Magic talks about Biotar 50/1.4. The bokeh monster mounted on Sony A7R III. Is this the most epic blur ever?

Such a cool lens! SO JEALOUS!
It is pretty amazing!
Love your hoodie bro!
That's a NAPSACK! And I love it too :D Thanks
awesome video! this lens is a wish list item for me but i do own the later CZJ pancolar 50/2 and im looking to scope out a CZJ biotar 58/2 this month! both of those lenses also give a great vintage image
Thanks! How is that pancolar? I got the Meyer Optik Gortliz new Biotar - will soon make a video on it!
I like the bokeh of your jacket.
I hunted down one of these lenses last year for my A7iii (I have since sold it since it wasn't getting much use). I agree with your thoughts on it entirely. It's produces very painterly looking portrait images quite unlike any other lens that I've used. But it's a one-trick pony that has borderline usable sharpness at 1.4
Yep! Exactly my thoughts although I decided to keep it so I can pull out some magical painting-like shots from time to time. Do you have any other old school lenses in your Arsenal?
@@MagicWeddingPhotographer Only a few left which I use for photos (Canon FL 55mm 1.2, Canon FD 50mm 1.4, Canon FL 35mm 2.5).
If you like rainbow flares from that Leica 50mm btw the Canon 135mm FL f/2.5 produces very similar flares but it's difficult to manual focus due to the focal length.
@@JamesClark1991 love it! What’s your Instagram?

✌️
You might be also interested to try Leica Summarit 50/1.5, it is pretty cheap and has interesting rendering. As for Biotar, if you like this design Helios are same design, Helios 44 and Helios 40 specifically interesting
i have helios 44m-4 , its f2 ,but still good, atleast i like it , it for my self
I'm the boss of the notification squad! 😎😜 Let's gooooooooo 🔥🔥🔥
Ciao Boss 🍕🇮🇹🤙🏻👌🏻
Good Video, as the lens is designated to be on a Original 16mm Motion Picture Camera called the Pentaflex for a 16 AK 16 Mount Not C mount as it was adapted for your camera, Clever to use these Well known Zeiss Jena lenses that I for my Praktina mount as I also adapted to use them on my Fuji Mirrorless models. Again Good video using simple logic. Thank You
flat bokeh is almost boring me now, that kind of lens make strong feelings about photography taked with it. This is why i try to shoot portrait session on my weddings with the Pentax 77ldt instead of classic 70-200 2.8.
I am almost afraid to ask how much you paid for this lens.
Haha it was not so bad - around 500usd
for a asecond i thought it was green screen edit
This bokeh is so sux, looks harsh...
