Mulholland Riders Los Angeles - Map Link goo.gl/4V7s8u
This Park sign describes "the Snake"
"You are standing at the top of curves that road enthusiasts affectionately call "The Snake". Over the years Mulholland Highway has tested the merits of cars from Duesenbergs to Teslas. This particular stretch of road is a mecca for motorcyclists. It's sharp turns offer an adrenaline rush and a chance for fun, fame and often folly.
To your left is "Edwards Corner". It was named after the late Ed Savko, long-time owner of the Rock Store., a popular road house just down the hill. Hundreds of riders have (-----) on this challenging 180- degree curve, perhaps showing off for spectators, who often gather here. Other succumb safely to the charm of "The Snake." "
Thanks for watching! Авто/Мото
Note to newer riders...If you are on a winding and you notice people on the road side with cameras........SLOW DOWN!!!!..They dont want a picture of you looking cool....Unfortunately THEY ARE HOPING YOU CRASH!!!!!
Yes. Resist the urge to show off.
Burnrubber 33 lmfao
That should be posted at both ends of Mulholland drive.
Not always. Some photographers take photos of everyone then sell them to the riders. They do here in Aus anyway
note to jedi level riders still dont do the same thing because youl back it into a corner like a boss then you`ll see yourself on a youtube video labled "Rider Error Close Calls"
02:00 TCS, ABS, ESP, DTC, ETS, CIA, NBA, NFL
FBI, DEA, EPA, ATF...
laughing like a mf :D
KGB.. Lol😅
KKK

The new R1 one. Looks a lot like the electronics saved the day on that one.
op3l I think TC was introduced in 2012 for the R1
That one was hella awkward
op3l Yes it did. I would have eaten dirt for sure without it.
Glad you made it out unscathed, that's what them electronics are for. Cheers!
I was looking for this comment to like. I knew I wasn't the only one who thought that!!!
2:31 when your bike says street but your soul says dirt
lmfao!
Ghett Away The rider was like: omg my fucking balls!!!!!!!!
These guys would be in major trouble on a motocross track! 😆😂🤣
Yeehaaaaw!
🤣🤣🤣👍👍
That last guy definitely takes his bike off some sweet jumps.
I got that reference!
"I'm still gonna send it"
He's a regular Evel Knievel.
Too bad he doesn’t ride anymore! Would’ve been sick to learn something from him
issa sledgehammer
I'm sorry, but riding in a tee shirt & jeans gets no sympathy from me.
Especially if you are riding at your limit.
And riding in full leathers doesn't save lives
@ rider at 0:49 From a biker lying in a hospital bed please wear the proper gear bro especially if playing corners, take it from me u will absolutely suffer very painful injuries when u kiss n slide along tarmac even at relatively slow speeds
Did someone ask for your sympathy or were you just offering it? Also why do you think your sympathy is worth anything at all?
What about a pink mankini and angel wings?
0:45 - when you tell the guy at cyclegear that expensive tires are a scam
i don't understand what happened there, he was barely even turning in fact he was almost done coming out of a turn.
2:09 I think some computer wizardry saved him on that one
Totally. And it's kinda funny how the fairing shakes.
Was he braking hard?
@@leopritzkoleit2317 the way the forks are compressing it looks like he's braking hard but I'm not sure
Can someone explain to me how the electronics saved it?
@@Ridinglawnmower145 I probably won't be able to explain it well. Instead, google "lean angle traction control". There is only so much electronics can do to save a potential mistake but this video seems like electronics played a factor in saving the rider from his errors.
1:35 = Riding buddy goals
Grind ANB sliding like that into a turn is so goddamn fun!
CaliRider also useful to avoid a collision. Saved my ass once.
How can i do this ?
Rear brake or downshift ?
Watch Marquez, he does it almost every turn during hard braking. Thats how i learnt
Or buy 2017 Superduke and use Supermoto ABS...than just rear brake in the lean will do skidding :) supppperrr fun but if you overdue you can highside easy mode :)
Is ducati now into motocross?
