I have two GBA800-xx watches, I need to replace the batteries in both (purchased same time) but I won't be keeping them when I do. I'll be getting different models with solar charging. But thanks for the video!
On G-Shocks generally I believe the correct screwdriver to use would be a JIS rather than a philips, but I am not sure about this. Philips will work but IIRC the fit isn't quite as good. Just FYI. The video was helpful, thanks. I need to check all of my watches of this type (all my non-solar MIP G-Shocks). You could also re-grease the o ring. You can buy little tubs from Cousins UK that will put just the right amount of grease on the o ring.
If the battery gets changed, must you pair it again with Bluetooth and does it lose all the settings that you put in originally? As an aside I got the black version and the lack of extra words and font on the screen makes it very stealthy.
I've been researching this model and from what I've seen only the step counter gets reset. All other settings stay saved. Do you currently own this one?
Had mine for 4 years Changing battery is easy Battery lasts a little more than 2.5 years considering I only used the bluetooth function for about a month since I really don't need it and turned it off for the rest Changing battery doesn't compromise the water resistance
@@nandpatel9888 get the Allen keys that is suggested in the video to remove the straps. You may also want to get watch repair tool kit. Both available on Ali Express.
No Bluetooth connectivity or MIP display for you then? Most likely no MB6 if you live in NA either, as Trump has said he's going to shut down the atomic clock tower in Ft. Collins.
@@traviswalker8933 you know how it is, there's always something missing. after all, it's their business model to release a lot of watches that are imperfect so you'll be buying more
@@traviswalker8933 It seems my initial response got somewhere else. I mean, there's always something missing in a watch, so you return for more, it's a crucial part of that market. Or, in my case, I wait up till they fulfill my wish of solar no-bluetooth with a multifunctional timer, like in this one ,or even simple auto-repeat. And further on, an MIP in a classic square. So you see where I go with this... never no satisfaction.
I have two gbx100 the batteries are dead after two years, rubber gasket wont fit back in correctly like its too big. I now believe it is pointless getting a gshock that isnt tough solar because the whole point of a gshock is a tough water resistant watch, opening it every 2 years weakens it and completely defeats the point
Why they didn't make this tough solar i don't know

Can you suggest me a tool kit for this watch to open

I have 6 casios but they are all solar with MB6. Don't have to do this ever and i am glad about it. 😅

Me sorprende q lleve la 2032 .. es la mas comun de las baterias ! La uso en los mandos del coche y en muchas cosas mas
Thats still water resistant after changing the batteries?
@@kusinaadventures yes
My main question too. I'd be hesitant to go swimming with it after cracking the case back... especially after only 2 years or less.
instructions unclear now my watch has become Omnitrix.
That's why I won't get one. What's the point? Waiting for tough solar OR battery life longer than 5 years min.
Not going to happen
My 1 year old GBD-200 has still 3.024V battery
If only they've made them solar
You have the GBD-H2000 for that.
@traviswalker8933 too big! also no reason for these to not have solar, and they are not cheap, too
@@OverCowboy not every G-Shock is meant to have solar. There are options for solar powered Gs anyway.

Três anos de duração de bateria, isso é um smartwatch que pode ser considerado como relogio para uso.
@2:45 I can see the rubber gasket outside of the watch! Who did the first battery charge is a doofus!💩💩😂😂
I caught that too! I wonder what happened? Very dangerous.
I saw this too and wanted to write that down but you were faster.

We're all waiting for a MIP G-Shock with tough solar. Please Casio make it happen.
