really does feel like an after thought moreso than a main stay

Unless the fight goes the way of “I surrender” we know that Susa is gonna lose. Or some other wild plot twist bullshit. So that’s the biggest issue to me. Because I am really enjoying him as a character.
Probably because it lacks BIG NAMES don't get me wrong they're both famous but the previous fighters were just on another level or the odin vs buddha x beel kintoki and thor probably took the hype from this fight which people are more interested in

Me personally I like the fight but maybe it just because swordsmen is my favorite characters 🤷🏽♂️
I am a fan of this anime, it is wonderful, but they animated it dirty, the fights are slow and the characters interfere and get stuck in every part of the fight. I hope they fix it next season, because this anime is amazing
If you ask me, Round 10 is kinda underrated. This is a sword fight between Japanese swordsmen, one of them being OP as hell, and pretty much someone who just wants the fade and nothing else. I agree with Buddha and Beelzebub vs Odin being a bit more interested, but I’m mainly interested in how the fight will end. Hopefully, with Susano’o dying like a GOAT while lying down with a satisfied smile on his face.
Lu Bu vs Thor fight was peak for sure. The rest was a downgrade in comparison.

Record of Ragnarok Offically went downhill after Beelzebub vs Tesla The Other Fights had gotten incredibly boring I Didn't enjoy round 9 like I did the Other Fights leonidas was disappointing and the fight itself was ridiculously short I relatively enjoyed susanoo and okita fight but its going to be short as well I hope the Arthur gets his shit together and Give the Rest of the Fights the same energy he gave The sixth seventh and eighth fights

There's many reasons :
1- Most of the Gods aren't that godly anymore
2- Human's stories being changed so they can be powerful while just bring humans who already have stories that make them powerful
3- some designs are just bad
4- monthly release
