Such a beautiful and unique display and presentation!! I'm trying to teach my grandchildren and greats to appreciate the "old" things and to love them as much as I do And my children do.

Heavens, mending was something I taught my daughter in theb1980s, before her teens. Perhaps that was unusual but when I was a child in the 50s/60s, almost all girls learned to darn. Clothing in post war Britain and Rope was not something to wear for a season and then throw away. Mending was an essential skill. We all learned it.
I'm watching this for the fifth time as I learn something new every time..,I long to see your book come up for sale.

I’ve seen lace fabric before...for humans...it’s truly extraordinary. I taught myself French sewing if that type many years ago..it required great patience and care.

    These ladies are beautiful.
Were these the dolls used to show salesman samples?
I read years ago that the sales men would show the fashions to the aristocracy and, the dolls would be the models for the dresses and, the ladies would order their clothing that way.
Oh to have one of these to love.
Thank you for sharing these beautiful ladies.
