Little late on this one, but MT3 was designed by Matt3o, not MITO.
CXA sounds pretty nice. I'll probably pick up a set, although I'm not crazy about the legend font on the current sets.

Yeah I totally forgot about KAT! I’ve heard good things but never picked up a set myself. Maybe in part 2! :D

What’s the difference between PGA profile and MT3.? Looking for either that has a deeper groove or dimple on the top.

MT3 and SA are my personal two favorites. It's all preference of course.
I’ve been daily driving sa for a year, I love it, I think if you type with floating hands like I do, you avoid wrist strain and type better
That’s interesting! I definitely find myself resting my wrists in the table when I type, but I’ll try it out to see if it’s more comfortable with SA!
The reason why the CXA Keycaps sound that way is because they’re thick compared to most others being 1.8mm thick. Pretty awesome build quality.
Very interested in CXA. Hopefully, more colorways are made in this profile.
Seriously, it’s going to be so awesome!!! And because they’re double shot I’d imagine there won’t be any restrictions on colors like there are with dye sub!
what's the difference between these MSA and CSA? Is there some kind of height difference? Because I found keycap sets where they look exactly the same, the color, same legends but one says CSA and the other says MSA
Great vid, definitely put CXA on my radar! I personally run MDA keycaps on Gateron Milky Yellows right now, but I've had my eye on GK2, SA and ASA for a bit.

Nice! I couldn't get used to typing on SA, although it definitely THOCCS
MDA is very comfortable, I should probably do an updated version of the video because of the new GMK profile and such : P

My dude your tab is flipped! Not sure why this set has two r2 tab keys going in opposite directions, but yours is the "backspace oriented" one. You can see it at 5:28
Is it just me or is the print misaligned on the backspace key for the Melgeek keyset?

Any thoughts on making an SA spacebar sound less hollow? I added the kbd poron spacebar filler but it's still way too resonant...

I will usually put a bit of dynamat that I have left over but it is still pretty bad. I think based on what little I know of acoustics, it would have to be pretty full or pretty dense to make a difference!
Im late but, I added some masking tape to my SA spacebar 2 layers each to the walls and 2 layers at the floor inside the spacebar, and it sounds amazing.
I second what @lancel3933 says. A layer or two of tape completely changes the sound and makes it a million times better.
The ping of the q1 is kinda horrible tho

keycaps are really a matter of preference just like switches. what works for one may not necessarily work for another. i personally like the SA the best. however, because it is too wobbly, I have switched to the MT3 which is almost as tall but not wobbly at all IMO. Plus I like the scooped tops. Sadly, I have not been able to buy original SA keycaps in the color way I want. So I ended up with SA keycaps with flat tops instead of the spherical ones. Still hoping there will be an SA keycap in the color I want, will definitely go for it. Even the MT3 I have is not a very good color but I love it because of how it feels and how it sounds on my keyboard. Also hoping for more colors similar to vilebloom or hyperfuse.

It's funny that people think the cost of making a mold excuses charging $150 for plastic. They make that money back fast like EVERY OTHER CHEAP KEYBOARD THAT INCLUDES KEYCAPS. Every god damn plastic keyboard with plastic keycaps need molds.
I like the comparison but I wish you would've used a different board instead. The amount of ping heard on each test is just atrocious, it distracts from hearing the pure sound of each profile, especially the mods.
Totally agree, I forgot to edit in my remark that the q2 is a ping monster…. I’m planning a video where I try to mod it to remove the ping in the top case, which can’t really be fixed no matter how much foam is added… stay tuned!
How different are mda and xda?
theyre shaped like xda but sculpted/angled like cherry profile

They are both pretty thoccy in my opinion, but nothing thoccs quite like SA due to its taller profile :P

That case ping on his keychron is hilarious. Forgot how pingy the case is stock. Force break mod fixed that right up for me.
Btw, I'm sure you weren't marking the MDA profile down because of the quality of the particular set you had but it did come across that way. Might want to clear that up in the description maybe.

Which is your favorit profile now in 2024? Disregarding the noise, just the keycap profile that feels amazing to type on you just want to type forever?

It’s using dynamat which is a car acoustic treatment (your car probably has it from the factory in between door panels and such) made of butyl rubber!

I'm not sure what's going on but I've had a lot of people say that my videos are out of sync. Today I met up with a friend.. and we both played the same video on our iPhones, yet he had no audio of my voice and I did...

MDA is my favorite of these.
I just can't do MT3 or SA. Both the look and feel of the higher profile keycaps are disgusting to me.
