I just want to say “ thank you” to all our customers that have been coming to Sun-Ray since 1963. They tell us that they’re bringing our pizza to Nevada or Texas, Vermont, Florida, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Kentucky, New York and many places in New Jersey. Our loyalists bring it to hospitals, nursing homes and a 90 year olds birthday party because that’s what they want. Remember Dean Martin’s song, “Fly me to the moon”? Sun-Ray Pizza is known for its Sicilian Pie, but we are also known as a Custom Made Shop. We make it the way you like it. Many of our first timers come because they tasted it somewhere else and wanted to know where this came from. Pretty good for getting started by an Immigrant that came over legally with a second grade education because he wanted to make life better for his family. My name is Angelo. I am the real deal, 100% Italian blood and as the label says “Made in Italy” When going to grammar school, I would walk to downtown Paterson to help my Dad. Started out making pizza boxes for a penny a box, and be sure that my Dad counted them, lol. He taught us to work hard, respect and to take care of your family. For us old schoolers, times have certainly changed . I’m sure there are many, many good pizzerias out there . For our customers that had the privilege of knowing my Dad , hearing him say “Hello Goomba” and “Enjoy the Best !” If Dean Martin was still alive he would change the lyrics to, “When the moon hits your eyes like a big pizza pie, go to Sun-Ray”. Grazia a tutte !

I like trying different spots when I'm different areas, to be transparent here, I love pizza, but I'm a big steak calzone guy. After a few orders and my requests on the following orders, it' got perfect after 3 phone calls. I'm still getting them from 5 years later. And his pizza is good, I'd give it a 7.1, and I lived in Philly for a while... Delaware now.

Sweet Sauce is a NJ thing. My local fave in Austin, TX is from Jersey and he has what he calls his "Signature Sauce". After a few years of offering this or that, he realized that 19 out of 20 Pies were ordered with sweet sauce and he dropped the other. Everybody knows the rules.
