Love your videos dude! Not sure if you are ever going to break into other Stuff but Id love a review on of course ONE PIECE like so many people. You just have that personality that I think would make it so good.
I loved this part. The idea that while his flames are legendary, he's not spent the last thousand years neglecting every other aspect of combat he can access.
I really did wish we saw an all out battle between Bankai yamamoto and ywach using his own vollstandig. That would have been so much more epic and you still could have done it in such a way that ywach got desperate enough to steal it. I’m begging you Kubo please allow ywach to use the stolen power in cour 3 and 4 of the anime🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
...but he was defeated, twice. And outsmarted and overpowered, both times. Aizen sealed his sword and turned his own flames against him, knowing he'd jump on the grenade, then he didn't even have enough power left in him to deal damage to Aizen with a spell that cost him his own arm to cast. He only survived becasue Aizen refocused on Ichigo and didn't finish him. And then Yhwach also outsmarted him with a clone, had him expend all his power on it, and then cut him down with a single strike and atomized the body. He knew Yamamoto's anger towards him and his arrogance in his own power, and used it against him. Sure he could deal a lot of damage and his flame shield was a problem to get through, and then the summons, but those don't make someone strong. Aizen and Yhwach were strong, they had strong convictions and wanted something real hard. Yamamoto didn't. He got old and tired. His powers were strong powers, but he himself wasn't a strong person anymore. I mean the villain literally monologues about this after he kills him, you can't get less subtle than that.
6:33 his bankai wouldve basically been like unleashing an actual sun on the planets surface, considering even in his mega weakened state against roid the heat was that of the core of the sun. a full strength yama doing that wouldve effortlessly blown through the barrier of fake karakura town and prob instantly burnt away earth itself, and he wouldnt allow the harming of innocents
Would I have liked to see more of his zanpakto of course. But I like that Kubo made villains have to make a work around for him and Kenpachi. It's solid writing when it comes to wanting overpowered characters .
Bleach is this guys life but he doesn’t comprehend simple implications. Yamamoto becomes the sun while in bankai. Aizen’s invasion tactics would see the final battle take place on earth. The earth would be instantly disintegrated on bankai activation. Everyone would die, the balance of souls would be destroyed and the 3 worlds will collapse. THE REASON YAMA DIDNT USE BANAKi, ON EARTH, WHILE FIGHTING AIZEN. IS BECAUSE IT WOULD HAVE ENDED THE BLEACH UNIVERSE
Oh my God, thank you for making this video. I am very tired of arguing with Bleach fans and other fan groups about how strong this character is. you have idiots in the Bleach fandom who think Yamamoto’s weak or that like Lele borrow could beat him and I stupid shit like that. It annoys me to no end.
Yamamoto is by far the strongest character in the entire Bleach universe, no other shinigami can compare to him, even during TYBW. Kubo had to kill him because he was too powerful, in the future he wouldn't know what to do with him. Yamamoto was someone who, if need be, could handle any threat, could defeat any enemy, would be the drawn ace up his sleeve when all others fell, and that's why he had to die.
Out of zanpakutou but not out of options. Denken from the series Frieren embodies this type of tenacity as well. I guess old veterans know full well that when push comes to shove you just gotta work with what you got.
TLDR: Yamamoto didn't use bankai against Aizen because he wanted to make sure he killed him. Full explanation: Yamamoto's shikai has always been shown to do massive damage to a large area. "Burn all creation to ashe" is a very literal representation of what his shikai can and will do. Adversely, his bankai is shown to be extremely effective against a single opponent hence the condensing of his flames into a single point, his blade. Since he knew Aizen's Kyoka Suigetsu could/would affect him he didn't want to take any chances and decided to nuke the whole battlefield. That's why he and Aizen had that short exchange about collateral damage and how the Gotei 13 are willing to throw down their lives to serve their duty because they were literally going to have to had Yamamoto's plan worked.
