@@DavePortersArtVery thank you 😊
Enjoyed the video. Do you use a fixative to protect your chalk drawings?
Thanks for watching. I wrap them in glassine paper if I am storing them or if they are full portraits I wrap again for storage of frame them under glass and mount. 🙏
Thanks! @@DavePortersArt
I love your videos Dave! Do you do anything to protect yourself from pastel particles? I’ve just started using soft pastel for a few months and have developed a bit of a cough after working, wonder if you do anything special to prevent inhaling?
Hi Nicole... thank you for watching them. I am ellergic to dust... Pastelmat seems to be the solution... the pigment clings to it. Hardly any dust at all. 🙂🙏
I tried to subscribe but encountered problems with my credit card
Sorry to hear that Annie, Patreon deals with all that side of things, so not sure how to fix that for you. All the best🙏
Dave I have a question. I signed up for patreon page . How do I get on and off the page on google. I’m old and confused. And where can I ask stupid questions also.
Hi Raymond... thanks for joining Patreon... I have just sent you a welcome massage I send out to all new members which explains everything in there... all the very best 🙏
Dave I love your videos, I have one question. I can do a half assed work, it’s fine for me ,but. Do you use a fixative,I find the fixative always changes the value. Your work is perfect but without fixative I would hate to see it damaged. Same with my half work, after putting in all that time.
Hi Ray, I don't use fixative for that reason and it dulls the chroma... good thing about Pastelmat which is the surface I use the pastel clings to it so not so much dust. I wrap these studies and some whole paintings in glassine paper for storage or I frame some pieces under a mount and glass. 🙏
@@DavePortersArt Thank you for the answer,I also use Pastelmat and am very pleased with it. Thank you and now I can stop trying to fix the work . I have wasted a lot of time and effort to try to fixative. Again I love your work.
@@raymondambrosi5553 thrilled you love my work Raymond... means a lot to me. 🙏
