Very nice. Harry will be very jealous when he sees this
Ur the best Irish RUclipsr farmer me and my dad love watching ur vids. ❤
What a beautifully-restored tractor. The Ford engines, like the Masseys, had a very distinctive purr. You could hear them coming before you saw them. A shame that Ford stopped making tractors.
I’m a big Ford fan, and that’s a great restoration. Beautifully done.
Adrian, your work is impeccable, as usual. 👍👍
What lovely memories 🥲
What a beautiful tractor . You can see why your friend Gerry asked you to do those jobs . Your attention to detail and also having fond memories of this tractor , he knew you would have put as much love into it as he has done .
I hope you find your old tractor and I bet you Gerry will be right there offering to help do the restoration with you .
I think it’s 1973 judging by the windscreen frame style but to look that good at 50 years old is impressive.
Yes its a 1973 ish model. By 1975 the bottom of windscreen was straight.
Great video Adrian I grew up with one my father bought one in 1979 a great little tractor, i think the last of them were made in early 1976 that's the year the 600 series were launched
They changed the Ford's from 4000 to 4600 around about 1976. The same as the 7000 to the 7600 before they brought out the q cab.
Great video Adrian, very tidy wiring work 👏
Brings me back to my younger days when my late father had a Ford 4000 as the main farm tractor with the MF 135 as the back-up.
Think the tractor is no later than 75 as of 76 they were a 4600 then 77 started the bubble Q cab. Also that model the rear lights had one side a side light other side was brake light. My dad drove the 4000 for 24 years. Lovely looking machine
Regardless of the colour that’s a fantastic restoration and a real credit to your neighbours. Anyone would be proud of that even us reds men. Great job on the wiring.
I do love the White and Blue colour scheme that Ford used, someone is exceptionally lucky getting to drive that around.
That's some restoration, she looks as well now as she did when she came out of the factory, some job, nice bit of tidying up on the wiring there too Adrian,we had a mini Tornado today in Leitrin village blew the roof off a house and damaged a few more properties lucky no one was hurt
Just seen it earlier on the news, unreal! Don’t think anyone was seriously injured thankfully but a lot of damage done
Beautiful tractor! Those have always been my favorite. Wished they still made them like that.
Blimey, that takes me back to my teen years, they've done a great job in the restoration, and Adrian just tidying up the wiring the way you have competes the project.
First class job , the younger generation should stand back and look what good workman ship looks like 👍
There's nothing more satisfying than helping a friend
Its a joy to look at your work, neat and tidy and everything works as it should
Crumbs Adrian good job you weren’t around over here in the UK when I was a farm machinery repair man, l wouldn’t have had any work! 😂Many thanks for a good video to watch and bring me back some memories 👍
This was so much fun to watch! Love the background stories about this tractor and seeing you with a smile in the footage when you took it for a spin. It's a gorgeous restoration for what is now a tidy little baby tractor. 😊 Thanks Adrian!
What a wonderful Restoration job on it that 4000 puts out a lovely sound, my father owns a ford 3600 lovely wee tractor used it a few times growing up, I'm a red man myself but got a small spot in my heart for these small fords
The first job of mine at Darby Nursery Stock Ltd in Methwold Norfolk had a stack of these back in 1983 as well as Fordsons and Wee Kubotas.
Great learning.
Thanks for a cracking video Adrian. 😊😊😊😊😊
Unreal Adrian, your attention to detail is unmatched as always.. super job
What an Awesome little 4000 that anyone would be very proud to own and drive. Great job on sorting the electrics and tidying up the little bits and pieces to make this little diamond shine even brighter 😀😀
A credit to yous All..A lovely thing to do for the Boss Man.
I learned to drive on a Ford 3000, which looked pretty much like this one. More poignantly, they sound more or less the same and what a sweet sound it is. I throughly enjoyed this. Thank you for sharing it with us Adrian.
My Congratulations to the guy who restored most of the Ford, it looks stunning, and yerself Adrian good work as always.
There certainly was plenty of 4000s around. Great tractors. I like the pictures of it in its work clothes. Fantastic job of doing it up. Must have arrived on some farm like that one day in the 70s.
