Hello! I am Mario, I am 14 years old and I live in Italy, I lost my father at 6, I am happy that there are people who have experienced a pain similar to mine and who have had the strength to get up again, I have not yet happened , I'm here to tell you to continue and never give up, do it for me and your father. I salute you
Thank you so much for your time, lessons, advices and everything you do!Never had a dad nor someone to show all those things. I have learned so much from you, my RUclips dad! Happy New Year! 🙂
@@DadhowdoI Where I live, the low tonight Is in the negatives Fahrenheit, So I don't even have to think twice About whether this is useful advice. 😂🥶 Thanks again! 😃
You Sir are a Gem! This video from 2 years ago helped me to know how to use the cover today in this frigid cold freezing temperature, properly for the first time in life!! Sad reality, I am not a kid, never had anyone teach me or show me how it’s done! I didn’t loop the inside loop to the faucet and it kept flying off, now I GOT THIS because of your video!!! Keep putting out even the simple things some of us may never know to survive in life, not everyone have money to hire professionals for every little home repairs or money saving, energy saving tips!! How true so many children around the world even with father figure in their lives never have the learning you show them, or have the bond even if they have real fathers these days, and for those children who never had a dad or absent in their lives, you sir are the ultimate father figure they have through RUclips!! Thank you for offering your skills and life long lessons shared to children and anyone for free! I salute you Sir!!! Some chase after money or career or fame or women, but you take time to teach children of this world! It’s a beautiful and priceless gesture you are leaving behind as your legacy!!!!
Thank you so much, Dad. My dad aways thought I'd have a man to provide for me and do these things. I don't, so I am very thankful that you are here to stand in the gap. Thank you, Dad.
Thanks very much! My cancer doesn’t give me a lot of time left to do these chores. This will help to teach my wife how to do these things. Again, thanks very much! One less worry!
Thank you for this video! My dad passed away earlier this year and he always did everything and anything when it came to winterizing the house. So as it started to get colder I was kinda starting to freak out about having to do/learn everything that takes. And, I don’t know why, but for some reason I always thought this was like a hard thing to do… when actually the hardest part of it for me was just un screwing the hose as we have old hard hoses that need a lot of finagling 😂😂😂
Good one! pipe dream you say, if it makes you feel any better I took it hook, line and sinker. I would also wrap the faucet in plastic bags or old socks, rags etc. for extra protection.
I was actually just talking to my husband about this because we just moved to Springfield MO from SoCal and our this will be our first true winter. as first time home buyers, this is all new to us
I had no idea these things existed😅. I almost feel silly for not knowing about then sooner. I'm putting one on my outside faucet as soon as I can. As a new-er homeowner, I'm learning all kinds of things from your channel. Thank you!
My pops died when I had turned 4. My older brother was usually out with his friends and my mom was working multiple jobs. A lot of stuff I learned was by trial and error and eventually the early RUclips videos. I’m glad there’s someone on here that dedicates the time and effort to show us youngsters what a dad or even just a parent should be able to teach their child. So thank you for your time and effort. Much love 🙏💪
I have a father, and I am quite handy (I'm a general contractor) so so far I have not needed the advice you give, but I subscribed just because I love what you are doing and want you to benefit from the subscription. Keep up the good work!
Thanks internet Dad! I finally planted my garden yesterday but the hose spigots were all covered and I didn’t know how to uncover them. The landlord is out of town for a month and I wasn’t sure how I was going to keep it alive but your video showed me how the covers work and I was able to get access to the hose to water my plant babies 🙌🏽
Ugh just finished crying from stress/anxiety because my first child is due next month, I never had a father figure so I was feeling kind of lost. I don’t need to know how to cover a faucet but I just appreciated just hearing you talk.
im so glad i found this channel, because even tho i have a perfect relationship with my dad, he lives in another country so he isnt able to teach me all this stuff, i do live with people (mainly women) who have taught me a lot but there is some stuff they cant teach me that i learned right here on this channel (like shaving, for example) and im forever thankful for it.✨
Hey, thanks for teaching simple stuff for guys, who haven't been that Lucky to have father figurę to teach them all that. As in my country, we have indoor valves, which we turn off, and drain pipe that Goes outside. This will prevent from water freezing inside, SO no need for covers. And if someone needs cover, we use plastic bags and ziptie/rubber band.
