- Most of these are Sedelmaier classics. There might be a few at the end that are not from Sedelmaier but fit in the same genre. This came across my desk when I was an A/V Manager at an ad agency in the 1990s
These commercials are a SCREAM a minute!! I miss commercials like these!!
Long distance is cheaper before 8am. Dialing "direct". I bet that's hella confusing for the kids these days. 😆
Checkout the ad starting at 11:58. See if you think those pelican fountains on the lawn front...could possibly resemble SOMETHING ELSE..LMAO
I wonder if it was intentional!
@@mablesyrup1571 I don't know...But!!..I don't think they thought that at the time...it never would have made it to commercial Television..I think
@@HarrisO.R8 John, watch the 60 minutes interview with Sedelmaier. He definitely knew!
Oh, they're supposed to be pelicans,?!
My father did Sedelmaier commercials in his 70's. Mom still got residuals from the Alaska Airlines one til she passed in 2016.
Hitler baby dolls 😂 Couldn't pull an ad like that off today.
I forgot that we used to actually call it "Federal Express". I'm old.
At 11:11 ...oh no!!!!! Not ketchup on a hot dog!!!!!!
Seen most of these but still funny. Hadn't seen the Mr. Coffee commercials before, they were good. The Little Caesar's commercials from this same time period were also Sedelmaier.
I had the VCR game Commercial Crazies when I was ten or so. I didn’t play the game much just watched the tape over and over. Got nostalgic last night and found it on RUclips. As a kid I never paid attention to the fact that they were all from one agency. Man, Sedelmaier were advertising geniuses. After watching them all again, I realize what a huge impact they’ve had on my own sense of humor. I still phrase things the way they might have or use lines that used to crack me up. Did you work at Sedelmaier? You just mention “an ad agency.”
I had the game also. Never played it. Just watched the vhs tape over and over.
Question: "Born?"...Answer: "Yes." Genius.
I remember the Jartran spot with Clara Peller, and she has an appearance in a funny Wendy's spot.
The person without the candy bar failed art school
I remember a complilation on TV's Funniest Commercials using various Sedelmaier Commercials, a Few that aren't here too like the one in the Store with "Communicable Diseases on 4th!"
11:58 -- Those fountains are supposed to be shaped like pelicans. But at first glance, they look like . . .
17:45 -- That Maverick sure did age rapidly.
Wes Anderson had to be influenced by these
12:40 I didn't know Peter Thomas narrated commercials too.
"One Take Thomas" was in commercials a lot back those days. Good catch!
8:36- **Cruller is shoved out of a window**
CRULLER: "AAAAAAAhhhhhhhhhhhhh--------"
SECRETARY: "What happened to Mr. Cruller?"
SMILING, DEADPAN EXCECUTIVE: "He took an early retirement."
SIMON OAKLAND (v.o.) "FEDERAL EXPRESS- When it absoulutely, *POSITIVELY* has to be there overnight!"
1:28 Comercial Computadoras Kaypro
Half the male actors looked like Woody Allen. Was that a thing, then?
1000 FedEx commercials.
Most actual television shows are less funny than these
Those dolls are all baby HItlers 😅
