I bought the black stonewashed version for myself and the purple one for my wife. Great fifth pocket knife for me and EDC for my wife. Very nice little knife. Typical Civivi high quality and value.
The Baby Banter remains as one of my favorite small knives. I even added the wharncliffe version to my collection and I like that version even more. Both versions are still carried frequently.

I received mine on Saturday from WMK and I have to say this knife is a Winner IMO , at first I was not sure from seeing it in pictures that it looked too small , but the ergos are perfect and I have medium size hands , the choil makes a big difference , I have to say and I'm not knocking the Malea but in hand it fits way better and not awkward . Thanks for sharing
I got one of these for my mom and sister and they absolutely love them. They use them every day. I carry the Civivi Lumi and I’m getting another Baby Banter for myself to switch out my Lumi for a change
@@BeezBlades Not sure if it's a geographical restriction, or if that's just his carry philosophy. Judging by the design I'd say thats all he requires in an edc, and anything more would excess.
@@BeezBlades IIRC, he said that his brother lives in Chicago, which has a 2.5" restriction on blade length for the city proper. That was the driving force behind this knife in particular. Illinois is 3", but city laws supersede state laws in this case.

Great review and looks like a great knife. I don't think it will replace maileah for 5th pocket carry though. But I'll be adding it to the wishlist soon to have for the collection.
It definitely does not have the scare factor, which is a good thing since there are so many weirdo's out there that ask why you have a "weapon" when you open a box with a knife.

I would say, measure your hand at the same spots that I show my hand measurements in the video. I'm hoping that helps give an idea of what it may be size wise. It fits my hand comfortably.

Just got mine five minutes ago. The detent is non existing on this knife! Imma have to take it apart and dial the detent in! Other than that it’s great! Edit: I took it apart and fixed it. The detent just needed to be alittle tighter. Now it is! Just a great little knife!!
I do like this, but for where I live, it's just not worth it. For comepletely legal "without good reason" carry it has to be less than 3" blade AND non-locking. So if you end up going for a locker with reason to carry it, you may as well go for over 3" anyway. Its a bit of a shame as this is rather nice.

Then there was a court case where someone tried to be an idiot, and the precedent was handed down that a locking knife locked open was a fixed blade in the eyes of the law. When they updated the law, locking folders were explkicitly added to the "only with a good reason" list.

Great competitor to the Chaparral Lightweight if you like a little bit of fidget. I got blue for maximum non-threateningness.

Does it have a good spine for throwing sparks on a ferro rod?
It's not super sharp, but I don't think you would have any problems.
The black wash from Civivi on my button lock elemental rubs off. It also devolved some rust spots from cutting fruit. Thats there 14c steel though.
I think that's why a lot of people don't like the coatings. Yeah, fruit makes me nervous so I try to clean of my blade, but you can't always do that.
