My dad bought a new 60 ranch wagon. It was a rattle trap from day one. Every thing about screamed cheaply made piece of junk. Years later I told him he should have bought a Chevy wagon and he agreed. At 60,000 miles I replaced the main bearings because the oil pressure dropped down to 20psi.
The commercial is a good time capsule of 60+ years ago. The snow was likely asbestos. The Wizard of Oz featured a snow scene (poppy field) where they used asbestos. Many takes, no respiratory protection = actors getting asbestosis later & early death.
Voice Actor Paul Frees! I love it! That last shot of the loaded, I mean loaded Country Squire - that backend was drooping!
William Conrad..
@@blueticecho5690 he was only a little hefty at that time. he didn't become a morbidly obese fat fukc until years later.
Definitely Paul Frees
Man those look incredible! The commercials were full of such style and taste!
A simpler time. A better time.
So, so, so much better.
@@pwrfl2357 Damn right.
My parents had a 1958 and a 1959 Plymouth station wagons. My dad’s was dark blue and my mom’s was turquoise.
Now the government wants us to drive EV's!
EXCEPT the Children wanted to Face the Rear.
It was their Privacy Area.
Looks like Mary Tyler Moore playing the mother in the first commercial
don't think so
@@tvdaysOk, but it’s definitely Paul Frees as the announcer
Filmed at the now gone Columbia Ranch.
