I made this seed bark today. It is amazing. I am always looking for recipes for food to take on backpacking a self contained bicycle trips. This is a winner!
So yummy! As all of the recipes are! This one can be made savory or sweet! Add rosemary, or any spices and some braggs or tamari or hot sauce to bind and voila! Thank you Esselstyn family for ALL you do to save lives! Much love and appreciation. I have had the opportunity to save lives by sharing Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease, Engine 2, The China Study and so much more of your family's works with my friends, colleagues and family who have learned as well.
I made Seed Bark yesterday, ohmygosh it is so good, I can hardly stop eating it!! I sprinkled it on my lunch salad, then we put some on 'nice' cream last night. Thank you for that recipe!
I made this today with the suggestion of the added candied ginger. These are AMAZING!!!!!! Thank you for all that you do to bring us delicious food ideas!! I love the videos! They have given me the courage to try more recipies that I would not normally have tried.Thank you so much!! I am already waiting for the next video!
These Seed Bark Puck treats are awesome! Can’t stop munching on them. I’ve been looking for a plant based snack to take when I’m cycling. These pucks will be perfect. Thanks you!
Oh my goodness! This seed puck recipe is SO yummy!! I can’t believe these few ingredients make this yumminess! The pucks are still”crackling” 😁 These will be a new staple for sure! Thanks!
Y’all just crack me up!! Thanks for the recipe! I’ve been plant based 2 years now. Was diagnosed 3 years ago with mctd and I’ve been able to come off a total of 6 pills a day! Not 100% yet but still working on it. 😄
I love watching you, amazing recipes and information. Also, you remind me of the memories I have with My grandmother , mom and aunts all spending time together growing up. It is an energy of joy , that I cherish. These simple pleasures are really the music notes to life.
Just made seed bark pucks with the ginger! Absolutely gorgeously amazing!!!!!! I watch your videos every day and use your book, love it all, I am addicted to the lightning bowl too, keep cooking I love it xx
I was verbally given a recipe like this without instructions. It was great but it and mis. I cook like your mother, I experimented with my food and it is fun. Now I have better instructions. I was told it is a German brittle and can be made with a simple Syrup. However nothing beats the taste of maple syrup. Thank you so much. I just realized I was not cooking it long enough.
Going to be cold and snowy here in central PA over the weekend, so this will definitely be on my "to-do" list! Thanks ladies!! Your the greatest, and like others, I love Anne's face when she sneaks some food!!! LOL!
I made this the other day. Loved it! My husband also liked it. I would use 3 tbsps of maple syrup. I used roasted seeds and would not make using them again.
Mine are in the oven now. I just was thinking "I need to do something with all these seeds" and this video came up. Smells wonderful, will force myself to wait until they've crackled and cooled!
Im Korean and I grew up eating a sesame seed snack like this, but I now live in Texas and the Mexican market sells amaranth seed bark that is very similar! So delicious.
I Made These. They’re So Good! 😋 And Then I Put The Extra Bits On My Oatmeal, Omg, So Good. I’ve Been Eating It Over Oatmeal The Past 3 Mornings... Delicious 😋 Thanks For The Recipe
I also love crystallized ginger! Warning for people not used to eating it - I’ve put chopped bits in oatmeal cookies before and some people found it to be too ‘hot’ spicy for them. I’m currently working on trying to figure out how to crystallize my own ginger without sugar. Not successful yet.
Just looking out your window - it's snowing! I haven't seen snow for years (I'm English) because it doesn't snow in Adelaide S Australia (well very very rarely on the higher elevations but there aren't any mountains). We're expecting 41 degrees C on Sunday : ( Not fun. Thanks for the wonderful video - way too hot to put the oven on!
@@annasutton8078 I love them too : ) Love freshly fallen snow - not much fun when it gets icy under foot or slushy. I remember the days when you got the washing off the line and it was stiff : ) (I'm old) well maybe that was the frost not the snow.
@@angelau1194 Happy memories, frozen window panes in my bedroom.A hot water bottle at night. Yes washing on the line stiff as a board. Playing in the snow in your wellies and mittens or gloves all icy. A happy childhood in Norfolk.
Can't wait to make this...do I need to keep in the fridge and how long will it last? I been following Dr Esselstyn since learning of my family high history of heart disease from both sides of my parents.I then purchased the Prevent and Reverse heart disease book, The best decision I've ever made. Started following Engine 2 and Forks Over Knives as well. So gradually I have gone plant-based and love it everything about it. Thank you so much for sharing this recipe. Love you girls 💕
It might be interesting to add dehydrated apples and cinnamon to recipe. I make Ralph Moss's seed snack which is savory and everyone loves it. Thanks for new recipe.
I saw in your cookbook the sweetener you use is maple syrup to follow your dietary rules. Can you use raw agave nectar? It doesn't raise sugar levels. Thank you. Love you two!💙💚💛💜
I love this recipe ! My main tip USE MAPLE SYRUP! I’ve attempted it a couple times with agave syrup and it’s just not thick enough to stick it all together unfortunately :o)

Thank you for this! Just bought the book! I just love this recipe and I am going to give it a try… Does the fat content of the seeds concern you at all? You probably have excellent self restraint and won’t eat the entire tray… I am not sure if I can do that so I usually avoid these recipes! We will see if I can make this snack stretch for a few days!😬😬😬
No, it's not. And maple syrup isn't allowed on the Plant Perfect/Reversal form of the Esselstyn diet, either. www.foodasprevention.com/dr-esselstyns-latest-basic-recommendations/
Bark looks so good, and I love seeing the snow falling behind u.
So lovely watching this video from Australia on a warm sunny day, with the snow falling in the background. Just great.
Ann’a facial expression the second before the maple sirup measuring spoon went in her mouth 😋
Love the snow falling through the window!

