- Tetbury is a historic market town in Gloucestershire, Cotswolds - England, with a rich history dating back to the medieval period.
Tetbury with over 1300 years of recorded history lies on the site of an ancient hill fort, on which an Anglo-Saxon monastery was founded, probably by Ine of Wessex in 681. The centre has many fine stone buildings in various styles indicating the architectural fashions of the last 400 years.
In the 1980s His Royal Highness Prince Charles, the Prince of Wales, bought the nearby Highgrove Estate.
The centre of Tetbury has remained largely unchanged since the 16th and 17th centuries when the town was at the height of prosperity as a major wool town.

Thabk You, Kevin. I''ve always known my surname is thoroughly English. Only in my old age, 83, have I finally learned just how English it is. Thanks to the internet, we've traced it to the mid 1400s. And some of them were knighted. You've no idea how much it mens to "visit" the country of my roots. BTW, 8x and 9x great grands on Mother's side arrived on the Mayflower.

i hope you enjoyed it. it’s always been busy to my knowledge. Especially on a Wednesday and Saturday when people goes to market for fresh fruit and vegetables plants etc.
At around 1443 I believe the street has zig zag lines ..what does that mean for driving traffic ,, ? Love ur walking vids .. from canada
It means you are near a crossing and a warning to look out for pedestrians. Also, no overtaking or parking allowed.

Un mio amico camionista, si è trovato a portare da Genova un carico di olio di olive a stockton on Trent, e poi nelle campagne limitrofe, si aspettava che le offrissero del vino, invece..... Gli hanno offerto del sidro "Cider", o, anche "Apple wine" 2 litri una sbronza pazzesca.
La campagna inglese somiglia alla campagna di certe zone del nord Italia, la "" Valle Padana"" solo che in Italia c 'è le vigne, in Inghilterra no', in Inghilterra c 'è campi d orzo e meleti, e Nell osteria del paese non c'è il vino ma, c'è birra, sidro e idromele, oltre al Whisky, e Al GIN
There certainly are vineyards in the UK, producing some lovely wines (our sparkling whites are particularly good).
But in any case, every supermarket, grocery store, pub, bar, restaurant etc will have a selection of world wines.