His Bankai is a Nuke can’t just use it however he pleases like other captains…also I think yammy was just so HIM that he didn’t like fights ending quickly
Every villain that fights Yama has to cheat to fight him. Even in the filler, Amagai sealed his Soul Reaper powers and Zanpakto. - - What I don't get is why Aizen set up an elaborate plan with WonderWeiss when he was about be transformed by the Hoygokou,(and reach transcendence). It's pretty coincidence that the moment Yama falls, THEN Aizen starts transforming. I think it's becuz Kubo didn't want to make Yama look weak or beta against a transcendent Aizen. I wonder how that fight would have went down? 🤔
a good answer as to why he doesn't use bankai was because of the damage it'll cause to everyone else. and destroying the pillars of fake karakura town, would mean turning the fake into the real and his bankai in the mortal world would kill everyone.
I like to image that Yamamoto was offered a place in Zero Squad but declined so he could continue what he started. I mean his Bankai could destroy Soul Society if he left it on for too long, imagine what damage it could do to the World of the Living.
Presumably he stopped making more fire when he found out it was useless against Wonderweiss. He thought the fire was being negated, no point wasting energy on a Shikai whose powers aren't working. As for Bankai, somebody else pointed out that his power might've damaged the pillars. Considering the fight was taking place in the world of the living though, it's also possible his powers would've extended past Fake Karakura Town & caused serious damage to the world as a whole (plus drawn unwanted attention from external forces, if that's even something he'd care about)
I still don't think the "black" of Ichibes bankai could or would reach him if old man yamma was in bankai..... "as hot as the sun" would mean probably as bright as well.....
The 'black' of Ichibei's Zanpakuto is the ink that makes up the outlines of Yamamoto and his flames. Ignoring that Ichibei probably just Reiatsu-crushes that ability anyway, given he's stronger than Senjumaru who's Bankai is around 3x stronger than Yama's...
Don't give yourself an unnecessary brain damage lol. Ichibei's ink isn't the real life ink that you use for graffiti. So just leave that argument and stick to Yamamoto strongest in the gotei 13 before zaraki in the cfyow timeline. I don't know why you lots just love giving yourselves so much stress trying so hard to prove your favorite character must be the strongest in the story even if it has been established that there are just some characters more powerful than your favorite character be it hax or reality warping powers. Yamamoto isn't the protagonist so leave it where it is at the gotei 13 level lol😂
6:28 Because he would destroy the World of the living doing so. Look what his Bankai could do in SS. 7:32 This is a new take into when WW used his Ress. But i think most people know that he used to defeat Kensei as well and just run to Yamamoto when he used his Shikai
Kinda awnsers why he never made a personal attempt to stop ichigo during the soul society arc. Even as amped as ichigo got there, jumping above the average captain level by ALOT. He was a Nat in a hurricane.
A samurai's training wasn't just exclusive to kenjutsu they practiced with polarm's staff's shrunken, and Jujutsu, JJK what? Yes. I myself have even studied how to disarm a samurai as being a samurai.
Yamamoto's bankai should counter Wonderweiss' explosion as Yama's bankai would absorb the flames stored in Wonderweiss and it has always bothered me that it wasn't used like that
Honestly i believe that Yamamoto was more powerful than most if not all of the squad zero which is probably why he was entrusted to be in charge of the 13 court guard squads
Even in the filler arcs, the antagonists still had to remove his access to his zanpakuto in one way or another. Kyroku and Ukitake are still the only ones in the series to actually take on Yamamamoto without limiting his powers.
Shunsui compared Yamamoto's reiatsu to a wildfire and said merely standing in his presence was draining and, despite his proclivities, shunsui is one of the more powerful captains.
concidering it was a limited area of Karakura that was "fake", his bankai would've decimated the pillars and torched the entire town++. Concidering the entire Soul Society almost dried out when he released his bankai there.. a spiritual place.. almost got ruined by him.. imagine what it would do to the real world. literally end up with a drought crisis
Yamamoto is the textbook of too strong and too arrogant, he was so arrogant he underestimated aizen and this resulted in him in being blown by his own flame; he was too arrogant that he played with fake ywach when he could have just be done with him and then would notice that he was being played with, resulting in being cut in 1/3. Looks really good as the last best defense of soul society
He was a BAAAAAAAAD Mam... Shut your mouth. I am just talking about Yammy. Between this and his fight with Loyd Royd, you can really see why he was so feared. Even by Yhwach who used someone else to tire him out so much that he could not fight any more, allowing Yhwach to deliver the final blow. But this entire fight was a good one.
