Some clarification on kyokushin:
1. Orange is usually the first or second belt right after white belt. So karate girl here is very likely a beginner. (My own dojo's belt order is exactly as you described, white-blue-yellow-orange, but that's not common.)
2. Scoring: these are the rules I'm used to, maybe not universal in kyokushin: The first round is almost always scored a draw, even if one fighter is generally controlling the fight, unless somebody scores a proper knockdown. There's some details to this, but in general, if a 1st round doesn't feature a knockdown or KO (or, in lower levels, a solid headkick regardless of if it results in a knockdown), even if it's clear somebody is better, it's usually considerrd a draw.
The second round is supposed to work similarly, and a decision is supposed to be made after the third. But at lower levels, often times the officials will choose not to drag things out past the second round and to just give a decision to the person who is doing better instead of moving on to the third.
3. Maybe not relevant here, but highest level kyokushin often offers very few weight classes, so size discrepancies can be more common than in other fight sports. And low level kyokushin often doesn't involve weigh ins at all, just arbitrary eyeballing to match people up, sometimes really badly. Therefore this matchup, although definitely unfair size-wise, isn't totally unrealistic 😅
Idk why, esp. as there are so many Japanese fighters in the sport who are smaller, and as a bantamweight in a sport that rarely has classes below lightweight, it makes me sad lol
Great details
He doesn’t know anything about karate
Two white belts 😄
I got the same sensation of reality watching Virtua Fighter from 90's console Play Station.
sounded like you said "cute cushion people" i love it
XDDD
This should be a shirt for female kyokushin practitioners. It'll sell like hotcakes!
The video we were mentioning in the end should be in the video description and in video cards. Also, Bon Bon's channel is liked in the description. 泰拳辣个bonbon,有时间我们做个采访! 你在西方有很多粉丝!
We all agree this is a super low contact fight, right?
Whats wrong with light contact sparring ..
In Europe this is how you learn to sparr
Especially if your going into full contact
Full contact sparring isnt effective
At all
Its a fallacy
Its cool if ur experienced in years of sparring
but if your new to sparring you have so much to learn in general
In Thailand hard sparring in 90%of clubs
Is not allowed .
Only light sparring
They fight for money
Dont understand hatd sparring
It dont prepare you for a real fight at all.
Can make you into a walking punch bag
I started Muay Thai at 57 and don't plan to ever fight for real real. Only light sparring.@@nicholasgreen339
@@nicholasgreen339 Don't you need a mix though?
I totally agree that hard sparring is overrated but I think it's good for learning to deal with the stress of the danger.
MT girl definitely has more sparring practice under belt than the Kyokushin girl (orange belt equates to around 1~2 years of training. It normally goes White -> Orange or White -> Yellow -> Orange, depending on the school). I was impressed by the MT girl's distance control and usage of both orthodox/southpaw stances. Her punching technique was also very clean, though you can tell that she is not used to having to aim for the body only.
Is this in taipei?
Orange belt is just after white. She did pretty well for an orange belt.
Adorable
Does BonBon have her own channel?
Yes, linked in description and end card.
@@FightCommentary Thanks 👍🏽
Kyokushin did well and outperformed Muay Thai Girl. I can tell she was doing exactly as she was taught, which shows her level of understanding the techniques. With time will come the understanding of timing, distance awareness, power, strength, strategy, etc. But overall she did greiat 💪🏽 Also, i want to add, this is great and much needed experience for a beginner!
Great match from 2 novices
Imagine them in a few years time
They doing whats meant to be done
Pressure testing from tbe get go.
Some clubs only let you sparr until
after 4 years of training..
.very odd.
And dont put u into competiton either. .
Also odd.
I dont see anything wrong with this sparring at all
They dont train full time either
Lol
And they were impressive
Kept control
I bet they were nervous knowing it was getting filmed.
We see pro fighters. At the end
Finished product
But never the blank canvas
no punches to the face because they dont have head gear. not even mouthguards i think
I do kyokushin i know how to punch 😔
Same lol
What the hell did I just watch! They looked like they were just playing!!
Do some aikido style wrist grab escape tests
They are legit, but kinda situational as (for most of them) whoever is grabbing you cannot be in a neutral, balanced position. That is because most Aikido techniques exploit your opponent's movement and many of them expect the opponent to not expect the move or to be used in combination with another one (just like every other martial art. I can't just tell you "I'm going to throw a jab at you" and then say that boxing does not work when you avoid it)
@@jestfullgremblim8002 see Rokas videos with his wife throwing punches at him and not knowing how she's supposed to react when techniques are done to her and how when even an untrained uke doesn't know how to be compliant the tech won't work. Also aikiders don't know how to punch well so the wrist do be hanging out there for moves.
Not to say that Rokas is the only Aikido source to look into but he's the only one I know to have tested anything in a For Realz direction
The wrist grab thing in Aikido is for weapon defense. I.e. to defend your weapon from being grabbed or defend an attempt to keep you from drawing your weapon. They make a lot more sense in that context.
I never had a problem with untrained ukes not going where I wanted them to go using wrist locks when I worked in a hospital and regularly fought psych patients. Where I had problems was turning them over onto their stomach after the wristlock takedown for the traditional pin/handcuffing. I ended up using either non standard Aikido situational stuff or grappling.
Ikkyo worked very well and put them in a perfect position to be handcuffed afterwards.
@@Aikibiker1 Why do the wrist defense videos from their own libraries never show weapons? Also look up Mike Tyson aikido it's funny.
I would like to test their submission skills especially the muay Thai chick, she probably has a good leg triangle...
She did some stuff with BJJ people. I’ll look for those.

she is an orange belt bro chill out lmfao
@@cahallo5964for real, he needs to chill.
Lol Kyokushin isnt even 60 years old lol
Shotokan is only 100 years old
Kyokushin is based on k1 kickboxing and shotokan
And k1 kickboxing is based on muay thai and karate
Which created Japanese kickboxing
Wich went to the usa
Merged with what was being taugt in the usa
bcame
American kickboxing
Came to europe
In England it merged with lau gar kung fu karate judo Taekwondo
Also went to Holland
Merged with
Dutch boxing karate judo
Taekwondo
And created 3 styles
Dutch kickboxing
Dutch k1 kickboxing
Dutch muay thai
The founders of Kyokushin woud not be upset at all
They were into developing people's ability
Kyokushin and shotokan r not traditional karate either
Tbey r Japanese styles
Traditional karate is from Okinawa
And Okinawn were taught it by chinese martial arts masters
In some parts of china they still do karate katas
Thats where karate comes from
@@nicholasgreen339 Only your first 2 sentences are correct the rest is all wrong

Aight. that's enough anime for you, mister.

Was that a pillow fight? Oh no a pillow fight would have been more brutal.