Thank you so much for your video. I always wondered how these contraptions worked 🤔. Thanks to you I now know how. Love your soothing voice and calm demeanor. My dad was the opposite kinda scared me maybe that’s why I never really learned how to do anything with him. I’ll continue to look for more of your “how to” videos. Gosh, now time to wrap the sprinkler system thing. Thank you and a huge hug! 🤗🤔👏🏻👏🏻
I’m age 40 and my Dad died when I was 29. There are often times I wish he could still teach me something I don’t know. Your videos are invaluable to so many people, in all manner of circumstances. Thank you 🙏🙏😢
Glad I found this channel man. My dad just makes jewelry and more kids. While my stepdad never taught me outdoor things. So in a way this guy is the only "real" dad to me
You are a blessing! Thank you for doing this! I’ve forwarded your link to my boys ages 22 and 17. Your videos will come in handy. They lost their Dad to alcoholism 5 years ago and was neglectful to them for years prior to his passing. Thank you! God bless.
I never had fittings on the side of the house until we bought this place. First freeze of the year (doesn't get too cold normally) and now I know how to use these things! I'll go pick some up, thank you so much!!!
Thank you! I got 2 of the covers and no instructions. Your video really helped me know what to do! God bless you for taking the time to help so many of us! My dad has been gone since March of 2000. Thanks again!
Thank you so much. Very helpful, my Dad is a very busy person with his job, therefore your channel is really helpful. Thank you for spending your time giving to society your education and kindness. Very much appreciated.
Thank you for this. I bought a condo this past summer and needed the dad instruction. My dad passed away in September 2021, and he would have told me what to do to prepare for the cold weather.
I love my scrunchy hose! This is a good one... it seems like it's a no Brainer but I spent 15 min trying to take one off last year and broke it lol for the life of me I couldn't imagine where it was tied on to 🤣🤣🤣🤣 thank you! You're appreciated.
how did I never hear of this product before...I'm just turning off the water in the basement etc... but this protects even better from freezing pipes...Thanks :)))))))
Brilliant! That’s exactly the same model as I have. I just went and adjusted the gadget outside my bungalow. I realised I had it on at the wrong angle - it’s a different style to the other ones I’ve used. Thanks for all your encouraging videos. Great for us oldies too!
I just stumbled upon your channel and you are awesome! My husband passed away when our children were young and you cover some of the things he didn't have the chance to teach them and helps me too! Thank you!
Definitely worth buying . It will save you headaches when the temperatures go down to below freezing.. If you move from a warm climate to a cold one this information is invaluable.. Once again Great info Dad..
Another option, if you don't have a cover, is to turn off the water from the shut off valve inside the house, then open the outside spigot. That drains the water from the last couple feet inside to the faucet so nothing freezes.
Hey Dad, can you please do a video of things you need to check on in your house? HVAC, water heater, under the sink, the dryer vent., the attic, the septic fields (what are those anyway?) - these are all mysteries to me. What am I looking for/at? How often do I need to check these things? Thank you so so much you are a blessing.

I’m a single mom who NEEDS these videos. Thank you for sharing!!!
Thank you ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I had never before thought about an outdoor spigot having a covering,
So whether I needed the tutorial or not, the idea behind it was a good thing. 😃
It's for freezing weather so the pipes don't freeze and burst.

Came for the "Hey, kids!", stayed for the tutorial :)
Oh yeah as a new home owner who’s parents have never owned a home this is what I need.
RESPECT🥰
An added point...some have a shut off valve on the inside too. Wanna be sure to shut that off during the winter as well!
Hi Dad! Happy new year 🎊