60.000 Euro bike can everything....
It turned into a multistrada real quick lol
no ducati is worth 60k lol u got scammed
:-D
That one had me laughing the most, especially when seen in slow motion. Hey, he saved it though.
For months I've been filtering through terrible motorcycle channels in attempt to fill the void your videos have left inside my heart - my life makes sense again after seeing this fresh video ✌🏾
Keep up the quality content my man ~
boy if you don't getchooo
shameless plug, look at my terrible videos next time you need to fill a void!
hahah I like that
So glad you are one with God after viewing the video. We all feel better for having watched it ...oh praise the Lord!!!
i know some godd motobike channels for example max wrist or super bike racer
The last guy should have gone back and swept up those rocks
1:35 why close call? The guy did that on purpose and definitely knows how to ride
agreed! sexy, calculated, precision drift. "A" grade.
Backing it in like a boss haha!
agreed....that dude is just having some fun
Lo hacen los 2
Agreed, I feel like the camera guy doesn’t ride.
1:35 looked like a controlled slide to me
Absolutely! Reminiscent of Graeme Crosby on the Moriwaki Kawasaki. Bloke is clearly a hero in my book.
Just so people know that technique is widely referred to as "backing it in" and is used most prominently in Supermoto
Hey, the dude on the new R1 In slow-mo you can see the happy bike nod cause he saved it😂 look at the very front of the bike...
The bike saved it. cornering TC and anti-wheelie when he kept on the throttle while the bike was modulating it down. Bike gave a celebratory nod.
Hahaha! Nailed it xD
I caught that.
finally some new rnickeymouse videos :)
btw, 0:51 nice safety clothes
haha, exactly my thoughts. I hope next ride he'll get at least a jacket, so he can keep his elbows in case of a fall
typical T-shirt bike poser
i like how he wants to knee drag with his fucking jeans
Bad driver too
Zacapa Havana how is he a poser if he's actually riding a bike
That crossplane sound is heavenly
I love crossplane. There's a video u should look up, a guy used lights with a little sound to demonstrate crossplane. When the rpm was high, those little blip sounds start to sound just like an r1.
1:07 RIP balls
Hea Mees lmao
LMFAOOOOOOOOOOOOFF!! so true! I was laughin so HARD, when I saw this again, in slow mo. Good "catch" my'man!
Hea Mees 2:46 man that's the nut shot
That turn is cursed
😂🤣
That aerial shot at the end was beautiful. I always wondered what that corner looked like.
When you start sliding & feel it’s getting out of control, you must do the counterintuitive thing & *NOT* suddenly reduce the throttle.
It’s simple laws of motion in physics - the sudden reduction of power to the rear wheel puts sudden traction to the rear tire & the lean angle, combined with the front wheel turning angle will absolutely cause high siding - observe the right wrist action of the riders who responded with the instantaneous panic, the cause & effect is perfectly demonstrated.
If you ever rode in the dirt or motocross, you’d totally get it.
It puts more traction on the front wheel, the weight shifts forward and overloads the front tire, throttle keeps the weight over the rear. You can see the guy let go of the throttle because he probably got too scared of the speed
When in doubt, gas it out
MeltingRubberZ28 - exactly! Just getting crossed up in the dirt😎
MeltingRubberZ28 In Australia .. When in doubt, power out ! :-)
That first guy impressed me. He didn't chop the throttle when it started going wrong
Me and my nephew love watching your vids and laughing, thanks! Haven't watched in a while, see you've upgraded your camera. Keep up the good work!
Right on Rnickey. Nice to see close calls. That turn man! Have fun in this horrible heat. Bring lots of water!
Good to have you back. Thanks Rnickey.
That indentation on the sides of your tank is for your legs to grip you to the bike so you don’t fly off 😂
A dead give-away of an amateur rider who's bound to fuck up at some point is that they're not wearing riding gear. This is for two reasons:
- Since they're not wearing riding gear, it means they only learn to avoid fuck-ups by experiencing them first, because if they'd be smart enough to learn the easy way, they would be smart enough to wear riding gear.
