He totally earned his spot as the Combo Breaker 2022 TFH Champion. Still, I'm proud of Bubble for like... basically taking a 10-month sabbatical and running a GRUELING bracket in an environemtn he's not used to and running through winners all the way to GF. Seriously, WTF was that D pool? XD Also, after this moment we went and had Popcorn Baron to heal souls.
@@kawaiiempoleon8721 When you plug 2 keyboards into a single PC, the problem arises that the PC will recognize the same keystrokes from different keyboards as the same, and uh... this caused some serious issues with Zale and Bubble eating each other's inputs during their Winner's Semi's match. They were told that if the both of them were to meet in bracket again, that one of them at least would be provided a Mixbox by Mane6. they agreed that both of them would play Mixbox, thinking that it'd grant the other way too much advantage if one played on keyboard and the other didn't. In Grand Finals, they met, and of course did so. while Zale had SOME experience on a box, this was Bubbleboots' first time even touching any other control method. you can see how this threw off his execution, and his utter dominance climbing up the winner's bracket suddenly got flipped on it's head as he ate the 0-3 from Zale for the reset, and then the second 0-3 to take 2nd place at Combo Breaker 2022. the feel-bads were immediate about the whole situation. that's why you see Arcanel and myself run up on stage to comfort both players.
@@kawaiiempoleon8721 it's less that and more... just how PCs handle multiple keyboards plugged into them. like... maaaaaaaaybe this gets solved if Them's Fightin' herds ran in it's own Operating System or maybe Linux had some sort of support for two seperate keyboards?
@@ClexYoshi I wonder if this could be alleviated by using a keyboard that is locally remappable with a program such as VIA and setting it to use F13-24, scroll lock, numpad buttons etc
Excellent fighting game, I didn't expect it to be this good. It is true that there are few characters and the game is not balanced because Arizona is a great character but she can't match Oleander (the best character in the game) with her ranged attacks. If they create more characters and balance the game so that more characters are suitable for a tournament it's going to be one of the best games.
I get what you mean as a Arizona main myself it’s pretty difficult fighting any of the characters especially with the lasso’s limits. Still though this tournament is proof enough that a Arizona with enough experience and skill behind them can even win against Oleander. Hell the first match was a Arizona/Oleander matchup with Arizona coming out on top.
It is going to be. They announced a few weeks ago it’s going to be on PS4, PS5, Xbone, Xbox series X/S and Switch with rollback Cross-play And the reason it reminds you of Skullgirls is because it’s made using the Skullgirls engine.

I could see everything da player was doing, I know it's because I hardly play da game, And my reactions to frame traps are poor, I was using annie, Skullgirls is low key one of da hardest 2D fighting games to learn, because on da surface its looks cute as hell right. But dig under da surface, Da ceiling is sky high. I saw da potential of Skullgirls only after I dismissed it for years. At first I was like what is this candy ass thrash, same I said bout Dem Fightin Herds. Then I watched Sonicfox gameplay. I was shocked at the depth of those games. Brought Skullgirls straight away. Just have to play online more and lab more I guess. Kinda frustrating when I got tons of epic fighting games already. I tend to forget skullgirls is in my collection on my digital download for ps4 and switch. Love da game and fgc

I can't say I know anything about Shadow Labrys, but I'm sure the answer is because TFH is basically an anime fighter and the devs love anime fighters, so lol. You're bound to find similarities to many such characters in the TFH movesets.
Man, you don't know the half of it... Asterius ain't got shit on FHTNG (We call him Fred) You can input a command for Fred, block, BE IN BLOCK STUN and the command will come out. Fred Leeches your meter when he hits you to extend the Fred timer. This is in addition to the attacks Oleander already has that Meter Leech. Fred is already on a character who has some of the best buttons in the game. Fred has a FAT ass anti-air on 1D, a full screen punch behind you on 4D, and a air hitgrab that causes ground bounce to extend combos on 2D. he's also got a low you can charge to vary the timing on a character with a grounded overhead, so Fred gives her MIX TOO! People play Oleander because she's got so much more clear-cut of a win condition then the rest of the cast, since she can zone and poke and harass in neutral until level 2 and then Fred comes in and bodies you SO hard.
@@ClexYoshi Asterius at least seems to be what allows Shadow Labrys to have enough blockstun to land her hits safer than Ariadne with normal Labrys while Fred is the win condition when paired with Oleander's moves.
Bit old but Shabrys 5C is like + a million, not to mention you have to deal with bite loop and poison and silence. And then you pop titanomachia and your opponent basically has to just hold that. I forget the 2.0 changes but in 1.1 Shab was a contender for top tier but her execution requirements held her back compared to say Narukami, Mitsuru, Yosuke, etc. I'd say Oleander is closer to Relius since they're more hybrid characters with doll aspects

Man I love watching a tournament where only like 5% of the character roster is being used. Really says something for the game balance.
Literally all the characters available in that time were used at least once in the tournament, but i get what you say about all the oleanders