What a fantastic 4000 . We had on the farm I worked on, and after the dairy farm was sold , we brought it back to the arable farm and had a major clean-up. I'd often jump on it for small jobs before the modern tractors. Love it !! Great stuff, Adrian. Can I take the opportunity to wish you all and your subscribers a very merry Christmas 🎅 🎄 and Happy New year 🎉
I had a 1972 one of these but mine had no glass at the back just a roll down piece of plastic and no indicators, thats what your hands were for. Great piece of kit it was, wish I had it now. Thank you for the memories, Merry Christmas. 🎄
Very special bit of kit. Appears to be brand spanking new. What a nice restoration job. I’ll bet that was one happy dad on Christmas Day! Thank you for sharing.🚜
A great restoration job there. The 4000 was my dad's tractor. We ha a 72 bought from Oakley's in Shrewsbury .I can't see one now without being reminded of him, either ferrying silage or haybobbing some hay.
It's a pleasure to see you working on a ford tractor.
Going through a similar restoration myself with a Massey 2135/135 industrial. All that’s left in the middle of the workshop now is back axle, and chassie up to bell housing. Hopefully engine in sorted in machine shop soon and I’ll get it back to reassemble over holidays and then when the weather warms up sandblasting and painting will start
A great video to watch, a lovely story well told 👍
Great little ford, carted many a load of silage with one of them ,with a 3ton single axle blue West trailer behind 👍👍
Wow Adrian big thanks for that, it brought back a load of memories as a young teenage schoolboy in the early 70s working on a 350 acre mixed arable farm in North Yorkshire. The 4000 was main tractor accompanied by a Fordson Dexta and I believe two Fordson majors. The Ford was in my eyes a big tractor then and used to do the ploughing 3 furrow fixed plough, Howard rotovator, baling ( we didn't have any silage back then). Harvesting etc. Hard work but good times.
Holy Moses your attention to detail and knowledge is unmatched great video as always 👌
It would be great and fantastic for you to get your grey Ferguson vintage tractor fully working again Adrian.
Lovely tractor my cousin still feeding 200 cattle with 5000 he bought 2 year old we all love driving it .your man did great job on 4000
Wow! One of my favourite episodes yet. You are a wonderful man 🙂
Brilliant video Adrian a joy to look at your work neat and tidy used to draw in silage with a ford 4000 years ago brought back memories great tractor
That's some difference to what the tractor used to look like, brilliant plus you are right about the headlight Adrian definitely go for the normal light instead of led
Good man Adrian. I have a 4000 also in need of wiring improvements. There are no videos of any use on RUclips so I would really appreciate some finer details when you get opportunity to wire the digger. Keep up the good work 😊
What a great video and some hard graft has gone into this great tractor. I miss being on the farm with Gramp as he'd had one from 1970 and the next one was a 1973 one the later one had the fibre glass panel behind the seating area to sit on.👍
Great video on the Ford tractor…77. Such a great year..( I was born) still a 135 man myself … like ya sel.. I wish I had my grandfather.. that I learned to drive in…
Wow! What a lovely restoration on the 4000. ...you’re very good at the electrics, no wonder he wanted you to do those jobs👌... looking forward to more vids’ of the Massey Digger... have a lovely Christmas 🎄 with your family...
Thoroughly enjoyed watching this just as much as you enjoyed working on and driving it also lovely little story .
Great to see old machines like that looking great and back on the road.
Very nice video Adrian the Ford tractor is looking great 👍👍👍
Great job on that tractor, wiring is second to none.I have a 7000 with lollipop lights all original she has never had indicators on rear lenses,I’m afraid you removed the correct ones and replaced them with wrong ones.🫣all said I would love to have your talent for wiring
Absolutely class the job that was done on it Creaid to the man that done the work and Creaid to the man that put the money into it . And a class job tidying up the wiring. Work like this has to be appreciated
Great video Adrain, I learned to drive in my fathers 4000 all them years ago. Brought back great memories 👍👍
Well done to all concerned. Fantastic job all round. Credit to " Johnny sparks " at the end. 😅😅
The old vaseline for the battery terminals...
Deffo right choice for headlamps.
Sure she's a grand little yoke.