The fact that yamamoto was willing to fight on and train zaraki on sword art(zanjutsu) which is far superior in potential against the best zanjutsu fighter shinigami of all time, unohana yachiru(who mastered hundreds of sword arts), speaks a lot for yamamoto strength in sword fight, he wanted to train and fight frequently someone who unohana needed bankai to make him go full power, the fact yamamoto could handle zaraki on a pure sword fight speaks volumes.
I have a question, Would Ichigo at the end of the series be a possible replacement for Yamamoto if possible, arguable Kenpachi would fit for that aswell but given Ichigos Fairly Unique existence it would be of that question aswell.
He is one oft the 3 shinigami yhwach feared . Would be so cool to see Ichigo real bankai and Aizen abnkai in the future to comapre them . Then we know the best bankai is ?
I feel Yamamoto knew eventually one day Yhwach would return so he decided to spare using his Bankai on Aizen for that day & as well as it wouldve been too much handle for the fake katakura town.
Was the same with Madara from Naruto where even the author did not know how to beat him. Happens quite often in shounen manga/ anime and most authors fail to deliver a believable solution. I love Bleach but killing Yamamoto like that felt wrong.
Remember this Tommosan, Your "mood" switches when you take a shower, change clothes, change songs, ect...... Shake it up and wake it up... if life ever gets stale......... You gotta do the "creating" or "Making" it into that...(Take chances more, quit worrying about everyone else.). I hope if your ever down one day.... You will try it. Thx. (TO anyone out there who needs also>) All in love... and Jesus.. Thx.
I believe the reason Yamamoto doesn't use his bankai is because he is in the world of the living. The living world and soul society are fundamentaly made of different things, having something as hot as the sun appear would devastate the world of the living, The soul society is made of spirit particles so much stronger stuff it can handle the bakai
6:26 Someone asked this exact question on reddit, so I'll give the same answer as I gave there. There's a video right here on youtube going over what would happen if you were to introduce different layers of the sun to Earth's atmosphere. Without the headcanon/agenda that the Fake Karakura Town inside the barrier is somehow displaced space from Soul Society and therefore an entirely different atmosplere altogether, something that's 15M°C just appearing in our atmosphere would have the equivalent effect of a block of TNT near the size of Manhattan exploding. So... if Kubo intended Yamamoto's reiatsu heat to be and function 100% equally to actual heat, and the barrier they had surrounding Karakura Town wasnt absolutely God Tier, Yamamoto wipes out life in Japan upon Bankai release and eventually the entire world. Edit: easiest answer is Kubo hadn't come up with the concept yet. That being said, considering the revelations in the one shot, Yamamoto is incredibly shortsighted. 3 captain deaths and the removal of Aizen and Yhwach from the dimension allowed Hell to be opened from the inside. What happens when we get 6 Gotei Captains, 4 Vizard Captains, 6 other near Captain level fighters, Gin and Aizen all killed if Enetsu Jigoku goes off without a hitch?
What did you think of Yamamoto fighting without access to Ryūjin Jakka? Did it help cement his position as the strongest Shinigami to you? How do you feel about this scene in general? Let me know your thoughts!

@@thebk247squad zero was so disappointing and they were such assholes when they came in too. I'm pretty sure from what we saw Kyoraku could kill all of them with his bankai.
Villains: Crap! It's Yamamoto! Where's my deus ex machina? Get it out! Now!
I don't understand why he discards his zanpakuto after it gets extinguished. He can still use kendo to fight
Because his Hakuda was too badass to pass up to show.
@@royalreptile923 and we already saw a glimps of his kendo when he was teaching zaraki how to use a sword (yeah i know, the sentence itself is wild)
@@josue1996jc
My question when I recall the kendo scene with kenpachi and Nnoitra is can every captain do that and have the same results? Or is it just Kenpachi? And if Yama taught Kenpachi, he should be able to do that, right? If so, why wasn't he literally cutting a path thru everything until his zanpakuto had to be used??