- Since they're not wearing riding gear, it means they haven't fucked up yet, because they'd definitely wear riding gear after that.
im got my license 5 months ago and i dont use any gear and i didint fucked up yet, and never will, gear is for pussies
You just proved my point. Enjoy the roadrash you'll get in the near future.
i wont get any, dont u worry about that
Pride comes before the fall
For your sake I hope you don't get road rash honestly, but it would be wise to listen to advice those who have been riding for longer than 5 months. I for one am glad I listened and got gear, I'd likely have skin grafts and broken bones if it weren't for the advice of more experienced friends
I could sit and watch your videos all day and night RNickeyMouse 💯 post more please 🙏🏻
Such a great video! Couldn't stop watching the slow motion shots and the many near mess ups. Nice saves on behalf of those riders though.
He had a good reflect for not pulling the front brakes 👏🏽👏🏽
1:05 He can immediately transition from street riding to motocross style in a split second. Amazing!
Very pretty video. And a lot of motoring lessons to be learned from this. Fantastic video, beautiful, well edited, and very educational.
That double drift was beautiful almost brought a tear to may eye😍
If anyone knows how to truly ride, it's a squid in a t-shirt with a backpack on 😂
A true bell end !!!
Did you see the Helmet, looked about 30 years old.......32 now lol.
That Ducati though LOL
Scared to keep up
He used front brake, so the bike stood up
In my experience in nearly 40 years riding all kinds of bikes and scooters, time on a dirtbike let’s you be in more control and not panicked in extreme situations.
0:47 gotta love those kevlar t-shirts!
that duke was no rider error, thats just having fun :D
Did they end up removing the sign post at 2:52 as it doesn't seem to be in other videos of this same compilation?
nice microphone, when it rains I listen to this video, really relaxing
Drone footage was amazing!
1:34 - not really a close call, just a crazy dude backing it in 😂
How exactly do they do it?
downshift and drop clutch while countersteering
rear brake lol, if they dropped the clutch it would have just made the back wheel chatter
Two wiiiild and crazy guys.
Well only drop it if you have a slipper clutch. Otherwise modulating it is the safer option lol.
Government: It is illegal to go over the speed limit or drive wreckless
Motorcyclists: hold this gopro
EMT personnel: Finally got some work to do
As always, your vids ROCK
im glad to see people keeping rubber side down that road sighn that says no parking has been placed to kill ive seen it hit in other videos thanks for new footy
Some of these bikes need the suspension to be tuned better, one I noticed the rebound looked scary fast. Looks like there loading up going into the corner and unloading mid way. Add some more compression and dial out some of the rebound
Where can I buy the safety t-shirt?
0:32- What a kind man!
He has careful consideration :)
And quick response...
he's just a shitty driver.
God damn that's some good audio! Nice freaking job! I can actually hear it echo
2:40 when you try do drag your knee...and maybe even elbow...that you actually forget to turn xD
The guy in the R1 trying to look cool. Knee almost touches the ground, but he isn’t even hanging.
Love the videos man.
That last guy on a Ducati seems to be an awesome rider
The problem is: go running on a track is too expensive. 🤷♂️
Training shows you the bike will do what it does - it usually will straighten out if you keep calm, give or take a little power or hold on.
The only weight transfer on the back is from acceleration and you’ll notice it slides when they transfer weight back on the (load) front.
Everyone comments on the video quality and camera work, but your audio quality is also outrageously good.
Tks for another great video. we miss you. You really make great and funny videos. You can do a 20 minutes video and I see all.
Why R1 heads bouncing like that 😂
Chalvin Afaiz I noticed that too lol
Probably because things flex.
Chalvin Afaiz Can't handle the HP😂
Traction control
Happy because it didn't end up sliding on concrete.
That jumping Panigale seems familiar, wasn't that on this channel before?
its a popular jump...i think it was a blue Yamaha the last time...i would have remembered a Ducati
Bwahaha... its a popular jump! Lmfao
Mr. Panigale can also be seen in the May 2017 video in the 8th minute, getting a little out of shape in a corner.
“Jumping Panigale” 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
love your new camera! I'm guessing because the quality is legitness lol also the footage
The R1 sounds so freaking insane with that crossplane crank!!
