Personally my list for mainline is 1. Royal 2. Reload 3. 2 Duology 4. Golden 5. Revelations Might be because I like P5 so much, but I really don't like P4 all that much no matter how many times I play it, I think it's dungeon structure just gets me
For me its 1:Persona 3- i just really find myself replaying and crying, the story is perfect and i really like the concept of the dark hour 2:Persona 5 royal-im still playing it but im really enjoying the game, until know i liked the story and when you reach the sae’s casino the story becomes perfect.(currently im going in the depth of mementos soo i dont know about 3rd semester.) 3:Persona 4 golden-im just not a fan of the style they went with and somehow i prefer tartarus then the p4 dungeons. Its still a very solid game and i think a remake would make me apreciate it.
My list (obs: didn't played Reload or 5 Royal) 1. Persona 2 Eternal Punishment PSP 2. Persona 4 Golden 3. Persona 2 Innocent Sin PSP 4. Persona 3 FES (only with specific mods) 5. Persona 3 Portable 6. Persona 1 PSP (I like this game, but it has the worst gameplay. At least I love the musics from the PS1 and PSP, graphics, main cast, some other characters, villains and the lore. The manga of Persona 1 is worth it)
My personal list for having only played p3r,p4g,p5r: P5 Royal: This game was just a blast. It has the best game play out of the 3 games and the characters are all great (expect you Mishima). It has also the best concept of the "Dungeon crawling" aka the palaces. P4 Golden: I still havent finished the game yet (I am where we found the REAL killer and their dungeon) the game grew on me like never. I hated this game but the more I played the more I enjoyed it. The characters are all made in heaven and the story is super cool. The dungeons are good but really old. It gets repetitive but not like Tartarus so it's ok. P3 Reload: Incredible game even if it is my least favourite. The story is the best our of all the games and the characters are all good (I love you Junpei iori). The dark hour is the coolest thing ever but unfortunately Tartarus felt like it was to much repetitive. I lile that the ost for Tartarus changes the more you go up but just going in Tartarus the last day, climbing, climbing, climbing is not really my thing.
Persona 4 is even worse regarding corridors because at least tartarus commits to being a randomized dungeon thats a constant upwards trek To me p4 is just this awkward middle between 3 random dungeons and 5 themed dungeons. Just pick one side. If they do a reload remake of 4 they need to make the dungeons like a p5 palace, thats the biggest way they could improve it
@@JMulls To me tartarus is too intrinsically linked to the plot and identity of persona 3 so even if you don't like it I think anyone can agree that they made the right decision keeping it loyal to the original. But p4 tv dungeons feel like they could benefit from being fleshed out and no one would complain
P3 reload is my favorite and it’s the last one I played ,I’ve only played both versions of p5 p4g and p3R but out of them I’d say p5 r has the best gameplay easily but the story and Links in 3 are just so great to me a standout it the character of aigis which I feel is the best non protagonist character in the series
I enjoyed Royal and I am enjoying Reload for what it builds on FES, but I have to agree that Golden is above both. Edit: Specifically because I like the setting and characters the most and I think it does the smoothest job of integrating new content and characters compared to Royal which seemed to mostly tack it on the end and leave the vast bulk of the game untouched. (Reload is out of the running for me because, while I really like it and FES was my first Person game, I liked the story and characters of 4 more. So it might have a chance for the number 2 spot but not the number 1 spot.)
Persona 3 reload is both the best game in the series and the worst game in the series. The story of P3 is the best and the gameplay is the worst because of the dungeon, P3 has the best social link in the series with Akinari Kamiki but also the worst with the Gourmet King. Side note: Persona 3 4 and 5 all have amazing sound tracks so P3 is just as good as P4 and 5. It depends more on which music genres you like more. Hip hop & Rap from P3. J-pop and J-rock from P4. or Jazz and Rock from P5
i have only played Royal and Golden (i've been spoiled enough for p3 it doesnt matter to me anymore), and i could not rank them apart. Both i loved a lot, but both have elements they do better.

I'm the one person who values Persona 3 FES way more than Reload because it felt much more rigged, experimental, and unique while Reload just kinda felt like... P5 lite which I didn't really enjoy because I wanted it to retain it's P3 ridges but tweaked not removed entirely. Persona 5 vanilla was my first Persona game and Royal improved it from a 7 to a 10. As a whole experience it influenced me a ton and it ties with FES. Akechi's Third Awakening single handedly made me feel like I awakened a persona myself like I legit gained so much confidence in myself out of nowhere after watching that scene, my most memorable scene in Persona easily and with the bittersweet "I Believe" kicking in after that was the cherry on top. Persona 3 FES is my favorite but that came from 180° turn around from absolutely HATING everything about the game at first from the dungeon to the what I thought at the time annoying af combat mechanics but a replay with the voices off (cause I just wanted to for some reason) really opened my eyes to the things I really value in games. Persona 4 Vanilla/Golden is a game I enjoy. Chie is my favorite character in the entire franchise, it has my favorite and strikingly relatable villain for me and I feel like it has the best balance of all Persona worlds but, I myself don't value it all that highly over the others so it's kinda just in the middle to me.
Hope you know you aren't the only one 🙏 It's cool that new players were introduced to P3 thru reload and it's great they got to experience P3 but it lacks so much that made me enjoy p3 and it just feels like a husk of what it once was. I still really like reload but I would pick FES anyday

I'm sorry, backtracking being an issue in the palaces and not the TV world? The palaces barely make you backtrack to anywhere that's not accessible via safe rooms and the TV world is a worse tartarus that makes you backtrack in a randomly generated dungeon.
@@penguinpulverizers5985 the tv world does not make u back track nearly as much as the palaces do lmfao and id still rather do the tv world cause its like like 10 floors max and then its over. Plus the battle music is better
My ranking of every persona game I’ve played from best to worst is: 1) Persona 4 Golden. 2) Persona 5 Royal. 3) Persona 5 tactica (mostly just cause I like Toshiro’s story). 4) Persona 3 portable (good story just don’t care for Tartarus. It’s just too grindy and uninteresting to me). As for the moment that sticks with me the most it’s the car chase of Namatame to save Nanako along with the hospital scenes. Mostly because I like Nanako’s character and was very worried about her safety.

Yeah I agree, if we end up getting a p4 remake, I'd love to see dungeons more in the style of p5 or something. They can get REALLY repetitive
