- Hello here is a new short video made unexpectedly, it allows me to show you more or less the performance of the Sony fx30 in low light with a subject lit from the front
Everything was shot in 50fps and in slog3

This video is the right answer for those saying that FX-30 is not good at low light. Kudos to you, bro!
A lot depends on the lens.
@@Zdenek_Houdek “As long as I see my image first and I have to look for the noise, then the noise is no problem” even F2.8 or F4 it still makes your clients satisfied
@@vu.binhan
I'm not a professional. I mostly use powerzoom 4 (Sony) or zoom 2.8 (Tamron) lenses for my amateur shots, but there are situations when I have to reach for fixed glass 1.4 (Sony) (for example, shots in a dark forest).
When editing, I usually recognize the lens with which I shot the shot.
I just got one - from full frame to Apsc I was amazed of how well it did in low light .
i just purchase my FX30 and i'm totally in Love with it
great camera at a good price, well done sony!
I am certain that a denoise and color correction was applied to this clip, but it shows you what a gorgeous video you can achieve. It definitely caught my attention.
Well yeah, that's done even when it was shot on an ARRI or RED. Standard color grading is all your saying, but the end result isn't always the same. It doesn't really matter what brand it is, 10 bit 4:2:2 will always come out the other side cleaner than anything less.
you can get the exact same thing in 8-bit 4:2:0, this scene is not that graded @@nicholasjames5471
Netfilx grade footage, Amazing!
hi, great video. What lens did you use for this spot?
Really smooth great job!
This is so beautiful!!!
Awesome visuals!
This looked good. I thought some inner thoughts dialogue was gonna happen for a sec. This was good I need to get my FX30 on a home film now too.
Good video, the lighting is smooth. But wondering how this was lit. I see a practical ( lamp ) but it also is your keylight ? As for the window, was it natural light ? or a fixture. Really nicely done.
Great video ! Did you do the color grading yourself ?
It would be great if you include the lenses and settings you used in these shots in the description
It looks like 50fps iso 800 and 35mm f1.4
@@calvinatdrifterstudio8438 you reckon 35mm fe or e mount?
Good work i love it!
Great video. What lense did you use?
Thx, sigma 16mm 1.4
Well done! Can at lens specifically do you use for those shots? Thx!
on this video which was not planned I was at the sigma 16 mm 1.4
I dont understand this thing where reviewers seem to be comparing this to A either like FX6-9 or full frame camera's, the lowlight performance for an APS C camera let alone a film camera is absolutely stunning, I have worked with far worse camera's that cost far more
True statement
Or even worse I notice a lot of reviews focus on its photo taking abilities... I mean...wtf
Love it. How do you achieved such good details in blacks? I cant get rid off big noise from dark scenes that easily
are you shooting on a fast lens?
@@davemorphling7432 i usually shoot on 24-105 f4
f/4.0 ain't gonna cut it, get a f/1.4 (sigma, viltrox, or sony) which will be +3 stops brighter, and you only need to overexpose 1.7 stops to get a clean image @@adaml8204
@@adaml8204 consider shooting on a faster lens! it really helps a lot though you’ll reduce some significant amount of the ISO, 2.8 lens is good enough for that :)
Excellent!!! . How do you get more than 2,200 views with just 92 subscribers? How do you do it?
I have no secrets, I have an audience that is open to this kind of video, this same kind of video that is rather "consumer" quickly and goes to the essentials, people do not subscribe but watch and comment and honestly, that's more than enough for me, I've been posting on RUclips for just a few months, and I'm super happy to be able to share this
@@Dupre6 do you share on social media too?
@@niceshortfilms6856 nope
@@Dupre6 what lut are you using for this video?
Love it!
Thanks!!
Great vidioes.. I shoot mostly documentary films where lights are not controllable. Do you think this camera will work in minimal light source like fire, full moon! A bit confused because here this is no avilable till now in my country. Thanks
hello honestly if it is for a constant use in low light I do not advise you the Sony fx30, but rather an A7 III now second hand it is really findable for cheap, and take a lens with a large aperture type f1.4
@@Dupre6 currently I am using a7iii but lack of 10 bit is the issue. If fx 30 is not enough then I will go for a7iv.
What software or plugin did you use for noise reduction?
and the lens and setting you used sir and also the color grading pls
Awesome. What ISO?
2500 :)
Who is the artist featured in this clip ? Just curious ...
GG
What ISO did you shoot this at? Looks great!
I used its native isos 800 and 2500 the night is quickly arrived
@@Dupre6 great work. Do you prefer the image from the Fx30 or the Zcam?
@@alteredcortexdesign1197 These are two different cameras, for two different uses :)
wooo wooowwoow!!
Love my FX30, I use it more than my A7IV
For youtube vlogging which one will you recommend out of both
Lense?
Time by Hans Zimmer + This shot ❤
💚
Great, the low light looks good, the colors look also nice but I think “Time” is so overused as music for videos
Alright, I'll bite : how?
what overlay did u use ?
pls rply what lens you used ?
sigma 30mm 1.4
What lens have you used?
sigma 16 mm 1.4
why 50fps and not 60fps?
Please suggest me lens fx30
if you don't have a lot of money but you still want quality I advise you sigma and viltrox, on the other hand if you have a big budget look at the range of Sony or Sigma Art (which are cheaper but excellent)
Sigma 18-50 f2.8 comes under 550 dollars
@@dp_ion tamron 17-70mm 2.8 *
I used base iso 800 and 2500 lowlight why is the noise coming?
The problem is that the s log 3 is very noisy, also it has a rather particular way of exposure, I think that from the moment you use a sony camera with its slog 3 it is necessary to foresee an optic with a large opening.
Thanks
@@directorofphotographynisha5873 Chroma noise is common but easily fixed. I use DaVinci Resolve and a straight forward Noise Reduction node at default parameters cleans it up totally. The default parameters don’t even seem to slow down Resolve. I use it as an NLE so for me the problem is very, very treatable.
Sony FX30 low light footage, and you give more information about Music. Thank you for nothing.
Yes indeed, you have correctly read the thumbnail of the video, well done
