Tip - if you have a model with the control panel at the TOP of the door instead of the front (mine was LDT5678ST) you need to remove all 6 screws running the length of the door outside the gasket (which will release the front and inner metal panels, have a set of hands to catch the front!). This stumped me for a few mins. After realizing that, easy repair!

Thank you so much for this great video! We have a LDP7708ST and have to pull up on the handle and kind of push in the door for it to start. I pulled out the dishwasher and did the continuity test and it did beep on both sides when the door closes so the test passed. I plugged it back in and now it's acting worse than prior. It's stopping midway through a cycle. Prior it would stop right at the beginning, but now it's stopping after running a hour. It beeps and than flashes the time remaining.

When turning on all its lights, it starts blinking at the same time and the device beeps and no program is running, or if it is running, it turns off after a while and the device almost freezes. How do I remove the handle from the old control panel and the control panel on the far right? I'm afraid if I force the handle out it will break. Likewise the square circuit board on the right hand side is wedged in place. I'm a tad disappointed that this wasn't covered.

I'm having issues with my LG ldf5678ss dishwasher. I'm not sure if it's the drain pump or control panel that's causing an issue with it draining. Sometimes it drains, sometimes it doesn't, and sometimes the dishwasher stops mid cycle and there's a ton of water inside. But I can always drain it by holding the start button for 3 seconds, except those few times in winter where I thought the lines were frozen. Some of the control panel's led lights aren't lit up, and one time during a quick wash cycle, all of the control lights began flashing faster and faster and the dishwasher just shut off with 17 minutes left in the cycle. I opened it up, and there was a ton of water inside, but I was able to manually drain it and start another cycle without a problem. Could a bad control panel be causing these issues? Sometimes we have to touch the buttons multiple times to get it to work too.

The repair technician came by and diagnosed it as a "Bad U.I."
I'm assuming bad User Interface is what he meant.
Anyways, I bought the unit brand new in November 2018. User Manual for LG says control panel is warrantied for 5 years. The repair tech says "No" that the UI is NOT covered under warranty.
