  • These Arduino based projects were designed by industrial design students at Brunel University London as part of a second year brief to create vending machines. There were lots of really cool machines created this year and this is a small sample of some of the projects we were lucky enough to test out and mark.
If you wish to get in contact with any of the students please let me know and I will put you in touch! Enjoy :)

Honestly, these were great, every single one of them, what makes it more amazing is that it was done by 2nd-year students. Well done to them

Hi, there were initial tutorials to teach the students but nothing on their vending machines, they were created by the students from scratch. Sorry :)

Just because something is possible, does not mean you have to do it nor that it needs to be done. Why not think of a problem then solve it instead of creating a problem that doesn't need solving first?

It was part of a learning process that was designed to be engaging and relevant. You wouldn't ask a 5 year old to do physics for NASA... you would teach them basic maths first. An extreme example but it stands none the less. I am currently working on research projects to drastically reduce the cost of robotic prosthetics, if that helps.