He didn't need it
He starts throwing hands like a badass, honestly this was much cooler option than him keeping swinging with his sword so I don't question it.
Is this video currently unlisted?
Yep! But not for long...
Rare footage of a comment people won't call an example of RUclips being glitchy.
"you cant let the cat out of the bag a second time"
Kubo: Watch me do it again.. "Bankai"
:P
Kubo: Want to see me let the cat out of the bag?
...wanna see me do it again? 😃
Thanks for making this video about 1 of the most overlooked epic fights at Fake Karakura Town.
I remember reading this in the manga for the first time and was totally shocked at how powerful Yamamoto was. Seeing this fight in the anime was awesome too. One of my favorite characters 🔥🔥
The only character I see getting this same treatment was Seijuro Hiko XIII from Ruroni Kenshin. Dude was so busted the writer said he couldn't get involved in the main story because the story wouldn't have happened because he'd curbstomp everyone if unleashed. He got ONE fight in the main story and it was against a literal building sized giant and he still one shot them.
That man has same voice VA as Shanks
I remember watching the anime as it was airing, and being blown away with how dope yamamoto was without his sword.
Bro got "Yama" in his name, the king of hell or judgment of hell.
How strong is Yamamoto?
Aizen: Strong enough for me to use plot armor Arrancar
❤😂
Yamamoto was truly a well done character i love and hate him at the same time....but its interesting to how even among some of the busted character in the series he still feels op...mighty
Love your videos dude! Not sure if you are ever going to break into other Stuff but Id love a review on of course ONE PIECE like so many people. You just have that personality that I think would make it so good.
He ranked his favorite JJK characters recently.
To sum up yama Fear the old man in a profession where men die young”
Yama really used a forbidden technique and sacrificed his arm just to burn aizen’s clothes🤡
Thank you
I really like the moment when Yamamoto tricked Aizen by allowing himself to be stabbed. It shows that he is ready to use tricks or play dirty.
...but he was defeated, twice.
I view yamamoto the same way people look at whitebeard. Old dudes in shonen anime are not to be messed with.
Out of all the shounen mangaka Kubo is one of the best at "show don't tell" if not the best when it comes to the overall story.
Would I have liked to see more of his zanpakto of course. But I like that Kubo made villains have to make a work around for him and Kenpachi. It's solid writing when it comes to wanting overpowered characters .
I cant wait to see Old mman Yama in Hell arc 😍 imagine his head being a burning skull ( like ghost rider ) while his body is wrapped in hell chanis 🤯
He is trash simple
Yamamoto is by far the strongest character in the entire Bleach universe, no other shinigami can compare to him, even during TYBW. Kubo had to kill him because he was too powerful, in the future he wouldn't know what to do with him.
Yamamoto was someone who, if need be, could handle any threat, could defeat any enemy, would be the drawn ace up his sleeve when all others fell, and that's why he had to die.
Goatamoto
I got you: YamaGOATo
Out of zanpakutou but not out of options.
Denken from the series Frieren embodies this type of tenacity as well. I guess old veterans know full well that when push comes to shove you just gotta work with what you got.
Would love to know Yama’s backstory. If there are so many prodigies in Bleach, he had to be the ULTIMATE prodigy.
*Wonderweiss seals Ryujinjakka*
*Yamamoto: I didn't hear no bell*
Yama may just be my favourite bleach character
Clearly Kubo loves playing with fire
When you disarm your senile grandpa and he gives you the hands
If only Kensei had this badass Hakuda moment
And we still didnt see the full power of him, since when we saw his bankai he only had 1 arm
Always remember that Unahana was bfr'd from both points of the invasions.
Aizen: You're nothing after I've sealed your Zanpakuto.
Yamamoto: But can you seal these hands tho?
Aizen: ....fuck.
Its nice to know Im not the only one who's obsessed with Bleach.. (Hi my names "Aaron" I am addicted to Bleach"
a good answer as to why he doesn't use bankai was because of the damage it'll cause to everyone else. and destroying the pillars of fake karakura town, would mean turning the fake into the real and his bankai in the mortal world would kill everyone.
