I have the s6 edge plus, fantastic phone I even prefer over the s7 edge, there's some rumours it could get Oreo, if this is true I'll keep it at least for another year

Ramo Mentalac S6 has a much better screen. But if you can live with the battery life or find any creative ways to upgrade or change the battery then I would say the s6. But note that you won't get the latest updates if you are in to those stuff.
Swap out the battery with a s7 edge battery. It's 3600mah and fits, look into it.

There's most likely a problem on your s6 fingerprint. My friend has an s6 and it still works great.

My fingerprint scanner works. I would not switch to the s7 unless I had problems with the s6 and I have none my phone works great

Alexander Ragos Try getting the s7 or galaxy a8. But if you are getting the s6 for a cheap price you should replace the battery first.

S8 mic is equally as good I would say. Which app do you use to record audio on S8? the built in voice memo app?
In S8 yes the built in voice rec app. But with the lav mic I used rec forge 2.
