the fx30 has a 6k sensor that's oversamples 4k footages, even the fx3 and fx6 doesn't have that. apsc cameras are portable and for shooting movies and film it is more ideal and convenient that's why it has more legacy support and that's why it's cheaper and more effective than the full frame counterpart. plus it actually has 26 megapixels compared to the fx3 and fx6 which have 12 and becomes unusable in crop mode because of the low mega pixels.... it is actually really interesting how the fx30 manages to get 4k 120fps with 26 megapixels which the 7s iii, the fx3, fx6 cannot get more than 12 megapixels at full frame.

I love how all the RUclips reviews about the a7iv completely reamed it for having a 1.5x crop in 4k60. Then the next week they praised the fx30 for the same frame rate and crop. Like wtf, last week you said you couldn’t live with a 1.5x crop and now you’re fuckin praising it?
The only reason why it's difficult to use the a7IV crop is because of you are hybrid shooting photo and video is a PITA to go from full frame then when you film video 4k60 the crop is massive. Other than that, if you are video shooting only, with the right lens 4k60 is fine

I have an XH-2S and it’s definitely capable! I am chuffed to bits with it! I had canon for the longest of time, started with canon film, then went to the 300D 5D 5Dmk2 along with some apsc bodies for sport and wildlife, but the price inflation priced me out. The OG 5D was 1200 pounds by the time it got to the mk4 it had risen to over 4k.
Fujifilm on the other hand has been exceptional, prices have stayed relatively the same and the performance of my current XH2S is brilliant! Plus the regular firmware updates, really shows Fujifilm dedication to the consumer.
Anyway, with a lot of third party lenses now offering f1.2, you’re seeing less distinction between FF and CS.
I shoot with a super 16 size sensor, it is def trash and unprofessional but phuc it.

@@ChrisParayno It takes photos with an electronic shutter, not mechanical shutter. The electronic shutter will probably show 'light banding' when taking photos with indoor artificial lighting.

Im fx3 user, and got question, because I don’t have fx30,but I had chance to use a7iv .
Between not much price difference you think fx30 is better or a7iv for video?
I do understand they use apsc sensors in Hollywood, but they use lights all the time,and this definitely know dynamic range is lower compare to full frame.
I just think full frame is Better due bigger pixels and better in low light.💡:) it’s about where your money goes, if is better to add a little more money for a7iv?

Super 35mm like in-between ff and apsc ...it's not common . Now neither are medium four third 8mm 16mm nor smartphone sensors drones webcam or security.
Most would either ff or apsc for reach or faster shoot and travel compact.
I recommend either ff and apsc lenses to fit correct ff or apsc bodies...do not match well other sensor sizes well.

I’ll be honest APSC is great tbh but “Super 35” in Hollywood is more like a 1.28x crop (RED Helium 8K) or even less like 1.17 on the older RED Epic Dragon. A 1.5x crop is veryyyyyyy on the line with calling itself a Super 35

Far as I'm concerned, sensor size is like the least of a film makers problem in camera choice. I realized that sensor size and full frame whatever is somewhat only RUclipsrs obsession but on the field, that is not a big deal at all.
I think more filmmakers think about it than RUclipsrs. RUclipsrs use and iPhone or whatever.
Filmmakers have 10 cameras and 50 lens every month with all types of lighting.
I think it does make a difference for the look you're going for.
Today's problem is they put out stuff so frequently and filmmakers keep chasing the perfect footage
