Great channel, almost feels like a family sit com, after school special u want to hurry home and watch. Other channels are to official when describing trails or fixes, they feel too profesional like ur watching an instructional manual. Thx for the very personable channel makes it fun to watch. Awsome work kepn it real!
Funny that you dissed on the aluminum driveshafts, cause that is what comes on the Tundra. Ask me how I know and when the u-joint goes it usually messes up the bearing caps c-clip holders.
How much did yours cost? On my 2nd Gen I had a 2nd gear shutter. Toyota charged me $1385 to replace driveshaft. Got recall notice in mail a month later. Got my $1385 back!
I got charged a lot for labor then. Glad I got it all back. The only paid out of pocket repair other than maintenance was $300 for them to replace a hub. Not bad for a 14 1/2 year old truck. It had 249K when I traded in for the 2020. After a tune it drives like it is supposed to.
most abused tacoma I've seen on youtube love it keep it up
Thanks man 👏🏻
I banged my driveshaft last week at Lytle Creek as well, good to know I can work on it myself. Thanks man!
Sure thing! As long as you don’t have a nasty vibration you should be solid

Thank you for the feedback 💪🏻 good to know people are enjoying the channel
I'm banging my driveshaft right now just watching another awesome video! 🤠
Nice video! That shaft took a beating! Surprised you didn’t knock off the counter weights 😂
Good stuff 🤘
A video on the Tacoma’s reliability after all that wheeling would be awesome man🤙🏽 Greetings from Az🌵
Working on something like that soon 👏🏻
since you replaced entire driveshaft, did you need to mark any areas with whiteout or paint for aligning purposes? i'm assuming not?
Replace u joints with greaseable ones, when trail fixing or buying non oem ones
I believe stock u joints are also greasable👏🏻
I was shocked to find the ones on my Tundra weren’t. Toyota USA getting cheap on us
What about if your drive shaft came apart at the middle?

Not bad at all for that old of a truck…definitely gets much more expensive when you start adding in labor cost
What lubricants do you run Dustin?
Like grease?
@@66Duffman Sorry bud, I meant engine, diff, transfer case oil. Curious after 85k tough miles on the odometer.
I have to say, I've always wondered why the intro is always so loud compared to the rest of the video.
It is a little louder we’re working on that 👏🏻
@@66Duffman definitely 😊
Question about your crossover pipe mode need details
No mods it’s just smashed 😂
@@66Duffman on stock taco they had it below the cross member for transfer case. Yours looked like you did a relocating.
No relocation it’s been cut out to have a new pipe put on….it’s gets smashed into the front driveshaft all the time
@@66Duffman ahh ok makes sense now .
🇦🇷
Dooope
current mileage?
85k
Just curious how much an OEM part was?
Around 850
@@66Duffman Oh shit dude thats cheap!