"there is no greater security" oh he was so cold 😭
Yall fail to see just how bright something is at that temperature, no black of anything could reach it, no outline, nothing.....
@@lexogun1311 not stressing, stop blowing hot air where none is needed
@@HOLDENPOPE Yamamoto defeated yhwach in his prime, yhwach kills ichibe pretty easily....... your point is mute...😂😂😂
Yamamoto's bankai should counter Wonderweiss' explosion as Yama's bankai would absorb the flames stored in Wonderweiss and it has always bothered me that it wasn't used like that
Are we just going to ignore the fact that yamamoto's bankai is as hot as THE CORE OF THE F*@KING SUN!
Honestly i believe that Yamamoto was more powerful than most if not all of the squad zero which is probably why he was entrusted to be in charge of the 13 court guard squads
Even in the filler arcs, the antagonists still had to remove his access to his zanpakuto in one way or another. Kyroku and Ukitake are still the only ones in the series to actually take on Yamamamoto without limiting his powers.
why didn't captain aizen kill unohana when they were still in seijoto kyorin?
Shunsui compared Yamamoto's reiatsu to a wildfire and said merely standing in his presence was draining and, despite his proclivities, shunsui is one of the more powerful captains.
concidering it was a limited area of Karakura that was "fake", his bankai would've decimated the pillars and torched the entire town++.
Concidering the entire Soul Society almost dried out when he released his bankai there.. a spiritual place.. almost got ruined by him.. imagine what it would do to the real world.
literally end up with a drought crisis
Your videos butter My biscuits thank you
This comment tickles my fancy
Yamamoto is the textbook of too strong and too arrogant, he was so arrogant he underestimated aizen and this resulted in him in being blown by his own flame; he was too arrogant that he played with fake ywach when he could have just be done with him and then would notice that he was being played with, resulting in being cut in 1/3. Looks really good as the last best defense of soul society
Wonderweiss is one of the most underrated characters. He beat kensei, mashiro and ukitake in base. Imo hes stronger than any of the espada
Every powerful character gets bamboozled to make sure they don’t just end everything in a minute, just ask Gojo.
Julius Novachrono
If I don't see Yama performing like Prime Lebron in Hell Arc I'm finding Kubo
He was a BAAAAAAAAD Mam... Shut your mouth. I am just talking about Yammy. Between this and his fight with Loyd Royd, you can really see why he was so feared. Even by Yhwach who used someone else to tire him out so much that he could not fight any more, allowing Yhwach to deliver the final blow. But this entire fight was a good one.
i really wanna see yama vs the entirety of the 13 squads
Excellent :)
Just realized rhat art work makes him look like the sun during a cme
Wish the water 💦 🌊🌊💦 users were given as much credence as Yamas 🔥 fire.
“You might have taken my sword but I still got these hands” - Genryusai Shigekuni Yamamoto
I felt bad for Wonderweiss tbh
Reminds me of my cousin ngl.
Was the same with Madara from Naruto where even the author did not know how to beat him. Happens quite often in shounen manga/ anime and most authors fail to deliver a believable solution. I love Bleach but killing Yamamoto like that felt wrong.
He most likely destroys anyone in the verse in hand to hand combat. Even the immortal enemies would wish they were mortal so the pain would end.
Thx. I've stated this before, no matter what anyone thinks, ywatch and azien made plans for fighting yamamoto... they didn't care about zero squad
Thats a great point! Ive never thought of it that way before.
@@kylemma33 True but given the recent updated well ❤️🩹 received adaptation for anime despite midgating and tricks he might of to make lil plan.
Him and Zaraki alone proved they can catch bodies without one
where did yu get the coloured in version from?
I believe the reason Yamamoto doesn't use his bankai is because he is in the world of the living.
The living world and soul society are fundamentaly made of different things, having something as hot as the sun appear would devastate the world of the living,
The soul society is made of spirit particles so much stronger stuff it can handle the bakai
He had it stolen TWICE lol
How do you have all these colored pages 😮
Hearing British folks butcher Japanese is always funny
Love the vids tho
It's disappointing that he didn't do anything similar when his bankai was stolen in TYBW.