It's amazing how the temptation to speed around the bends exceeds all attempts of self preservation. I think it more about stupidity than big balls.
sounds like something someone with small nuts would say
2:33 That is a supercross? XD
Nice captures and closing shot Ken
Putting your foot down is a natural reaction. Glad he recovered.
Here in the Swiss alps, I've watched thousands and thousands of motorcycle riders go around crazy tight turns.. And never one seen an accident. In fact, motorcycle accidents are rare here considering almost everyone has a motorcycle. The difference is: we learn first motorcycle riding theory(the right way, not the American way)
Then we go with a certified instructor on the streets.. Then we have a motorcycle test which is quite demanding. Only qualified riders on the streets here! These guys that you see in these videos would not last a few hours here before they cause an accident, and that simply because their lines through the curves are ass backwards!
While I'd agree that Europeon motorcycle licensing is far more difficult, that doesn't mean that everyone in this video or in this country would instantly cause accidents. All of this video takes place in Malibu California on one the most technically difficult roads I've ever ridden in 15+ years of riding. Not everyone is Colin Edwards, but you'd be hard pressed to find a faster group of people than the riders on this road at any given time.
@@enut23 yeah, if they rode those cornering lines here.. They would crash into a tractor on a left curve.. And into a bicycle rider on the right curves. Within a few hours. We have to ride totally different lines because our roads are so twisted and narrow. This road in Malibu is comparable to our highways in some parts, so for us this is a very easy normal every day curve we have on our way to work.
It is sad that nobody rides the safest lines for cornering in America.. Not even the motorcycle instructors teach them, because they don't know them.. Because they are not on the same level as Swiss riders. It's a shame...
Talk all the shit y'all want, black dude on the black bike got pretty fucking low for a bad rider lol
Pretty decent save too.
the scenery at the end is beautiful
Das ist mal ein echt gelungenes Video,Kamera Perspektiven sind eeecht gut
Rodeo on a R1 ^^
RIP 15 mphr board
Wow that looks like a cool place to watch those bikes take the curves.
Rnickey!!!!!!!!!welcome back
2:41 damn this bike is so beautiful
Κάνει και χαμηλές πτήσεις...
The r1, and panigale was really hot
GO2RUPTOR Panigale?
C Brooks
Oh shit i didn't see xd
Thanks
wow that last drone shot is beautiful
Hey man! What videos of yours contain 2 stroke motorcycles? Love your content!
They often say, where you look is where your bike will go. Well I was riding once and Looked into this really attractive females vehicle and I didn't end up there. Lies! All lies. Where you guide the bike is where it will go.
Aye up m8 , I'm from Yorkshire and it's. Called target fixation , you see it on track days all the time lol .
That suit at 2:10 👍🔥‼️ #alpinestars
Epic view of the snake! thanks RNickyMouse
I love your vids.
That's why I stick with my Z125 ;}
Lol
Silly squids
RubberGently Hahaha. Only the sane/smart will understand the shame
Calamari race team
well, it is a fun place to ride, actually, anywhere around those mountains are a fum place to ride, unless you can't avoid the ditches in some parts.
take time to learn the definition of the word "Squid".
actual conversation of the first rider:
Let's go carve some corners.
"Okay, let me put my t-shirt on"
Last one was funny with the slow mo of his jump!
Can someone explain to me what the guy on the black r6 did wrong?
fdsafs grgsdg tank slapper
I mean what caused him to lose control. Like did he not give enough throttle or something?
First off gear. But looks like his body position. If the rider came off his seat a bit the bike would not be leaned over as much giving him more tire.
fdsafs grgsdg I took 20 hours of basic training with PRS in Vancouver BC. You need to find something similar in your area and gain experience. Stop looking for advice on fuckin RUclips, AND DO NOT LEAN PFF YOUR BIKE MORE, A STRAIGHT BACK IS THE SAFEST POSITION, MOTOGP RIDERS DO THAT SHIT FOR FUN
They hang off to be able to keep the bike upright more, giving the tire a larger contact patch and more grip as a result.
Why the rider at 2:00 close and open the gas for 3 times? Is that a way to avoid the highside?