Thank you for sharing the measurements. Always rather useful to have those.
Sweet tooth Annie, leaves no syrupy spoon unlicked! (I've noted a pattern of behavior 8) !
Can't wait to make this one. Thanks!

They look so delicious 😋 Once they are baked I would gobble all of them. Thanks for sharing.
Snowing, how cute! Love your recipes.💖
Me encantan las dos, me hacen sonreír, y también me gusta la idea del snack. Bravo !
It's always a joy watching both of you.
I have been making this for over a year now and I love it! I don’t like ginger so I add raisins and it’s delicious!
Love you TWO ladies😊😉 always fun to watch

I made these during this week-end. They are so delicious. We also enjoyed them with a lot of ginger
such great knitter Jane! love knitting too
Might be nice as crumble topping for apple crumble but added after apples are cooked in oven. Worth a try.
I just made them and love them! The ginger is an important ingredient!
Oh my goodness...these are SO addictive! My new favorite snack! Thank you for sharing the recipe! 😊
you guys are so much fun! i wish you did videos every day !!!!!! i know.... too much ...but at least every week????????? pleeeeassseeee :))))))
i must try this dessert!! also these homemade sweaters are sooo cute on you both -AND the neon pink turtle neck is the perfect pop of colour!!! :)
Hi, this made my day! Love these ladies and will def try these.
Mine are in the oven now. I just was thinking "I need to do something with all these seeds" and this video came up. Smells wonderful, will force myself to wait until they've crackled and cooled!
Great video! Just found the channel and loving it!!!
Loved the recipe. I used the crystallized ginger but rinsed the sugar off. Still delicious

You two work so well together! 💕
You are wonderful.
You both are a dream. Loving the videos.
Just ordered my Engine 2 cookbook today & can't wait to get it!
Thank you! I had this at your conference last year in Cleveland - soooooo good! 💕
You FUN😉😊 mother and daughter I see the snow flakes at the back ground through the window
I Made These. They’re So Good! 😋 And Then I Put The Extra Bits On My Oatmeal, Omg, So Good. I’ve Been Eating It Over Oatmeal The Past 3 Mornings... Delicious 😋 Thanks For The Recipe
Absolutely delish - I will try to make this fully raw - soak the seeds, no maple syrup - dates instead, fresh ginger and dehydrate. 😍
That looks tasty and easy too!
You girls make me giggle every time!
Thanks 💕
You could make a cooking show knit along, lol thanks for your shows!
Ann is the freaking cutest thing ever. I wish she was my mother in law. Ha ha. She is awesome.
Sounds delicious!

Ann seems fun to be around :D Inform the masses!
That would also work with unsweetened applesauce or date purée for those looking for alternatives.
Looks delicious
Thank you! ❤️😃🌻
Love your handmade sweaters, too!

You guys are so adorable and this snack looks so good
I'd be tempted to save all the in-between crumbles and add it to my oatmeal.
About to go make that! I don’t have sesame seeds so I’ll swap it for hemp seeds
Some shredded coconut would be amazing!
Just made these delicious 😋
I had no idea you guys were near Cleveland! I'll look for you in Heinen's!
Looks delish!!!
making this tomorrow!
I love Moma Anne❤️
Ann’s face when she got called out for licking the tablespoon! Hahaha. Perfect
Made this with agave instead of maple syrup due to an allergy in the family....delish!!! ❤️
I can't concentrate as I'm glued to the snow falling!!! Oh, I want snow. Anyway, snack looks yummy.
Thank you

This stuff is so good! I can't find any crystalized ginger.... where can I go?!
Looks yummy. Going to try these, thanks ladies. :)Update: I tried it, very yummy. I tried it a second time and added oats=granola right?

I ll be making these real soon 😋
Yum! Not safe for me to keep at home but I would happily bring them to people I visit.
I wonder if they’d work with a little fresh grated ginger.
Sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds has oil

Thank you - your post helped me put on the brakes a bit - I was thinking "healthy" but I have to remember the calories!
Is this recipe truly Plant Perfect with all the seeds? I just started reading P&RHD. It does look amazing!
No, it's not. And maple syrup isn't allowed on the Plant Perfect/Reversal form of the Esselstyn diet, either. www.foodasprevention.com/dr-esselstyns-latest-basic-recommendations/
It is from the plantstrong book, not to reverse hartdisease. ❤️💚
Thank you!
Hi I just made some, they really are great. Thankyou
But how long will they last for without going bad ?
I wonder how this would taste if one used the Dried Mango ( sugared like the ginger).
Thanks. We got the engine 2 cookbook out. Do you have a recipe for the crystallized ginger or where to purchase?
Trader Joe's has it.
