People would just change to drugs that were available like alcohol, or fentanyl .It is not the drugs, or supply of drugs that is the problem, it is that people are broken and in pain inside, and that's why people turn to drugs, but what they actually need is healing. Alcohol is freely and cheaply available in most countries, but most folk do not become alcoholics. I think if the US spent their money on healing the people with drug problems instead of spending it on stopping the supply of drugs, the drug problem would be a lot less than it is

Did you ever consider that the war on drugs served the exact purpose it was created for?

A very good documentary , although these people have found themselves in this miserable situation, they have found the strength and spirit to get on with it . You can see they are not essentially bad people , they have just fallen victim to desperation. Good luck to them all .

No, not sure how you made it through life to be sitting at a PC commenting, but one bad decision effects many other people. They are the scum of the earth.

5:13 I love how much trouble they went through censoring the "mystery substance", but clearly point out that it's a product of the coca plant xD

Maybe instead of focusing on “the war on drugs” they should focus on education and employment. Just a thought.

but the War on drugs is so lucrative and keeps the population in check.
No politicians would EVER want the War on drugs to end.