Traction control kicked in.
It was traction control. The rider him self confirmed it.
Yall say traction control, but in the slow mo you can literally see his hand jerkin, it was just him getting bucked causing the open close, Only way to save a high side is to keep the throttle open until you straighten out so it doesn't hook up @Twist The Throttle. The rest of the time its usually luck.
I doubt that it was traction control. Rider was prob just shocked and blames it. Watch the slow motion. He closes the throttle when his rear tire starts to slip. He then applies throttle and stops leaning in order to gain traction. He then keeps cutting the throttle and leaning. He repeats the same mistake due to choppy throttle control.
trying to kill himself...notice the first blip after he almost went down caused the front tire to wash out and then he did it again after and almost went down again so yeah he learned what not to do that time...you cant save yourself in a car, truck or bike with the gas unless you are trying to get away from a bear
That inline 4 cross plain crankshaft Yamaha in the beginning. Reminds me of the MotoGp Yamaha M1
there's a patch of slick tarmac there near where the photographers are waiting - cos you see the same issue over & over when the riders are doing nothing wrong but the back starts to come round on them - that can only be cold tyres (unlikely) or cheap tyres (unlikely) or not enough grip from the blacktop - because you can hear that they are on a steady throttle yet the back comes round.
Not a sign of law enforcement means good fun!
Ya. Honestly, when you can ride within your own certain ability without impunity, you ride better than if you did with fear.
@@NicksSkillz you mean *with* impunity
Study after study have shown that leathers are not needed. They embed themselves in the wound wrecking havoc and infection. You are FAR better of bare skinned. Raw flesh allows you to slide with less friction while simultaneous debriding the wound.
You are out of your fucking mind. I have seen guys walk away from 140 mph wrecks that would have killed naked riders. Google "Road rash Queen" and get back to me .
Yes, I read that study, really interesting stuff, always thought you needed protective gear but looks like its all marketing.
LMAO "debriding" - the removal of unhealthy tissue from a wound.
Said tissue which had been healthy and having only a millisecond before the debridement become unhealthy because it wasn't protected.
I believe the accurate term is "degloving" - tissue being ripped from the body because it wasn't protected.
The agony of degloving being followed by the excruciating torture when the ER doc must remove all the tiny bits of gravel out of what's left of your flesh.
Yeah, that sounds much better then the incredibly unlikely event that particles of your gear will end up embedded in your skin causing minor and easily addressed irritation.
But hey, all those road rash scars will make you look really cool when you get to tell the story about how you were too stupid to wear proper protection.
That is just wrong. You need leathers and armor. Marc Marquez crashes his bike all the time at very high speeds and never gets a scratch.
Wow, I cannot believe how many people actually fell for that post. We are doomed, society is truly getting dumber.
Did you upgrade camera or still using the Sony one? The quality still magnificent no blurs stayed focus at all times.
Man... I almost pooped my pants watching these guys. Fearless riders... and some without gear! Wow!
One word: 9/11.
those are numbers
Dolphins101 not a word but yeah, it was an inside job/false flag attack. Now back to the motorcycle video..
i have never drove a motorcycle but on a bike this is scary
your life flashes before ur eyes..
WOW! some good catches and close calls.
I've found that anytime squirliness comes just pull in that clutch and try to save with brakes and body weight, last thing you want is momentum flinging you around while your hand is gripped to an engaged throttle.
And power brake if you are still in most of the control
Living on the edge driving like nothing matters but to be super star in your mind and escape death or serious injury. Got a buddy who in his early 20s wiped out on mountain road with dirt bike and nearly died. He's in his 60s now and says he wakes everyday with pain makes him wish he was dead. Made him miss out on so much because he was stupid. See to many of them today and they think they'll beat the odds. The house is rigged against you. Know another man who lost his leg and that's forever. Everything has to be automatic or a 3 wheeler never be the same. The road wins the body loses the most. Wake up and feel the wind not the pain.
The kid with no gear was about to have a FUCKED UP DAY
Incredible sounding bike in the first clip
The headshake of that Ducati rider, know that feel.