Wow I love it nice restoration 100 % job well done
Very moving clip Adrian, it's not only awesome to rebuild classics but to support family and friends that must have moved your m8 father to tear. We use to have a Ford 4000 on our farm. 1981. Merry Christmas all
That’s an absolute beauty I used to drive these and was a Ford tractor mechanic later on always loved fords
The 565 and a 135 hope u get them .....great video again
A lovely lovely little tractor Adrian. I wouldn’t be the worlds biggest Ford fan but I always had admiration for the 4000. Top class work might I add on the wiring. Well done. It must be McGinn that done the work I presume
Love the Evenflow sticker on the back, Adrian... Those crazy lads would love this little beauty, as would Declan in France😂
I used to drive a 4000 when a lad, good little tractor side windows a pain for rattling, bad at starting due to no heater plug. I think they where a optional extra, short of weight on backend when pulling. I;e a land roller. That's a nice one there with the full enclosed back end, just needs rev counter fixing. Great repair & upgrade, Adrian
Good man Adrian, your attention to detail is second to none , very neat workmanship , Gerry will be very happy with a job well done 👍
Lovely job and a fantastic looking 4600..I drive one for a long time.
I think it’s so awesome to see some blue paint over there
Thats some makeover they were some tractor the boys who cut our silage in the 90s had one of them pushing up brought me back with the purr off it
Tractor look amazing. I learnt to drive in a Ford 4000. Many happy memories.

Great show Adrian, thanks for sharing 🍻🇦🇺
Great video that's a great thing your friend did getting the ford restored ❤ that just gives me a good idea for some daay
Brilliant video Adrian 👍🏆♥️ The before and after shots 👍 A Ford Daysy "days it works and, days it doesn't" but thanks to you Mr Fix it, and your skills and knowledge it'll be your mates pride and joy again 👍🏆❤ I'm with Sinead and the bubble wrap, "pop"😂
Grand job there Adrian, cracking wee machine and what a lovely gift.👏
Those are absolutely phenomenal tractors.
Lovely build Adrian! That's a great looking 4000!
Class restoration on a lovely little ford
Agreed with the LED lights...originals are the best.
What a clever man you are. Love that little ford tractor 👍
I think the 135s are lovely, our neighbour has one that he restored himself and the 7 pin plug is a deadly handy yoke to have
Great video Adrian 👍 nice to see Hudson out ( loyal boy ! ) you’re a man of many talents, you could do tractor wiring as a side line ! Anyway stay safe 🍻
Adrian, Excellent finishing touches to a well restored gem. Another great video. 👍
Hi Adrian a wee tech tip for you. Hot water and a good squirt of Fairy Liquid will help dissolve those green crystals. A paint brush will speed the process. When done smear grease on the terminals to prevent oxidization and prevent further corrosion. You probably know this already but check electrolyte level make sure it covering the top of the plates. Check the condition of the electrolyte with a hydrometer it may not be as efficient as it should be, may need to replace the acid and have the battery flushed out.
A little beaut of a tractor, she's a sweet little yoke. Ur handy at the oul wiring Adrian.
What was once a tractor fit for a scraper is now back too it's glory 😮.. my god it's immaculate.. great work lads and you too Adrian.. yoir work is second to none.. merry Christmas to you and your family
I see lots of respect in this vid... 👏..A fergie man driving a ford with a grin on his face shows that... 😊.. Nice gesture. They did a power of work... i think if I was going to throw some paint at my 135 I'll be adding hessian sacks for period correct draft excluding 😮😄.. Great work as always sir. .. stay safe 🏴
Fantastic tractor brings back memorys when i was youger an lernt to drive a tractor great to see it
Looking like new
I must admit I’m not a ford fan but that little tractor does look great ,it’s a credit to your friends hard work he’s put in to it . Nice job on the wiring Adrian 👍
That was a lovely Job on that little tractor.Good job you done as well on the electrics,Adrian.
I'm glad you had some sunshine
Absolutely brilliant. Lovely tractor.
You are a very handy man to know and obviously a very good friend. Lovely tractors the early fords I spent many a happy hour in a 8210 that has to be one of the best sounding tractors very made. i found the 4 cylinder fords very noisy.
This little baby was known to frequent the ballrooms of Rockcorry,Ballybay and Castleblaney.
'Night-timer Lover' 😍
Wow, what a transformation
Great video Adrian. What a beautiful tractor she is
A peach...First proper driving I did was on a 4000 just like it ...held her own with much bigger tractors ....I am massey man and would love to see the 565....they were a little gem
