ATTACK ON KIEV: Melnyk "Timing not coincidental!" Russia shoots at Ukrainian children's hospital!
Following the Russian missile attack on a children's hospital in Kiev, the rescue operation on site has continued. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi announced on Tuesday on Platform X that 38 people had been killed and almost 200 injured in nationwide attacks on Monday. 64 people were hospitalized in the capital Kiev, 28 in Krywji Rih and six in Dnipro in the center of Ukraine.
According to the Ukrainian health minister, the attack on the Ochmatdyt children's hospital occurred while heart operations were taking place. Young cancer patients had to be treated outside. The attack caused an international outcry. Russia denied responsibility. It emphasized that it did not attack civilian targets in Ukraine - but there is plenty of evidence that this is not true, including reporting by the AP news agency. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov referred on Tuesday to a statement by the Russian Ministry of Defense according to which a Ukrainian anti-aircraft missile had partially destroyed the hospital.
The city administration of Kiev declared Tuesday (today) an official day of mourning. Entertainment events were banned.
Ukraine's former ambassador to Germany Andrij Melnyk told WELT: "Yesterday was the worst day for the capital since the start of the war." And considers the timing of the serious attack to be anything but coincidental.
