I don't know why but in the middle of all this terrific comedy the Mountain Bell ad had me tearing up. Thanks for these mate, this director really knew his stuff. Cheers mate.
She was certainly a remarkable find. Even over here in UK, where the ad never ran and we don't even have Wendy's, the slogan was well known. I think it's Clara's delivery that really sells it. Even when she only gets to shout 'where!' in the drive-in ad, it's still hilarious.
What a talent, so many good ads
This is amazing I miss these so much especially as you get older and then there’s not much on tv no more
Joe was a commercial comedy genius😅
"I named the house after my wife. Her name is Edna." It doesn't get any better than that.
you dont see the words "orwellian" and "screwball" heard to describe something often, but the world mr sedelmaier painted comes close

Good to hear from you, Mark! And I agree about that ad; it was nice to see that side of him in-between all the madness
We’ll I miss the ones I grew as kid that they don’t have anymore I guess the internet ruined a little bit of it
Clara Peller, the "where's the beef " lady in the Wendy's commercials in the 1980s was a hairdresser in Chicago
